Saxon Tate is forbidden. And I can never allow myself to even consider going there again.

I gotta say, I didn't like Saxon before. I don't know.. he was just not memorable in my opinion. So that being said, I actually did not put a high expectation on this. But surprise, surprise! Saxon is by far, hands down, One of my favorite alpha male that Chantal wrote! He was just so sweet but in a rough way.. does that make any sense? LOL.
I guess what really sold me out was the way he proved himself to Tee. Saxon was a refreshing hero, I like that he didn't have to curse so much or be all so caveman to prove that he is an ALPHA.

Normally, I like to embellish and give a brief of the plot in detail but I don’t feel the real need to since it's basically what the synopsis states really. Boy wants girl, but girl resists due to the guy’s past dating history and an unspoken and common acknowledged girl code which is not to date your friends’ exes. Hence, two strikes already against him. Now throw in some jealous groupies causing some trouble, minor family meddling, and one hell bent alpha male set on claiming a successful, independent and feisty spitfire and you got yourself a story!!
My thoughts: As a whole, Saxon was a fast, simplistic, yet steamy read that made me swoon!! I couldn’t get enough of the sweet, filthy heart throb Sax and the fiery Tee!! Love them!! ♥♥
BUT, I DO HAVE A COMPLAINT!!!
Due to Ms. Fernando’s constant (and taunting) mentioning of Tee’s guilty food pleasure, jelly doughnuts, this made me so overcome with a craving to eat some that I actually made a midnight run to 7-eleven!! Grr!! I blame you for the extra five pounds gain Chantal Fernando!! lol

While I adored Saxon, Tenielle was really off-putting for me. I'm all for having confidence in yourself, but I swear she must spend an hour every morning kissing herself in the mirror. Her ego was so inflated it drove me a bit insane. She sounded like a twat, someone needed to knock her down a peg or two. get a grip woman not everyone wants a piece of you. Argh
It's hard for me to really enjoy a book when the heroine isn't very likeable. Saxon should have been matched with someone a bit more down to earth.
Aside from her majesty big head, the story was really rushed. I've read a lot of books this length that haven't felt so chopped and hasty. With 50 or more pages added it could have been a lot more developed.
In one word - passable.

The following quotes are literally from the first 10-15 pages of this joke of a book that I, like hell, did not finish.
"I try to see myself as he would see me. Black hair, caramel-colored skin from my mixed Sri Lankan and Australian heritage.." Much eXoTiC
"We have women throwing themselves at us every day, and it's lost its appeal. Not that I usually take them up on their offer. I've fucked two groupies this whole year, and that was only because I was sick of being lonely and couldn't take it anymore. I can't even remember their faces now." CHARMING so charming. I can't even.
"'I came to say hello,' I tell her, flashing a panty-dropping smile." Is this normal? Please tell me female authors are delusional and that men do not have similar internal monologues. PLEASE.
"Why is she so difficult? She just needs to stop fighting and give in. Things would be so much easier." Said like a true rapist.
"I want to push, but I know now isn't the time. Yet." I am actually scared.
"I'm five-foot-ten with curves that I wouldn't change for the world. I've never heard any complaints before either." You are also obnoxious but who's counting.
"One day everything I own will be hers as well, after all. And I can't wait for that day." Are you fucking kidding me? WHAT? IT'S BEEN 10 PAGES. THEY LITERALLY HUNG OUT TO WATCH MOVIES TWICE.
I don't know what to say. The discrepancy between what female authors think men are like and what men are actually like is as pathetic as it is heart breaking. Not to mention, the author's idea of independent females which is so pathetically (supposedly) bolstered by the heroine's interest in cars, her super formal occupation and her daring, brazen lack of common etiquette coupled with her extreme physical perfection that is also super exotic and unique. Bitch, she just sucks. I can't read two paragraphs in her voice without rolling my eyes 25 times. What this author has achieved is a fucking collage of VERY UNLIKABLE people doing very mediocre things, biting their lips and sharing "heated looks" at an alarming rate of twice per sentence.
Am I the only one who doesn't even remember ever biting her lips? Do all book characters have severe cases of overbite?

