I've been told I have a wicked sense of humor and a twisted sense of reality. Of course, I have no idea what these people are talking about.

I try to write stories about women who are in transition. I would like to one day write a thriller or a horror story. For now, I am working on The Way Back To Me book series, a historical romance and a tween book.

My greatest joy is being a mom and a wife. I love being surrounded by close friends and my family. They keep me focused on what is important.

Just as well you aren’t physically sitting next to me, because I can guarantee you that I’d talk your ears off about this book. You wouldn’t even have to read ‘The Way Back To Me’! But that would be so sad, as I couldn’t do it justice. You would most definitely have to read it yourself. Oh yes. What a book! Seriously, the first page had me hooked, f-bombs and all! As I continued reading, I was excited to a point where I honestly thought that having to make supper in the evenings was pure torture, as I’d then have to put this book down. Life intervenes as it does, so I read whenever and wherever I could. Trust me. As I’m not one to specifically go out and buy books that are tagged as ‘erotica’, I’m quite surprised I’ve now read a few along these lines. I do think though that there is a difference between books purely intended to be erotic, and books that encompass eroticism. I classify this one in the latter. It’s a kind of self re-invention with sisterly help to begin with, and one that involves not only Lexi’s physical appearance but one that has her doing a complete mind-shift.

Thirty-nine-year old, gracefully ageing, Lexi Reynolds is in a rut. She’s not happy with anything about her life (except her three adorable children), her divorce (the cold blooded murder of her marriage), to her non-existent sex life and much like most of us in the thirty-five to over forty age bracket – her appearance – feeling (we believe) frumpy, is not pleasant. Urgh! And here she’d teased her mom about her ‘turkey’ neck. As Lexi says: “I guess Karma really is a bitch”. It will come back and haunt you. Lexi is preparing to go spend a week with her equally hilarious sister, Layla. She loves her sister to bits. Layla practically raised her. However, Lexi also hates her (I don’t believe it’s hate, but more of a frustration) because Layla is always trying to fix Lexi or her life. Infuriating. Prior to leaving she speaks to Layla on the phone where she’s told in a no-nonsense manner that there are a couple of books Lexi must read on her flight. Did Layla really say they were sweet? From what I gather, this alludes to particular BDSM books everyone talked about last year… I’m sure you all know which I mean. Anyway. Lexi drops the kids off at her ex, Benjamin. The reason for their divorce is that he took up with someone way, way younger which always seems to be the case. She meets an oldish lady, Mildred Cameron, on her flight who chats the whole way. She’s apparently returning to Dallas from visiting her son. This lady will eventually play a big part in Lexi’s life.

After arriving and being shocked practically out of her skin at the way her sister is dressed, the week that follows is nothing short of hilarious and well, hot. Lexi is put on a diet by the ever bossy Layla, has to start running once again and meets two men who become important in her life. I’ll interject here because there is one scene when they are running that OMW had me gagging and laughing hysterically at the same time! Really? A scooch moment? I’d never even heard of this term, but it’s now permanently ingrained in my brain. I won’t elaborate, you’re on your own with this one, suffice it to say I’m laughing all over again. I have previously mentioned that I am the proud owner of a warped sense of humour. Back to the two men. The first one she meets was quite lovely or so I thought, but he then eventually gave me a cramp. Yeah, he too has issues but seriously, commitment phobics just grate on my nerves. So, I’ll mention the second one, Sebastian, because I really, really liked him even though sometimes he came across as too forceful, but hey I’m sure you’ve guessed by now what he’s really into. Mind you, it’s nothing like those previous books I mentioned, so don’t even go thinking that it’s all whips/chains/feathers and whatever else BDSM entails. He’s a plastic surgeon, and quite honestly as far as I’m concerned and although he makes no bones about ever committing and having children, deep down he’s so completely the opposite. Sigh. Lexi at first is torn between the two, but eventually realises that with Patrick Dane (a former sport star), there is no future. With Sebastian, it seems pretty much the same until Lexi is involved in a horrific accident. Sebastian who protested too much about ‘relationships’ and ‘kids’, proved exactly what he’s made of. Again, sigh. Beyond wonderful.

