Rescuing the Queen was easy, now Tania has to save the entire faerie realm. Now they must rescue King Oberon if there is to be any hope of winning the war. He is bound in an amber prison surrounded by bars of Isenmort, which will make his release very difficult, if only they knew where to find him. Tania, Edric and Tania’s two sister Cordelia and Zara set off on a quest to Ynis Maw, the end of the faerie world. They hope to find King Oberon, release him from his prison and join his power with Queen Titania’s to over throw the Sorcerer King. The journey is far and there are many obstacles to face. Will they rescue King Oberon in time and lead them into victory?

The Sorcerer King was my favorite book of The Faerie Path series. The characters were finally well defined, maybe it helped that I had gotten to know them in the three books. Even though the book is predicable at times, I still enjoyed the adventures to Ynis Maw and the new characters that were introduced. I loved the exploration into the faerie realm, as well as the never-ending supply of action and adventure around every turn. If you are a fan of the first two books, you will not be disappointed with the third.

Of the three books in the Faerie Path series, I felt this one was the best. There was much more of a fantasy aspect to it than the other two had. Lots of strange creatures, a war, and some death. I also liked that the book allowed young women to be strong and powerful and not helpless.

You must read the first two books to understand what is happening in the third, and although this was the best of the three, the other two are worth reading if only to get to the third installment.

Loved the ending to this book! This book definitely was better than the last two! Had a lot of action and getting to the ending was amazing. I loved the redemption of Rathania. And so glad Gabriel is no more. Such a jerk using Rathania and Tania. The reuniting of Titania and Orberon was so sweet and their power is just beautiful. I hope her mortal parents deal with Faerie well! The next book will definitely be interesting

I feel this series is improving but only vastly and I still don't feel that this is a series I am enjoying reading,

I didn't really like this as much as the other Faerie Path books, but I think perhaps it is because I'm getting tired of them. You can only drag something out for so long. Yes, it was good. Sure, it could be exciting in parts. But even though the characters were the same as in the other books, I got tired of them, even annoyed. Tania seemed really blond most of the time. The scenes with her and Edric made me want to cry from annoyance. It was fairly predictable. The language of Tania's sisters still seems forced.

And yet, it could be pleasant to read as well. The adventure to Ynis Maw was very inventive. The story had a good ending. Frewin didn't bring any dead people back from the dead. The writing was fair. Nothing really changed that much from the first two books, so I'm trying to grasp what it was about this one that I didn't really like, and I think it's just that the story is getting old. I need something new and shocking.

Perhaps we'll find it in the next one.

After reading the first two books, I decided to finally start reading this one, and even if it took me a while to finish, I can definitely say it was well worth it. The overall adventure and tone of the book were written at a good pace for the story, the ending of it also ended on quite the good note which leaves me curious for the next. The character progression (their motives and their trials) were also really good. The only thing I had to say that I didn't like was that there were some areas where I feel more emphasis could have been put, some sectors where things went too quickly and it left me with an overall empty and dissatisfied feeling. Overall, it was a rather good read and I am really excited to continue on with the next one.

I liked all of the other books way better than this one because he killed Zara. She was my favorite person in the book.

*3.5

For the first time, I felt like this was truly a YA series. Maybe because the plot became denser , the pacing felt a whole lot better, the stakes felt higher, and you could see struggle and consequences being part of the characters' lives. Don’t get me wrong, the sisters have been showing more of their personalities, and I am loving getting to know them better and seeing how brave they are (iconic, to be honest, to see female characters thrive without being compared to male ones),

I loved seeing more about Faerie's creatures too, and maybe it's the world setting that helped this book have a higher ranking when compared to its brothers. Not just because of the plot, but the world-building, to me, disguised as a quest, was richer and more enveloping.

But I still feel like a lot of things were convenient, and I have the ghost of the shallowness of the first book going around some decisions. The dialogue, especially with modern characters like Tania and Edric, is borderline cringy (but part of the times, I get that) and it just sucks the life out of me, you know?

As always, I skipped the long and tedious descriptions and focused mainly on dialog. Read a couple of paragraphs to get a grip of where the characters were, what they were doing etc, but it wasn’t hard to follow along.
The very long paragraphs filled with annoying adjetives were very much useless most of the time, anyways.

Really enjoyed the adventure, though the plot was very much predictable and annoying sometimes.
Didn’t know I eould cry eith Rathina and her sisters, but I guess it was a breath of fresh air to have them be opposed, to fight, experience anger and hatred, and a strong unwillingness to forgive.
That makes a person. The way they are good but have flaws as well.
Tania, since she’s a Mary Sue, was as goodhearted, pleasant and all that, as ever. Annoying sometimes, others, just bearable.

Hated that Zara died. Hated that I didn’t get to know how/when the Queen and King met.
Hated that Tania sincerely thought she was the one who was going to die. It was so obvious that it wasn’t her, but okay 🙄
I think her mortal parents are stupid and two-dimensional.

Now, I did love Rathina and the way her character is so nuanced, the potential there, and the way she admitted abd recognized her evil deeds and the love that haunted and cursed her.
I think that was deep and clever.

