In Wild Cherry by K'wan, Gina is married to a man who more than takes good care of her, but her life of luxury comes with a price that she’s not sure she can pay anymore. Princess’ man doesn’t see her as any more than dollar signs—as long as she keeps using her body to bring in the stacks. When Gina and Princess meet and realize that they share a common problem, they sent into motion an unforgettable plot that will solve all their problems…
In 2002 K'wan hit the scene with his debut novel Gangsta, under Triple Crown Publications. It was the first novel released by the budding house and would eventually become the building block for what is now a multimillion dollar company. What started as a therapeutic release went on to become a part of urban-lit history and an Essence bestseller, as well as drawing rave reviews overseas. After penning his second novel, Road Dawgz (2003), K'wan drew the attention of St. Martins press. The literary powerhouse quickly signed K'wan to a multi-book deal, the first of which being Street Dreams (2004). In 2008 he received the Black Author of the year award from Black Press Radio for the novella Blow. Since his insertion into the publishing world K'wan has been featured in Vibe, Pages, King, Felon, Big News, The Library Journal, Entertainment Weekly, The New York Press, Clutch and most notably Time Magazine, to name a few. He was also interviewed by MTV News for a feature on Hip-Hop fiction, and a guest on Power 105s morning show as well as NPR (national public radio). In addition to being an accomplished author, K'wan is also a motivational speaker, mentor to at risk children and the C.E.O of Black Dawn, Inc. K'wan currently resides in New Jersey where he is working on his next novel.

My Thoughts....
Wow, what a dysfunctional couple, with friends and a brother...all making this one heck of a good short read. What will happen when two childhood friends get tired of their abusive men? The author really keep the readers attention and keep you turning the pages with all of the twist and unexpected turns that this novel gives the reader. The novel had a interesting storyline and then that ending was off the chain ...good and unexpected shocking ending. I loved that this author was able to give the reader a good read all in one read. Thank you, thank you...thank you!
It's a must read....... You never know a person really , That's why the only person you can trust in the person looking back at you in the mirror .......
The reason that I rated the way that I did was because, for a short story (I finished in one day), it had everything a good book should, down to the surprise ending. Yes, it starts off as the typical urban fiction, and don't get it twisted, I LOVE urban fiction, but this book has it all in ONE book! There's no sequel to wait for..... it begins and ends all in one book! FANTASTIC! BUY IT!
i didnt like it . It was to short for one . second the ending was horrible. Ok i get the men were abusive so they had to get rid of them , but the brother an Gina'S husband caught me off guard completely .
This was a good read to be a short story. I'm never disappointed when it come to Kwan books. I enjoyed it from beginning to the end leaving me with a Wow hot Damn!!
Gina and Princess are childhood friends that are both involved with abusive men. They concoct a scheme to get rid of their men, but end up being the ones surprised! Once again, K'wan has done it!!!