Although this book, which is meant for adults, had loads of swearing and sex (it has its place and it works!), it is by no means the be-all and end-all of what it’s about. It’s about friendships, sisters, a sense of family, loss, accomplishment, coming to terms with hurt and of course, love. I always believe that good things not only come to those who wait, but to those who deserve it. Lexi (I just love her) deserved it. Layla? Oh my word – I love her too. These two girls remind me so much of my sister and I (not that we get up to more than half the things these two manage to conjure!).

I loved this book. It made my days that much more cheerful, put a spring in my step and ‘The Way Back To Me’ had me smiling more than usual. I see now that the chemistry between these two really awesome authors (sisters) when they write, is superb. They did a phenomenal job with their debut. Regardless of what may come your way ladies, know that you have satisfied one very happy reader.

There is going to be a sequel, which will be Layla’s book and I simply cannot wait to read it. If it’s anything to go by after reading what she’s putting Eric and herself through on this one, it’s going to be so good! It’s fair to say I’m a fan. Ms. Conlon and Ms. Waesch, could you please hurry up? Thank you.

Get out of your comfort zone, kick back, pour yourself something decadent and read this book. You won’t regret it. Before I forget, I must mention that as far as I'm concerned I loved this book over all three FSOG's put together. Not only is it more entertaining, but it's better written. I’ve given this book 4 ½ stars, and the other ½ I kept for personal reasons. However, 'The Way Back To Me' has now become my second favourite book for 2013! Fabulosity.

I had to add this moment between Layla and Lexi, when Layla hands her a gift. Beautiful.
“Why”
“Because you need to be reminded of who you are and how I see you. I used to be so jealous of you. You used to be so carefree and exuded confidence. Did you date losers? Sure you did. But you always picked yourself up, dusted yourself off and never gave up on believing in yourself or your dreams. I won’t say that I settled for Eric, but I don’t deny wondering what I missed out on because I got hooked up with him so early in my 20’s. But you always got out there looking, never settling. I love you, but I want my sister back. I think your girls deserve to see who she is, don’t you?” –Layla to Lexi

Really brilliant read.

Lexi Reynolds is a 39 year old, newly divorced, single mum. After finding out her husband and father to her three gorgeous girls had been cheating on her she gave up. She no longer cared how she looked and dating was more than out of the question, all she wanted to be was the best mum she could be to her children. Spring break approaches and Lexi is off to her sister Layla's..
"Consider yourself a resident of the Karsten Family Fat Farm and Rehabilitation Center."

Layla being the great sister that she is, takes one look at Lexi and decides she just won't do. She takes it upon herself I give Lexi a new lease of life. Starting with giving her a 'certain book' that every body will recognise, she instructs her to read all three, see what she thinks and report back. As is the case with everybody, Lexi is excited.. she agree's to Layla's crazy plans of a make over. Starting with her weight and diet, right through to her hair and clothing. Last of all, Layla has one more request for her sister..
"First I need you to have a one night. Second, I want you to have sex in an elevator, coat room or bathroom. Lastly, I want you to fuck a public servant."

The Way Back To Me gifts us with not one, but two gorgeous candidates for Lexis quest. First up we meet Patrick Dane - a retired Dallas Mavericks player. He's hot, he's considerate of her needs and he instantly helps her scratch off her list one by one. He's perfect right? Of course not.. He's hiding his own little secret.
"His smug ass smile just makes me want to suck it off his face. I misspoke there. I meant to say smack it off his face."

Next one who thinks he is up for the challenge is the sexy plastic surgeon Dr Sebastian Cameron. Holy freaking hell he was hot. He is also recently divorced and not looking for anything serious, instead he is setting his sights on a new submissive. In her new lease of life, how can Lexi possibly refuse? Their first meeting is one of my favourite scenes, a misunderstanding causes Lexi to be at Sebastian's surgery as a patient, not quite the business meeting she had in mind..
"I probably should have gone with the gown just so I can have an excuse to feel his hands on my breasts."

The book had a great ending that really tied everything up perfectly. Lexi's a new woman, she's got a new man and she's finally ready to live her life for her and her children. She may have a man now but she won't make the mistake of losing herself to keep him.
"I'm different. I feel like I'm finally who I'm supposed to be."

I really enjoyed myself whilst reading this book. I wasn't sure what to expect and it was such a pleasant surprise! I was in tears Laughjng so offer throughout, I can't even see the phrase 'Scooch Moment' without cracking up now!

