Van Kim Le is an avid reader first and foremost. She enjoys getting lost in a good story, often neglecting chores and other important life things. Writing is her way of decompressing after a long day at the office. She believes that books shouldn’t be complicated and that length isn’t essential in the making of a good story. She works hard at keeping lengthy characterization and background information to a minimum, leaving only what is crucial to the story. She considers, ‘that was an easy read’ to be a compliment. Let her know your thoughts by writing a review.

I truly enjoy this story. It has so much love of family, friends and cultural traditions. Mei has such a strong sense of family and always doing what is right for them, which may leave her out of what she wants. Her moral values her very high where her parents are concerned. Sometimes;as understanding as she is with all her family ,it hinders some of things she wants. Like some of us she considers their feelings and how they would feel if she did something and will they approve. She basis love on her parents love story. Her life is basically good and as she changes and goes to college her family also changes. The families grow and change and many move on. There is sadness and normal stresses of everyday life events. It is a story of true family, love and much hope and happiness. If you enjoy Nicholas Sparks,Richard Paul Evans and other stories like theirs ,I do believe you will really enjoy this. I highly recommend it.