hmm I liked bothe the H/h But found the storyline boring nothing really happen and he said ILY so fast also I'm finding the books from this author a bit anti climatic I mean you get a bit of drama but its resolve in two pages nothing really happens in her books no angst no drama nothing

I will probably just repeat my other reviews for Ms. Fernando’s books. I don’t think I have picked up one of her books and not devoured it in one day. The writing just flows and is so easy to lose yourself in that it feels like you just started the book when you are actually half way through. What’s not to love about a strong kick-ass female with a smart ass mouth? Pair that up with a male who is bossy and knows what he wants and absolutely will not take no for an answer and you can’t go wrong.
Saxon and Tee have the sexual chemistry. The problem is they also know each others history. Tee is head strong and stands strong at keeping Saxon at arm’s length. A man she feels something for, but will continue fighting it on principle that she is a loyal friend. She is a strong female who has been put up against a strong, possessive male and watching this battle is well worth a few hours of the day.
To sum things up Ms. Fernando could write about a biker, a DJ or a bar owner - it wouldn’t matter you will come out in the end loving them all. She could make a tutu-wearing trash man with hot pink fingernails panty melting hot. Trust me when I say I don’t give these accolades to just anyone. I absolutely adore her writing, her characters and the sense that when she writes a book it’s for the reader to just fall back and enjoy a story about two people who may be difficult, but when it comes to the falling in love part it’s easy.

The Story was fun , short and sweet . I loved Tee and Saxon together ! .. Tee is an amazing heroine , she's beautiful , funny , loyal and confidant but also vulnerable . Saxon was really hot and sweet and oh so possessive . From the blurb we know that Saxon dated Tee's best friend and cheated on her . So I was nervous going into this , but after reading it , I can honestly say I enjoyed it , It wasn't a "sloppy seconds" situation , Saxon made sure that Tee knows she's the only one for him and how much he's committed to her over and over . The story is low on the angst , Nothing major or huge happens , and any misunderstanding is resolved pretty quickly . so read it if you're looking for a quick , fun and light read .

It was passable and engaging just enough for me to finish, but I didn't like (borderline despised even) any of the characters. Like, no one. There weren't that many, this is short, but all of them were unlikable to me.

OMG! If you have read the Resisting Love Series by this author you will know who Saxon is, but its not essential to thoroughly fall in love with this book !!
This is the story of Saxon & Tee, and right from the word go you will love it !! I just couldn't put this book down. Sax or as i named him SEX! was just hot and adorable and totally alpha. Tee is an amazing character, with strength, independance and speaks her mind and comfortable in her own skin.
Tee is the best friend of Saxon's ex Lexi. During his past relationship with Lexi, Sax cheated on her, although Lexi is now married and totally in love and loved by Tee's cousin Ryder who is also Sax's band mate in the band Morning Alliance. Sax is in love with Tee and determined not to give up, and so comes this amazing story. Tee fights her attraction to Sax, everyone else knows he's inlove with her, and know they would be great together, but Tee has great difficulty with trust, his past, and the fact that he once cheated. OMG he just proves time after time how he loves her, and finally they dive into a relationship, and Sax is determined to never let her down, Faced with crazy stalker fangirls (one of which would most definitely be me!!), long distance relationship and Tee's large protective family. Will they make it? omg you must read this book !!!

Saxon Tate has been wanting Tee from afar, seen as she won't give him the time of day and keeps rejecting his advances.
As much as Tee doesn't want to want Saxon, she can't ignore the fact the man is seriously hot and has no fear telling him. However there's a few things that stop her from giving into Saxon...

As much as Tee try's how long can she keep denying herself the man she wants?
I loved the characters with a passion!