I say if you want something a little light, a lot funny and very sext in between the heavy stuff this is perfect for you.

Wow, I loved this book right from the beginning. Lexi is amazing - newly divorced at 39, with three girls 10 and under. She had put her dream on hold for her husband, and he ends up cheating on her with someone half his age.  She's still reeling, but her sister Layla is not standing for it.  While her kids are spending spring break with her ex - Lexi is heading to Texas to visit her sister.

Layla and Lexi together are priceless - they are best friends and loyal to the bone to each other.  Layla is ready for Lexi's visit with a plan to get Lexi back in the game - a fitness regime, a diet, a new haircut, and a new spicy book series for Lexi to read. Seriously, when these two are together - they are definitely trouble!

Lexi's trip to Texas turns in to more than she could ever have imagined, with the new people she meets on her way there, and while she's there. Her life starts to change in ways that she could have never imagined.  As she returns to Kansas, the changes and people she's met since her trip - alter her life - and make things a lot more interesting and challenging for her to say the least.

I don't want to give to much away about the story - there were so many moments in this book that I just had to laugh or smile - between the cute things her daughter said, the crazy things her sister said or did, the confrontations she faced, and the hot things the men said and did. Lets just say, I could not put this book down until it was finished!  Lexi might have been cheated on - but she was not defeated - she picked herself up, and found herself again.  This book totally had me guessing until the very end as to how it would finish - and I was not disappointed with the ending at all!!

These are a few things that rang through my head while reading this book:

Wow!

I think I just peed in my pants.

Did that just happen?

Did she really say that?

Did he really say that?

Why doesn't someone slap him? ( and there are several hims)

Don't be a douche- please. Too Late

Okay- ready to tell you about this book. I loved this book there are only a few minor complaints, but they will come later.

In the very beginning of this book you are introduced to a 30-something divorcee (Lexi)who has lost all self confidence and personal drive. She has been cheated on by her husband- who by the way had an affair with his personal trainer-and she has no career because she gave it up to be a mother and wife. You instantly learn that her sister is not going to let this go on because she has formed her own form of "rehabilitate Lexi" plan. This is where it gets GOOD!!

There were parts of this book that had me laughing out loud with tears in my eyes. (Anyone want to go jogging with Lexi & Layla?) Then there was raw emotion of finding yourself in a situation where Lexi has to accept that her perfect planned life has changed and never will be the same.

Layla is such a main character- I don't even consider her secondary. She is righteous! We are introduced to 2 very sexy men that help lead Lexi on this path of discovery and understanding about her internal make-up and what she needs to be happy now. Both Patrick and Sebastian- albeit assholes- have an intricate part of helping Lexi. They both introduce her to side of herself she never knew existed. I will tell you now, I hated both men in this book in many ways. I don't like "loose ends" and "controlling values" but they rocked it! In the end it is almost like a flip-flop of which guy you are pulling for.

Throughout her journey to discover what changes are in store for her and you root for her to come out on top because she is JUST THAT AWESOME!

Okay, now here is what I have a problem with- I felt like the end just hit-BAM!!!! I needed a little more from the confessions. And I needed clarification on Benjamin's feelings for Gracie. She's a twit!

I needed to know where Lexi's head is at and what Patrick and Sebastian are thinking.

I am a girl that wants closure...... I understand we can expect a second book this spring. So please hurry up!

Loved it!!

A fantastic book with terrific characters that will definitely have you laughing, cheering, and even cringing with embarrassment at some of the predicaments Lexie finds herself in. Her relationship with her sister, Layla, is loving though crazy at times. I couldn't believe what took place at the local swimming pool. Does shit like this really happen? As Layla tortures Lexie through diet and exercise, Lexie's life is moving in a positive direction. Not only does she land a terrific new job, she meets not one but two sexy, hot, gorgeous men who both make Lexie's toes curl more often than she can count. Who will she end up with? Dane the basketball player, Sebastian the plastic surgeon, or Benjamin, her ex-husband? You'll have to read this novel to find out.

So if you're interested in reading something that'll give you a few laughs and turn you on with all the sensual erotic sex that takes place, I highly suggest you give "The Way Back to Me" a chance. I personally cannot wait to read more works of this author.