The novel I purchased is titled “The Sorcerer King,” so evidently it’s been renamed. It is book three in a series. It I’d definitely YA, not adult. It isn’t awful, but I’d only give it a 2.5. The characters are pretty much caricatures. They don’t truly have individual voices, although they have firmly established Fae talents.
Tania collects her mom and returns to the Faerie Realm with her sisters. Her father has been kidnapped and stashed away by the Sorcerer King, who is incredibly powerful. The evil king is torturing the Far, and restoring their castles and libraries. The land is literally dying.
I purchased the series at the used bookstore. I will finish reading it, but only because I bought it. If I hadn’t, I’d pass.

The Seventh Daughter was good, but the end was sad. That is because something really sad happens to one of the daughters of the Queen and King. I would rate this book with 3 stars because I still feel like you shouldn't waste your time on this book series. It is an unusual book series and I really feel like it kind of wastes your time reading it. I wouldn't suggest this book to anyone. But if you are going to read it I would suggest 11 and older because I think that little kids wouldn't get this book series.

this one took me awhile to get through. I was sick on and off and training at work so the pages did not flow as easily for me as the previous books in this series. The fun faerie series takes a darker turn in this book with King Oberon imprisoned and the Realm of Faerie is faced with new dangers. It seems to come down to Tania to save her home and family.

Tania, her mother Tatiana, and her sisters go back to Faerie and try to the stop the Sorcerer King from conquering Faerie. Tania and her sisters go to free their father while Tatiana rallies Faerie. This is a fun version of Faerie. I like the fact there is room for redemption. There is also a good resolution of Tania relationship with Faerie and the Mortal world.

So good!!!! I got engrossed into the story and managed to read the book in 10 hours. I loved every second of it!!!
I read the books out of order, but I never got confused with the plot. I don't suggest doing the same, but if you ever wanted to read only a few of the books, start with book 1. I loved this series, and I will 100% go back to reread it later!!!! 🩵🐛🧚‍♀️🩵

This book was extremely violent and gory compared to the prior two. More errors as with the previous books in terms of continuity - at one point, Tania and Eden are transformed into rats, and Tania realises that she cannot see the colour red. The book then goes on to describe seven instances of red in the hall, with only one - a dress - that Tania thinks must be red as she sees it as dark blue, though she knows the gown to be scarlet. ...What? There is a lot of cross-country travel, and unlike some other books I have read (namely Wolf Wing by Tanith Lee), the descriptions of changing scenery don't seem to overwhelm or become repetitive.
Tania's questioning about why the faerie she knows/is descended from don't have wings to the faerie that do have wings is cut off ridiculously. I wanted to know as much as she did, and I would not have been called away so easily. It seems like a really hard dig at "read my next books!" to me. I'd rather have not gone there, or come to some sort of answer, instead of being promised another three books to go through, which, I've been told, also end on a similar note.
**SPOILER ALERT** The battle near the end was excellent, but the death of one of the sisters is extremely contrived and filled with entirely too many hesitations and confrontations for me to take it seriously; it all feels as though he knew he needed a heartbreaker at the end, but couldn't write it more convincingly than that.
All in all, enjoyed it more than the second book, though a lot of implausibility and continuity errors were to be found; reads as an alright ending to the series if you want to quit here (which I am doing); but doesn't mesh with the world created in the first part of the series. Though the idea of a Sorcerer King that is the opposite of all that Faerie is should equate such bloodthirstiness, readers of the appropriate age for the first two books won't appreciate this one (having read reviews by mothers and relatives of mildly traumatised daughters, I know this is actually an issue), and it feels like the author forgot who he was writing for. No relationships progressed from book one to this, and actually feel as though they've regressed, and yet again, sixteen year old girl from a mortal world background is able to outsmart, outlead, and outfight the entirety of thousand-plus-year-old generals, armies, and Faerie Queens, as well as Sorcerer Kings with horrible dark magic and metal/Isenmort on their side.

In this third book to the Faerie Path, Edric, Tania and her sisters, Cordelia, Sancha and Zara re-enter Faerie with there newly found Faerie mother. But when they arrive, they find out that the Sorcerer King of Lyonese is killing every thing in sight and they have to stop it. Unfortunately, they do not have help from their Faerie sister Rathina, who sits by the side of the Sorcerer King. Soon, Tania, Edric, Cordelia and Zara set out for a quest, in order to stop the deadly King and save all of Faerie, they venture out to unknown lands in hopes of restoring their beloved home. But will they ever be able to save their country from the evil kings wrath? Read and find out! This was a fascinating book with adventure and mystery at every turn of the page!
As for what I thought about this book, I liked it, I really did. However, I think that it went a little bit slow. At times durring the book, I found myself skipping ahead and trying to find out what happened later in the book. I also found myself putting the book down and not wanting to pick it back up at times. It sort of kept going on and on like, Oh no, our father has been captured! We have to find him! We can't be out in the open where anybody can get us! It felt like forever that they were hiding in the forest and going on their quest to rescue their father. The only thing that made me want to keep reading was the fact that I had read ahead and found out what happened and I wanted to find out how that happened. In the end though, it turned out to be a fairly good book and I defenitly want to read the next book, but I thught that it needed some more action and less fear and running all the time. But that won't stop me from continuing the series and finding out what happens, if I came this far, I HAVE to know what becomes of Tainia in the end!!!