I had one Small problem..
Hate to say this cause i really did like the book but.. it was just too short! we still get a good detailed plot, however i needed it to be longer so it didn't sound rushed.
I still Recommend you guys read this one, a fast, sexy read with kick ass characters!

I received a copy of this book to read for an honest review
This book I was waiting for. Saxon I really enjoyed. I loved how T made him fight for what he wanted and fought hard for her. He balanced her because she had her own issues and he snuck in and got her heart. I can't wait for what is next for them

I really wanted to like this. It had all the right elements. Even the cliché bits were ok. But, in the end, I realized I was just skimming to get through it. It was cute, light, and had its moments. The problem for me came down to the writing. Better than others in the genre right now, but it was still mediocre.

I hate cheaters but I'm hoping he'll redeem himself.
Saxon absolutely redeemed himself. He was the perfect man; loyal, alpha, trustworthy, and HOT.
I liked this story a lot, I wish it had a little more of an edge, but that's okay.
Overall, really good book.

About This Book:

This story is about Tenielle "Tee" Crawford and Saxon Tate. They're both very much attracted to each other and Saxon has been asking her out for ages but always ends up getting rejected. He knows in his gut that there could be something amazing between them but how to convince the stubborn woman to give him a chance?
Tee does not want to go there with Saxon. No matter how hot, charming, and funny he could be. There are many reasons she avoids starting something with Saxon. He is in a band with her cousins, he used to date her best friend, and most importantly, he cheated on said best friend. It doesn't matter than her best friend, Lexi, has made peace with him and is in a very happy relationship with another man.
"Lexi is now happy with Ryder and has forgiven Saxon, but what's the saying?But Saxon slowly starts to worm his way into her life and there is only so much Tee can deny before she gives in. But can she trust him to not cheat on her? And will he be able to stay faithful?

My Thoughts:
- Tee was awesome! So confident, witty, funny, and kinda crazy. She's the kind of heroine I would love to be friends with! You know when you're with Tee, you're going to have a great time.
"Why doubt yourself? What does that do? It's better to look at all your good qualities and focus on those. I'm my own biggest fan."- The best thing about Tee was that she was no blushing virgin! Hooray! She was sexually confident and it was so refreshing to read about a heroine who doesn't stutter and blush every two seconds, and actually knows what she likes. Saxon is a "rockstar" and it's pretty much a given that he has loads of sexual experience and even though I usually don't like those types of heros I'm just glad the heroine is equally matched. You do not know how tired I am of reading about manwhore hero/virgin heroine pairings.
- Apparently all the side characters in this novella are from another series. But this is a standalone. Hmm. This could totally be another book in that series because it does not feel like a standalone. There are all these couples that I have never met, and histories that do not get properly explained.
-The biggest thing I needed explained was Saxon's cheating. I know it was when he and Lexi were very young and he regretted it and wanted her back badly. But, why did he cheat? With who? How did she find out? Why is she friends with him now? I don't know anything! I'm guessing this is addressed in Lexi & Ryder's book? Just a little clarification would have been nice.
- Besides all that, I actually liked Saxon. He was a mixture of caveman and sweet, which worked for me. I liked his determination to have Tee and he went after her with guns blazing. I also liked that he was 100% committed to Tee, he made mistakes in his past and learned from them. He would never do anything to jeopardize things with Tee. He was also possessive and growly. Yum.
"There is no one else I want, and I wouldn't fuck this up for anything."- It was mentioned in the beginning that he had a tattoo of his ex's initials on his knuckles and thank fuck he got it covered up later in the book! It's not even funny how many books I've come across where the hero doesn't do that. I probably would have been pretty pissed if he hadn't done anything about it.
- The rest of the story is the typical rockstar formula. Touring getting in the way, groupies wanting a piece of the hero, heroine's insecurities regarding groupies, and a little dash of stalker drama. It was also low on angst. The drama/misunderstandings get dealt with pretty quickly. So, this is perfect for you if you don't like misunderstandings being carried on for too long.
Overall, I'm glad I gave this a shot even though the "cheating" thing mentioned in the blurb gave me a little pause. But it also made me insanely curious as to how it was going to work out. This is for you if you like confident heroines who give their heros one hell of a chase. ♥