Let me just start off by saying I had high hopes for this book. Unfortunately, they weren't met. What I first noticed was the fact that the author used exclamation points. A lot. I got the feeling that the author thought it would be the best way to show emotion, but it just took away the appeal for me. There would be two to five exclamation points when the main character had some strong emotion and I really didn't like that.
Another thing that bugged me was the fact that Lexi supposedly loses a lot of weight in one week. This is very unhealthy and very improbable. This is a big thing for me because I used to be overweight and the premise of having such a transformation in just one week really makes me mad.
Lexi is the mother of three children and has recently been divorced from her husband. You'd think she's a mature woman, right? Not really. I felt like she complained too much and that she acted immature most of the time. I mean, just in the beginning of the book, she complains about her children using up all the hot water. That would be fine, if she didn't start cursing at her children in her mind. I'm sorry, I found that like it was too much anger for something that she claims to happen a lot. Lexi swears a lot -- and most of the time it's when she's overreacting.
Her eldest child, Sasha, is ten years old. When we first meet her, she says that she made waffles for the family. I felt that a ten-year-old making waffles without any supervision was a bad idea, which I felt took away from the story.
Lexi's sister, Layla, is another character that I did not like. She's someone who, after reading a bunch of erotic romance novels, changed her whole appearance from mature adult to slut. And then she yells at her sister for calling her a slut when Lexi didn't recognize her. She also feels like she can just tell her sister what to do. I understand, Lexi was in a slump and needed to be brought out of it, but it did not need to be done in such a controlling way.
And then there's the "Scooch" moment. Layla is putting Lexi through an intense work-out routine, and when they're running for the first time, Lexi poops herself in her pants. I've heard that happen to people who have no ability to control themselves (bathroom-wise) but when doing exercise? I found this thoroughly disgusting and was the moment when I just wanted to stop reading.
The last thing that I did not like about this book is the fact that she ended up with what I think is the wrong guy. Sebastian—a big jerk who bosses her around when they're deciding when they're going to meet—is who she ends up with. He also says that he hates the fact that Lexi has kids and is just an ass. Then he magically falls in love with her kids and becomes a semi-caring person. When Lexi chose Sebastian over Dane, a guy who actually cared about her and was really nice, I really wanted to slap Lexi upside the head.
In the end, I feel like this book tried too hard to be erotic romance and 'realistic' and ended up falling short.

A sassy, snarky book about a woman rediscovering and reinventing herself.

Lexi is a divorced mother of three just going through the motions of life. She goes to visit her sister Layla and is coerced into a beauty boot camp of sorts. Her sister makes her exercise, have a make over, and read a very popular erotic book trilogy series.

"I thought the books were good. Very sexual. I like how over the course of the second book, you can see the female lead changing from timid to more confident. It was pretty inspiring, yet I have a hard time believing they had sex that often."

Lexi and Layla are typical sisters with a love hate relationship at times and play off each other well. Layla wants her newly single sister Lexi to go on a series of sexcapades so she can live vicariously through her.

"First I need you to have a one night stand where you leave him before he is ready for you to leave. Second, I want you to have sex in an elevator, coat room, or bathroom. You know somewhere like a public place. Lastly, I want you to f*ck a public servant. I prefer a fireman, but will settle for a cop."

Lexi finds new confidence, a new outlook, and new opportunities for career and sex. Much to her surprise, she ends up juggling 3 different men. She definitely starts to explore new things and the book has some hot sexy scenes. The men were interesting and hot, but then they would say things or act ways that would turn me off. I had a hard time choosing one of them that I really hoped she would end up with because at one point, they all disappointed me. But I suppose I can live with the one that ended up the front-runner.

This book was funny, Lexi became feisty, and Layla was hilarious, especially some of the scenes where she tries to lure her husband into BDSM. I liked the fact that Lexi was able to figure out how to stand up for herself and go for things she wanted. I enjoyed many parts of this book, but near the end I found myself frustrated somewhat. I think the men disappointing me was a major factor in that. But I guess this was really supposed to be more about Lexi's journey anyway. It is a book about a woman being empowered and finding new ways to make herself happy while remembering what is really important.

"I'm different. I feel like I'm finally who I'm supposed to be."

But Lexi's journey is still not completely over and a sequel is planned.

