About the author

Dr. Howey was born in 1975 and grew up on a family farm in Northumberland, England. While daydreaming on the farm he developed an interest in drawing and all things creative. In 2000 he obtained a PhD in mathematics and later worked in various scientific fields. Married with two daughters, he wrote the Mimi books over a period of 5 years while living in Scotland. The stories are inspired by his daughters' jolly japes and his love of writing and illustrating fun stories that everyone can enjoy.
