Darn! Another hot little number in the Dare series!

 photo Bildschirmfoto2013-09-15um214930png_zpsb472dc59.jpg

"I'm going to do bad things to you, Dr. Winslow," he rasped.

Double Dare picks right up where The Dare left off. Did you think I'd let you get away? Nope, I didn't think so, Mr. Green Eyes.

Green Eyes is a cop, a sexcathalon gold medalist and a bad dangerous guy personified, and he knows how to find the woman who crawled under his skin. A missing Louboutin heel is the perfect pretense to look her up.

There is plenty of spicy sexting…just saying…

Let me in, Cinderella…I dare you.
(…)
I double dare you.
I can't.
What are you afraid of?
You.
You should be.

Usually Katy is not lucky when it comes to men and relationships and she is not all that keen on throwing herself in the arms of another (irritating) guy. However, she can't get a very specific hot cop out of her mind. And when the sexy hunk with the stunning eyes is standing on her threshold, she is very tempted to let him in. What can it hurt to have a hot romp between the sheets? Yet she is afraid that Simon could cost her her heart. Well, that remains to be seen.

I really enjoyed Double Dare a lot! Whew. Karin sure knows how to write arousing smexy times! The dialogue and sexy banter is very well written and made me devour this hot little number in a heartbeat. I am so, so ready to read the next installment The Truth which is due out on November 7, 2013. *grabby hands*

Green Eyes is very experienced and he is determined to seduce the innocent Kat. No worries, with his 'tricks', charm and smart mouth he is going to convince her to cave in eventually. Prince Charming can do me anytime, I wouldn't mind at all. Besides, I would love to check out his arms, just saying. Pun intended. Oh, and Green Eyes can also do very bad things to me. *melts*

There was a specific scene that made me wonder if we'll get some suspense and action in the upcoming two novellas. When Katy I can't help and think that Green Eyes is pretty mysterious. Hence, I would love to get to know him better. In fact, I want to know more about his job since he claimed that he can't tell Katy more because it's too dangerous. BTW, trust goes both ways, right? What the hell? Is he Plus, I want more information regarding his background, his family, Don't hang me out to dry now. I need more!

Double Dare is a great novella that provided one or two nice twists that really packed a punch. It made me also crave for more. Besides, I hope that Karin is going to write another full length novel that features a hot tattooed cop. It would be right up my alley, that's absolutely certain.

Minor quibble
I already mentioned in my review of The Dare that I'd've preferred one full length novel. Double Dare is book two of a four part series. Still, there is no getting around it to admit that I'm enjoying this series tremendously.

The novella ends on a rather interesting cliffhanger. No, scratch that. The cliffhanger is irritating because it makes me want to read the next installment as in right now! Oh, all the delicious anticipation…I hope it's not going to kill me. *pouty face*

Gimme more please!

"Let me be your hero, Cinderella," he said, with gentle warmth that would have made her swoon if she had not been sitting. "I'm good at it."

Recommended read.

Warning
Double Dare contains some hot sexting, phone sex *fans self*, a super sexy make out session AND Holy moly, these must be pretty stimulating!

4 Stars!!

Double Dare picks up where The Dare left off. Katy and Simon have gone their separate ways.

I was really hoping this would be dual POV, but we only get Katy's POV.

Katy can't seem to get Simon off her mind after their explosive one-night/one-morning stand.

I thought Katy was really in her head a lot in this book. She has some definite hang-ups when it comes to men. She doesn't trust, she's insecure. This got a little old at times.

She and Simon share some texts and have some pretty hot phone sex.

There are some pretty major developments at Katy's work, involving Evan. Who I am really starting to hate.

Overall, this was more a transitional read I thought.

Simon and Katy finally reunite towads the end, just in time for a shocking reveal on the Simon front!

Thanks goodness all of the books are out in this series!