OMG this book had the most hilarious moments! I was laughing so
hard I was crying!!
My husband thinks I am officially crazy now.
Lexi Reynolds is 39 years old and she is getting some Hot Steamy Raunchy Sex with some Smoking Hot Men!!!! It's an awesome story about a women who gives up everything for her family just to have it taken from her by a cheating husband. Well that wasn't the awesome part the awesome part is her finding her inner slut! After all the laughing and sweating from the Hot sex I started to get worried that Lexi's world was going to come crashing
down and it did in a way but you have to read it to
find if it all works out for her.
Great ending.

Quotes:

"Really? Why are they called "laugh lines?" I seriously doubt that I was laughing that much."

"If I am going to help you out here, I am going to have a request that you close your legs. I don't need to see your whispering eye staring at me. It makes me slightly uncomfortable."

"Oh Shit, I think you can braid my leg hair."

"His voice alone has evoked my pussy into becoming very moist."

"Sebastian almost died here today! No on grabs my damn phone from my hand and lives to tell about it."

The Way Back to Me was such a fun book to read! The main character, Lexi, is a woman that we could all relate to. She is 39, a recent divorcee with three young girls, and has low self-esteem. I absolutely loved this line from her,
"Instead of looking like a gracefully aging Lexi Reynolds, I look like the before picture of a plastic surgery advertisement."

This began to change when she traveled from her home in Kansas to spend a week with her older sister, Layla in Dallas. Their relationship is downright hilarious and the F-bombs dropped can't be counted. They fight, both physically and verbally, but they have each other's back until the end. Layla speaks to Lexi with no filter as she tells her it is time for her to get out of her funk, get her act together, and begin to exercise and eat properly. The week in Dallas ends up becoming life-altering for Lexi.

The Way Back to Me is essentially about a woman on a journey to find herself. It has a perfect mix of humor, serious dialogue, and SEX!!! Yes, this book is definitely full of erotica but it does not overshadow and/or dominate the main storyline!

This book is a bit of a car crash of genres. It is a bit of chick lit with its first person funny but is also women's fiction because the lead character is not in her 20's and has kids and recovering from a divorce and there is more than one man/one relationship here. Then, we have the Romance though it is more of a Happy for Now ending and last erotic romance with the insta sex and BDSM.

Some times all of this works it the book and sometimes it is a mess. I am not a huge fan of having one love interest in one part of the book and another in the second half. I would liked the book much more if we started right after the ending of her first post divorce relationship and spent much more time with the good doctor. I would have especially have liked to see the couple working through an actual relationship and then getting a big fat happy HEA.

All the characters would have been much more developed this way and I would have been much more connected.

So some good funny moments here. I might try this writer again but if I get more women's fiction then not so much for me.

What a fun book! This book is perfect as a light, funny read when you need a change of pace after a heavy, angsty one.

Lexi is 39, a stay at home mom to three kids and recently divorced from her dream man-who cheated on her. She is stuck in a rut, dealing with her ex having a 25 year old girlfriend, carrying a few extra pounds and not finding the energy to dress in anything but sweats. Her sister finally has enough of her moping and giving up on a life and stages an intervention. What follows is much hilarity and some hot guys as Lexi starts a new path in life.

Besides being fun, funny and relatable another great plus to this book is that there is no cliffhanger! Lexi figures out how to get on with her life, how to still be a good mom to her kids and finds new love (and great sex!) Things are wrapped up just enough to be satisfying but left open enough to look forward to another book on how Lexi, her kids and her new guy work things out.

This was recommended by a friend and I loved it. The character Lexi is a single mum who's still getting over her divorce. She is about to head off for her first spring break without her girls since the divorce leaving the kid's with their dad.
Layla her older sister kicks her ass, to get her out of her funk. I loved the relationship with her sister, the way they talk to and deal with each other is awesome.
In the beginning I really liked her connection with Dane but in the end he turned into a bit of an ass. Sebastian is a bit of a dick in the beginning but so liked him at the end.
The scooch moment in the book is hilarious and I was laughing out loud at it. You'll have to read to understand.
My only complain so me was the way it ended, just seemed a bit abrupt that's why I marked it down but over all great read.

I actually loved this book. The author had me hooked by the first page and I was reading it until 4 in the morning. Its a little crazy when you need to get the kids to school at 7:30. Anyway, if you want to laugh, love, go OMG throughout the book...read it. If you have a sister, if you are a mother, and in your late 30's to early 40's, ITS A MUST READ. You will relate and laugh throughout the book.

