[Siren Menage Erotic Paranormal Menage a Trois Romance, M/F/M, shape-shifters, light consensual BDSM, spanking, flogging, sex toys, HEA] Leopard shifter Saffron Estampado flees her village to escape an unwanted mating with two brothers who are involved in the same evil society as her uncle, and is captured in the woods by cougar shifters Landon Sterling and Nevada Ruiz when they believe she was sent to kill them. But the same people chasing her are after rare black cougars like Landon and Nevada, and she works hard to convince them of that. As the men realize they are both in as much danger as Saffron, they also realize they are each falling for her. Saffron recognizes Landon and Nevada as her mates, but when the brothers to whom she was being forced to mate frame her for her uncle's murder, her budding romance with both men is put on hold while all three enlist the help of jaguars to fight the threatening evil and clear Saffron's name. ** A Siren Erotic Romance
Thoroughly enjoyed Tara's first shifter book. She put an interesting spin on the whole shifter legend, and I'm looking forward to the next one in the series.
I have a rule about series books, I absolutely must read them in order, even spin-offs. I hate feeling I am missing something, I also loathe the idea of spoilers on books I have not read yet. This book is the first in a spin-off from the Passion Peak series. There are numerous references to the Passion Peak town and residents, I kind of felt like the girl at the party stuck talking to friends of a friend, you listen to the conversation and have only a vague clue what they are talking about.
I really liked Saffron, even though she was far more clueless and helpless than I generally like. I was really intrigued by her story and wanted to know more. Most of the story comes from her POV, it really makes you appreciate her situation.
Landon and Nevada are great guys, even with the whole holding her prisoner thing. I was a touch stumped as top why they were not privy to the whole mate thing, they were more in touch with their powers after-all.
I liked the mates and instant lust angle, that is one of my favorite things in shifter romances. There is plenty of smexy play, wicked bedroom action!! Oh yeessss, an uber hawt shower scene!! I might need a shower myself, a cold one! The BDSM is more light play, nothing too heavy or protocols. It feels a touch BDSM 101 at times, but that is typical when one of the characters is a total newbie.
I really enjoyed the overall story but somehow it felt disconnected. The pacing did not always work for me, I felt a drag at some points. I would have liked seeing more of the relationship between the three, it fast forwarded a few times.
I am definitely interested in seeing where the series is headed, I can never resist after a taste! I may need to jump over and read the Passion Peak books to get what I missed. I enjoyed Ms Rose's style, she is going on my watch list!!
"Captured By Two Alphas" by Tara Rose was the very first shifter book I've ever read. Why in Heaven's name didn't someone tell me that they were AWESOME?! I feel like I've missed out on a lot, and now, I'll have to start catching up.
This is the beginning of a shifter series, and it's started out with a bang! I don't want to give away any spoilers, but I will tell you that Saffron, the leopard shifter, has run from her village and comes upon a cougar shifter one. There, she meets Landon and Nevada, and WHEW! The chemistry is instantaneous! That's all you're getting from me. You have to read this one for yourselves.
As always, Tara gives us a well written, clever story that's not just filler between sex scenes (but the sex scenes are just AWESOME). We're introduced to other characters who will, do doubt, be the at the center of future books in the series. They're all interesting in their own ways, and you'll be caught up in their lives in no time. I didn't want to put this book down, and I admit to staying up WAY past my bedtime to finish it. Of course, I started another Tara book right after, but that's for another review at another time.
So, to sum this all up...if you love big cats, handsome men, hot menage sex, and a good mystery, this is the book for you. You'll definitely want to get in on the ground level of the "Alpha Legend" series. Tara has never disappointed me, and with this book, she's given me a new reason to love her books!
The title of this book just made me want to read this book. The cover also helped it some.
Leopard shifter Saffron Estampado runs away from her pack because her uncle wants her to marry two brothers that are just as evil as he is. She doesn't like what they are doing and she can't stop them.
Landon Sterling and Nevada Ruiz are cougar shifters and when they run into Saffron they believe that she has been sent to kill them. The more they work together the more they start trusting each other. They realize that they are all running from the same people.
I couldn't seem to put this book down and after I read this one I want to read more. The characters were well matched and the story just kept me in a steady stream. I also didn't see what would happen next. I can't believe that she gets framed for killing her uncle. So when you read this book keep your mind open and just go along with the story.
I have read several books by this author and I love each and everyone that I read. Here's me going off to find another one.
Saffron is on the run because she refuses to mate two men that aren’t her fated mates. They’re bad men who are involved in an evil society. While running she spots the hottest human she’s ever met and the events that unfold from that moment are an interesting story that definitely kept me reading.
At times some of the shifter stuff was a bit confusing or I felt like a lot was repeated which I took as building up the legends and the series. I felt that the characters were well fleshed out and it was believable that Saffron’s grandmother would shield her from so much of her Uncle’s evil deeds.
I really enjoyed the twist of Saffron being framed for murder and the way that it tested the relationship between Landon, Nevada and Saffron. It gave the story that dose of reality since until then they had been living in a cocoon of mated bliss.
I really like this story and will be reading more in the series.
I don't think there is any snow in Colorado this year. This story is too hot for any to still cap Sleepy Cat mountain. These are 3 very distinct characters, all strong in their own ways. While I could see Saffron with either of these men, the 3 of them together creates a perfect union. As the first book in a new series, the storyline provides the backdrop of the strife that will provide the conflict for the rest of the series. This woven into the book, allowing the reader to catch up to speed along with Saffron as she learns what her grandmother has protected her from. Their journey starts in isolated cabin, but shows a journey into a paranormal world that is bigger than the 3 of them. Can't wait to read more of this series.
My Review: The first book in the Alpha Legend series is an intriguing, erotic shapeshifter with some refreshingly unique elements. The author has created an intriguing shifter world with unique elements that gives the reader a different perspective. She maintained a great balance of romance, sex and suspense throughout the story and even has a few surprises for the reader during the journey.
***Note: This is the first book in this series, but it continues from the Passion Peak series. You do not have to read the others to enjoy this story. ***
This is a change in the storyline of Shifters & mates. I enjoyed Saffron's story & how she met Nevada & Landon. It dabbles in BDSM, but they are not really Dom's. It's okay tho because they're in love, it's not about the lifestyle.
This is the first Shifter book I've read by Tara Rose. I have to admit its great. I like how it brings in characters you've met in a previous series. In this book you meet Nevada, Saffron and Landon. You meet Saffron running from danger and running into Nevada and Landon who think she Is out to Kill them. Can things get any more confusing for these three. I love how they were able to figure out what was really going on and come together.
I quite enjoyed this book was a great little read,This is the first i have read by this author and im looking forward to reading the rest of the series. Its a hot little shifter read
What do you like? The story had good flow; the introduction of new characters was smooth. This book wrap upped some of the characters from the previous series. There was some nice foreshadowing hinting at the next ménage.
What do you not like? I felt that I really missed a lot since I haven't read all the books from the former series. This book felt more like a suspense book with a romantic relationship as a side story, rather than a romance with suspense. While the book did seem to focus on the suspense most of the actual suspense takes place off screen. There was a lot of doubt and cynicism in the characters. Despite their abilities to read each other they didn't trust and believe in each other. I was also not comfortable with the interrogation room scene, it was just too over the top for me.
Recommend it to a friend? If you have been keeping up with the series and the spinoffs, this would be a good read to have. You can also read it as the beginning of a new series but there might be some nuances that you don't understand. Overall, it was a good read.