5 DANG THAT WAS HOT STARS

I really enjoyed the first book and have been waiting with baited breath for all the series to come out before reading it because I was left with such anticipation after reading the first book. Basically I was pissed to discover it was a series with a major cliffhanger that I would have to wait to finish. Now that I finally have all the books and I finally have the time, all I can say is it was worth the wait.

I loved it. Do I think Kat jumps to conclusions? Yes! (view spoiler) So I get her rush to judgement and subsequent emotional breakdown.

I loved how they were at the bar and with Evan watching. I loved how they were later before the evening ended so abruptly.

description

I'm diving right into the next installment and I can't wait to read what happens next. I hope she kicks Evan and Genomtec's ass!

Karin Tabke has Double Dare pick up where The Dare left off at, and this book makes me want even more of the sexy, green-eyed Captain named Simon. I cannot even get him out of my head right now while typing up this review. He won me over even more after reading the Double Dare even with that shocking cliff-hanger. I should be confused and angry, just like Katrina is...but I just cannot.
In Double Dare, we have Katrina going through hell due to what happened in The Dare, and it is about to get worst for her.

I highly recommend this short novella and give it 5 full moons. I need the next book already...because I need me some more of Simon. I miss him already. I need to find out the truth about him because darn it, Karin, you left us hanging.

Double Dare is the follow up to The Dare, where we meet Katrina and Simon. I just want to say that I lurves me some Simon! There was some questions answered in this book, but then we have new questions along with that douche bag Evan and his hag of a wife... Why do I dislike them so much? Well maybe because Tabke does a wonderful job on her characters. If she meant for them to be villains then they are.

My only hiccup with the entire story is that it was too short! I devoured this read in less than two hours.

You definitely want to pick this book up, and hang on tight for the ride that is Double Dare. Everyone needs some Simon in their life...

Simon says... READ DOUBLE DARE!

3.5 Simon Says stars

Katy returns from the conference with her tail between her legs. But nothing prepares her for the next turn of events.

She's been let down repeatedly, with no sign of stopping. This chapter sees her revealing her inner vixen, and making that attempt to trust...

Will she see Simon again? Will she ever feel the way he made her feel again? Will she ever trust a man again?

Oh boy...Doc Winslow and Simon at it again. I loved this installment in the Katrina Chronicles. Double Dare really ramps things up. Tabke, well Simon, kept me up late for many nights. I had to pace myself. I learned a few things, and you can't beat that. I also did a lot of self reflection when reading about Doc Winslow's insecurities. She is a brilliant scientist with so many hangups. She hid herself, and I loved watching her discover herself, get comfortable with it, and wield her new found power. It was great watching the transformation. This story is hard to put down, but I suggest you pace yourself. It's hotter than the first installment, so be ready with a fan, hot water, your own Ben Wa balls...you have tot read it to find out why. Everyone is going to want their very own Sugar Plum "Fairy" :) I must admit, that the way Tabke ended this...cliffhanger...hate those. It really made me mad, especially the way it ended. Aaaahhhh!! I said "Really? No way!" I'm feeling some HATE for Simon right now, but I'm trying to rationalise things. It could all be a part of an undercover thing. My fingers are crossed. I can't wait for the third installment of the Katrina Chronicles to get here. I want to find out what happened NOW not when November 5th gets here. That is the sign of a true master of their craft. Karintabke sucked me in, and now I have to bide my time. I swear, I feel like Doc Winslow and her Pavlovian ways when she hears the ping of her phone telling her Simon sent a text. Read it for yourself, and you'll see what I'm talking about.

Yep. Karin was right. I fell in love with Simon. Then I just wanted to hit him over the head.
He is a big bad wolf. And what a smooth talking big bad wolf. Katy is Cinderella. She needs to be rescued. What an odd mixing of fairy tales going on. But this all comes down to a spellbinding story that makes you keep turning the pages to the very end. And talk about and ending. Man.
The humor in this story had me laughing out loud repeatedly. Simon knows how to say the right things at just the right times that make you fall in love with him. How could Katy not fall for him.