Too bad this book was so short, I didn´t want this one to end...
I was laughing throughout the whole book.
Sympathetic characters you want to have as friends in your own life!
I will look out for more books from this author.

...I admit, it needs some editing :(

My Rant:

The Way Back to Me Way was such a good book. It was such an erotic and funny story. Lexi is trying to hold herself together for the sake of her three daughters after her marriage with Benjamin turned in to a disastrous divorce due to her personal trainer and home wrecker Gracie. Yes I said it, home wrecker Gracie. But what infuriated me was when that witch, Gracie needed Lexis help. After destroying Lexi home this jezebel needed her help. Lexi was way better than me because I tell you, I would have given Gracie the smack down of her life and would not had thought twice about it. (Giggles). Trust me I am not a violent person. But when someone wrecks your home like Gracie did Lexi’s you can believe that you would just go bat sh**t crazy.

Lexi’s sister Layla thought it would be a great idea to have Lexi visit her for a while so that she can help Lexi find herself through dieting, working out and having hot erotic sex with strangers. The hilarious thing about Layla’s plan was that Layla had her own issues in the bedroom with her husband Eric and here she is giving advise to Lexi.. Layla is set out to explore sexual adventures with her husband and it turns out that things are quite not working out as she planned it too.

“ Lexi go help your sister free herself, love Eric. What the F**k, I haul a$$ to Layla room and brace myself. I am almost scared to open the door. Very slowly, I turn the handle and push the door open.

Oh Lexi thank goodness you’re here!!! Please Please Please help me.”

Freaking hilarious….. OMG I laugh so hard at this scene in the book. Saying to myself Who does this sh**t? LMAO.

Frustrated at her own dilemmas Layla forces Lexi to live out her sexual fantasy bucket list. When Lexi and Layla get together its like poring gasoline on a campfire. But there wild and crazy adventures would not be as fun and witty without the sexy Dane, Eric Sebastian and Eric. But my favorite male characters in the book are Dane and Sebastian. They were completely hot. I mean OMG Dane, the ex athlete, he just oozed with sex appeal and when you thought that he would be the leading man on the scene the author switched it up. It turns out that Sebastian is all that and a bag of chips, literally. Sebastian was completely smart, sexy and a Dom with attitude. What a great combination. When he came into the picture I know I had to be drooling because his character was so hot your body melted at his description. The author gave you entrancing details about both men so you could just picture how sexy they were and the fun part of the book was that you could live vicariously through Lexi while reading, no strings attached Lol.

As the book goes on you begin the see Lexi find herself and the confidence she needs to face her trials and tribulations. She begins to live life to the fullest but focusing on the bigger picture, her children. Re-learning whom she was and what she was capable of allowed her to pick up the pieces and turn a bad situation into a great one.

My Recommendation:

Overall a rated this book 4 out of 5 purple rant hearts. It was erotic and funny. I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a steamy contemporary romance with a pop of comedy.

Flounced at 33%. Wish it had been sooner.

This review is also posted on Pretty Sassy Cool.

This book was a huge DNF for me. Here are the first three sentences:
Oh. My. God. This water is fucking freezing!! Seriously, not one drop of hot water during my fucking shower and no fucking towels! How hard is it for my beautiful offspring to remember that they do not live in a DAMN hotel?

I thought to myself that perhaps this person really needed to use all of the exclamation points. I thought maybe it was actually for, you know, really strong emphasis.

Turns out, no--that's not the reason. The reason is that this book contains absolutely terrible writing. For full disclosure, I officially flounced at 33%, so things might have changed significantly, but in the first third of the book, almost every sentence began with "I". The words sounded like they were coming from a thirteen year old. The lemon...well, what has been seen cannot be unseen.

Here's a little taste (ewwww because pun intended):
All of a sudden, I am brought back to reality. I do not want him to eat me out. Seriously, we just did 'it'. I can't wrap my brain around this. Benjamin always wanted me washed before he would do this to me. I have been conditioned that this is gross. I try to get him to stop. I beg him to stop. My begging makes it worse. He rips my panties in two and spreads my legs apart. I am so embarrassed, but at the same time; so turned on. I give up and get lost in the sensation of his tongue circling my clitoris. He licks it and sucks it and licks it and sucks it until I can't take it anymore. He places his giant hands on my my thighs holding me in place. He suctions his mouth on my clit. Sucking and then softly biting it with his teeth. "AAAAAAHHHHH! FUCK!" I yell out as I come wildly. No one has ever performed a more gratifying display of cunnilingus than Patrick Dane. Every other sexual partner I had up until now lapped me like a dog laps water. This guy could eat me out all day if he wanted! He is the Pussy King!!

