Thoroughly enjoyed reading this novel. Interesting to learn about generational trauma and it was presented in a page turning and thrilling manner. While some of the content was at times hard subject matter, it was presented in a respectful manner. I recommend this as an easy and thrilling read.
Thanks to Goodreads and Amazon Kindle for the opportunity to read this story.
This just wasn’t for me. The plot was too convenient? It was interesting to see how the trauma of one generation impacts the next, yet I had trouble buying that the main character was not very affected by everything that happened to her family and to her. It’s neat and tidy and would make a nice Hallmark or Lifetime movie. As you can tell from other reviews, it works for a lot of people.
I just finished this book and I’m in tears. I love the overall theme of healing ancestral trauma mixed with communicating with past loved ones and time travel! You can tell the author’s raw emotion and passion when it came to writing this. I recommend reading this book to anyone on their healing journey!
Thanks to Goodreads for the opportunity to get this book. I had no idea that one could touch on so many difficult subjects in such a kind way. Although, I'm still not sure why some parts of the history needed to be shared to get the point across, it was a very unique way to do it. I can see lots of triggers for some, but also somewhat free therapy sessions. Easy and quick read.
I made it not quite halfway in this book and decided I will not be able to finish it. This book seems to jump from one scene to another with no scene break and it has my mind going crazy and finding it hard to keep up with what is actually going on. The storyline is cute and could possibly be a great read, just not for me.
I found this book interesting to read. The author had an interesting take on how the different generations connected to each other. It was sad all the issues the different generations had to deal with but showed how it does affect all the different generations. It such a shame what some people have to deal with throughout their lives. Thanks for the free book.
Thank you to Goodreads for the opportunity to read/review this book, I was so looking forward to it from the description! So far, it looks like I'm the only one who didn't absolutely love it, I was just let down by the writing and dialogue. The dialogue kept me so distanced from the characters and story, it just wasn't written in a way people actually speak and the characters fell flat. I wanted to care about them more than I did. I love the premise of this story, I just wish it had been told differently.