Just in LOVE with Saxon.... Could he be more perfect?!? I mean:

What more can we ask for!?? RIGHT!! ❤️❤️ Loved how he earned her trust, fought for her and knew from the beginning she was like no other.
Tee was amazing, omg I loved her.... Her personality was the bomb, so freaking funny, sassy, self confident, pompous, the banter she threw with everyone was hilarious, such a unique chracter!
The whole story was a delight to read, it amazed me how it all starts to fall into place and the connection from "friends" to lovers that Sax and Tee had... *sigh* Damn I want a friend like Saxon...
The drama was great, that freaking Eliza bitch.... So sad about what happened, but admire both of them and how they handle their grief! Both such strong characters...
I really enjoy reading about the other characters from other books, Reid, Ryan, Chase, Ryder Yay!! Alpha male, hot bunch men... Uuufff
We get to see a glimpse Xander?!! Hot ass biker with beard hehe... With Anna?!? Or Sephi?!? Mmmm can't wait for his book!!

I love the guys from the Resisting Love series - Chase, Kade, James & Ryder - a bunch of hot alpha males. I also enjoyed how the characters, literally and figuratively, became a family. Their different personalities meshed to create lots of funny conversations. Saxon was first introduced in the other books as the sexy and gorgeous drummer of Ryder's band, Morning Alliance, and ex- boyfriend of Ryder's girl, Lexi. His character created tension in Ryder but also showed a tender and funny side in Kade. But he was always known as the "cheating ex."
Who would have thought that he would become my favorite in the group?
There was so much more to him than the reputation he earned from one mistake he committed years ago. Despite being in a popular band, he was loyal, thoughtful, easy-going and really down-to-earth. One of his most endearing traits was his determination to prove himself to Tee. When he loves, he loves hard! How could you not swoon over a guy like that?
Tenielle or Tee was one fierce and badass woman! She was sassy, fun, feisty, confident and loyal. She was a headstrong girl fighting against her feelings for an irresistible guy hell-bent on having her in his life. Goodluck on that!
I loved that the characters from the other books remain to be an integral part of the story. Their interactions were hilarious yet at the same time heart-warming, because it was obvious how they cared and protected each other.
Reid, Ryan and Tag from Maybe This Time even made a cameo as friends of Saxon and Tee.
This was definitely a fun and steamy read!

I really like the story and the characters, I like most of the book it had parts that annoyed me but overall I really enjoy it.

THE HEROINE is very STRONG INDEPENDENT WOMAN. She’s a LAWYER and very SASSY. She’s different from her sister which is the first book. At first she doesn’t like the HERO cause the HERO made a mistake with her best friend but in the end THE HEROINE warms up to him and let him in :)
THE HERO is a handsome protective alpha male. THE HERO is in the band with the HEROINE’S COUSIN. THE HERO wants her sooo bad.... THE HERO always chase her no matter what crap she said to him. THE HEROIN Pushes away but that never stops him :)
• it has a long distance when the HERO went on a big tour but THAT NEVER becomes issue with them
• it has a stalker problem with the hero because the hero is in a band and the stalker likes him so the stalker try to kidnap the HEROINE but the HEROINE IS A BADASS FEMALE so she LET HER SELF OUT AND FIGHT TILL SHE’S FREE

Basically the blurb says it all and it's gooooood!
Saxon Tate was a pretty good character and indeed he will not take no for an answer, can't even begin to tell you how refreshing it was to read about a guy that's not being all whiny and I'm not good enough for you. No. Saxon knows what he wants, and he will stop at nothing to get the girl. He also knows he fucked up big time and chances are slim to none but he won't give up on the contrary he's always there, proving a point.