Sometimes, people just can't write good smut. So, I thought I would read a little bit further to see if the story could be salvaged. I already knew it couldn't, but I wanted to be thorough. I hate flouncing books. Then I came to this:
Thank God, he had the foresight to put on a condom. In my lust, I didn't even see him do it nor did I think about it.

Yeah, no. This woman is an adult. With kids. Who just "jumped back on the horse" so to speak. I could not read another word after that, and honestly, I wish I had stopped a lot sooner. Like with the first sentence. Hopefully you won't make the same mistake I did, and you won't read any of this "book".

*This book is for 18 and older and not for the faint of heart.

I was pleasently surprised by this book and glad that I had the opprotunity to read it. The first 3 sentences caught my interest because it sounded like something I would say. "This water is f...ing freezing!! Seriously, not one drop of hot water during my f...ing shower and no f...ing towels! ..." It's what I would write in my diary because my hot water goes out all the time. Needless to say that I was hooked from the first page! Lexi & Layla are sisters and the dialogue between them is perfect.

Lexi is recently divorced and mother of 3 girls. Lexi's pain and confusion about her ex relationship has really messed up her life. She has given up and at 39 Lexi doesn't have much to live for except her kids. Layla has decided to jump start Lexi's life by any means necessary. This includes Lexi's slut side.

Layla decided to get Lexi back in shape. At the beginning of "Karsten Family Fat Farm and Rehabilitation Center" I was laughing my ass off! Two different scenes - Layla's all tied up and Lexi's "Scooch Moment"... You will be laughing too. :) I can't think of "Scooch Moment" without snickering. Then Layla has some books and a few experiments for Lexi to do. These experiments are on Layla's bucket list but she can't do them so she can only experience them through her sister. I want a sister like this. Layla's the bomb!

We get to meet two unbelievable guys.

The first guy is Patick Dane. Dane is hot! He knows how to please and ready to help scratch each item off the bucket list. Dane's like a big yummy package all rolled up into one but he has one flaw. Can this work out? Is Dane the one for Lexi?

The second guy is Sebastian Cameron. Sebastian is Dr. Sexy! He is recently divorced and only wants a submissive. Sebastian wants complete trust, he's very selfish, and does not want kids. This all seems perfect with Lexi's new lease on life. After the best sex ever, misunderstandings, and unexpected feelings - I was not sure how I felt about this guy for Lexi even if it's just for fun.

These two guys are very different from each other and I really enjoyed the contrast between these two characters and how they play on Lexi's emotions.

I loved the ending. New Lexi, new lease on life, new man, even a new job but it has several surprising twist and turns to get here that I loved.

If you want an easy read, comical, and very sexy then this is a must read.

Happy Reading!

4.5 Laugh-Out-Loud Stars!

This book came out of the middle of nowhere and bit me right in the ass! Yep! I loved it! I loved that part of it took place in Dallas, Texas--shout out!

Lexi is a 39 year old, newly divorced mom of three who gave up her career to stay home with her kids. Her husband left her for her personal trainer and as a result Lexi has little to no self worth. But a week long trip to visit her sister Layla in Dallas changes all of that. That is where all of the adventures begin.

While in Dallas, Layla insists that Lexi read some "mommy porn", start a rigorous workout routine and diet in an effort to find the old Lexi. Along the way we meet Mildred, Patrick Dane, and Sebastian Cameron.

I LOVED Lexi and Layla--they were absolutely hysterical. I had tears in my eyes throughout the book. Layla is harsh but the week Lexi spends with her is really life-changing. All of their adventures--from the running, to the pool, to the bar were just great!

Lexi meets Mildred on the plane and she eventually gives her the job opportunity of a lifetime.

Lexi meets Patrick Dane by spilling wine on him at a restaurant. And several romps in the sack later, Lexi is well on her way to re-discovering herself.

Finally, that brings us to Sebastian Cameron, Mildred's son. Sebastian was smoking hot and CRAZY and dirty. Who knew Lexi would end up in a dom/sub fling?!?!

By the end I was literally glued to my Ipad reading to see who Lexi would end up with.

This book was funny. This books was hot. I really think my only complaint would be the ending. It was a HEA but it wasn't enough. I needed MORE!!! An epilogue...something!!! I needed a further look in to the future. I know book 2 is about Layla (which based on the teaser I can't wait for) but I am really hoping we hear more about Lexi and her new relationship as well.

Highly recommend this book!

This was interesting. A little different than what I was normally use to, since in the other readings the women were not going through the changes that Lexi was, but it was still interesting.

Lexi is a newly divorced 39 year old mother who is on the search for herself and with the help of her sister, Layla, she is about to search for who she is. This includes a makeover and some spicy relationships.

This brings in Patrick Dane, a retired police officer, and a sexy plastic surgeon, Dr. Sebastien Cameron. Dane seems to be the perfect person to bring Lexi out of her funk - sexy and he considers all her needs - but nothing is ever what it seems since Dane's is hiding his own secret. Cameron is next on the list, a divorcee as well, he is on the hunt for a new submissive, which Lexi is willing to fill.

While I'm getting a little bored with all these women "looking for themselves" in another man, I think that the ending went well. It brought the story together and gave Lexi a new man, of course. I didn't fully feel like she was finding herself, even though she expressed how "new" she felt, but that was probably because I didn't feel fully in her head just yet.

Either way this was a quick read with a lot of steam in it to keep the readers wanting more. If there's one thing I have to say about the authors is that they could bring a great story. I feel like it could have been longer and left time for more development, but I can't complain too much.

Bad:

- Childish and vulgar writing style with errors (Picked them even though English isn't my first language) and exclamation marks. They made the impression I was reading a teenager's angsty diary or that the narrator was on speed.

- Heroine's unrealistic change from "dumpy" to "foxy" in a week. I can understand the attitude change in her, bringing confidence into her posture, but she literally loses weight in a week just like that.

- Immature characters. It was like she and her sister were white trash, loud, cursing and physically fighting with other women.

Good:

- Funny and had surreal moments.

- The way Lexi doesn't beat around the bush is kind of refreshing.

- Sex scenes were hot without the godawful "inner goddess" and "feminine petals" slush.

- I just had to know how it ends.

I only give 2 stars because the story felt rushed and lowbrow (in a semi-good way only), but entertaining nonetheless. Worth a read.

The beginning of this book was really hilarious. I enjoyed reading it.
Lexi is a 39 year old divorced momma of 3 girls and goes on a week visit with her sister, Layla. There she gets her to start exercising, eating healthy, and reading a BDSM book (Fifty shades???). There she meets a hot guy Dane and has an amazing sex with him. When she gets back to Kansas, they hook up one more time and then Dane leaves to 'sort his shit'. Then, Lexi meets an amazingly sexy Dr. Sebastian who is like a character from her BDSM novel but is not looking for any kind of commitment, only sex.
And now I can't talk about the rest, cos that would be a spoiler :-(

I really liked this book but I think it would have been nice to have some kind of an epilogue :-)

It seemed like this would be a good real life story : trying to find yourself after a divorce, pick up the pieces after a breakup, get back in shape. But.
It helps if the old you was a likable person. Some parts of Lexi Reynolds were good, like the love she has for her children and her strong work ethic. The problem starts when she spends less time with her children, less time at work, to be with a man.
Her character was very hypocritical, judgmental and just all over the place, wishy-washy.
There's not enough room for her to grow in 192 pages.
And sister Layla seemed more like a bad influence, rather than a helpful, caring older sister.

I thought this book was a very funny story. It had the right mix of outrageous humor and sexy scenes. It was a nice surprise! I definitely want to know more about what happens next to both Lexi and her sister, Layla.

I don't even know where to start! I really enjoyed this book and would not have expected it to end the way it did. I felt like I was experiencing everything right along with Lexi. I can't wait for the next book to see what is going to happen!

A nice fun read. Light hearted and entertaining.
Though I really don't understand why BDSM was included in the plot. It really wasn't needed in the story line. Just plain good old sex would have been sufficient. Maybe just a marketing gimmick to capture the FSOG trends.