Now the wait for the next one to come out...... I need more Simon. :-P

This is continuing Katrina's journey. I usually don't care for it when authors have a series of novellas continuing one pair of characters' story, but Karin Tabke makes it work really well. Karin Tabke can take erotic romance and make it work because she has the hot sex, but has the emotion to go along with it. I felt for Katrina in this one. Her life is spiraling out of control, but the ever hot Simon is still there hotter than ever. I can't wait for the next installment to see how Katrina deals with this new bump in the road.

I love this book!!! I loved the last one!! I love the flow of the story I love the way things unravel I love the charecters and the way they are described.
I HATE how I finished the first book in a few fast hours. I Hate that I had to wait for book two when I wanted it as soon as I finished the first one. And I HATE that book two was devoured by yours truley in less than an hour. And I hate I'm sitting here frothing at the mouth and chopping at the bit for book three and Waiting yet again!!!

This second book of the chronicles of Katrina is even better than the first! Hot and steamy, it's filled with mystery (who is Simon, really?), passion, lies, betrayal and revenge. All masterly woven into a short novella. I don't normally read books in this genre, but I wanted to read Karin Tabke for some time now. When I saw the first book The Dare (The Chronicles of Katrina One) for free on Amazon, I downloaded it and read it right away. Of course, with that cliffhanger ending, I had to buy this book right away. Now I'm eagerly waiting for the next two to hopefully get answers to all the questions.

Simon, as far as we know, has never lied to Kat and has been nothing but kind, respectful and considerate. Did I mention hot? He never did anything she didn't want and never took advantage of her. So when he tells her "It's not what you think, Kat.", I believe him. Could it have something to do with a case he's on? Does it involve Kat or Evan or the research company they work for? This story is like crack and I'm addicted!

Double Dare by Karin Tabke – Book 2

This second book did not disappoint, the emotions and pain that Katy feels are seeped through the pages that you can’t help but feel them.

I love the chemistry between Simon and Katy and how he can be her Prince in shining armour and boy does Katy need one of those in her life at the moment.

In this part of the story, Katy finds the Evan does a complete dirty on her and gets her fired from her job and potentially put in jail for apparently stealing work that she created from a company she left 5 years ago. Feeling that every man in her life has screwed her over and broken her heart, will she be brave enough to let Simon into her heart?

I have already got the next book (3) The Truth and cannot wait to read book 4 The consequence and book 5 Dare me again.

This is a great series that keeps the reader hooked and the obsession to learn and read more.

And the HOTness continues!!!!

After that Dare that changed her life, Katrina is hurting, feeling played, twice! But Simon is not letting her go.

"Did you think I’d let you get away?"

While Katrina just wants to go back to her normal boring life, she can't stop thinking about Simon, fantasizing about him. Hell, even I can't stop thinking about Simon! But her drama’s just getting started. Not only does she lose her job, but unpredictable and sexy-as-hell cop Simon insists they have fantasies left to explore.. something he proves when he sexts her a provocative double dare.

Darn, this book will get you hooked!!!! It's hot, sexy, funny and just a delight!

Again, you're gonna wanna read the next book right away since this is a series of short read.

Double Dare by Karin Tabke

I blame the title! I was Double Dared to hold of reading this story in installments/serials and I failed. If only all my failures were this deliciously erotic, I’d be a very happy woman. In my defense I purchased it on sale and feel that the price was justified for the length of the book.

Book two continues with all kinds of goodies, naughty talking, sexting, exhibitionism and lessons in using toys, to name a few. The relationship between Simon and Katy expands with some surprising twists and I’m hooked again. Book 3 was recently on sale so the pain of this serial story is somewhat diminished.

This story would have been a higher rating if it was a complete novel.

When is the next book out?!

Eeep, this one was pretty damn hot! I like the D's vibe Simon and Katy have going on. Tho I have to say I did want to smack Katy around more than half the time. I get her reasons, but it's still frustrating as heck! Come on, Katy, he's a keeper!! lol! Simon is so patient in this book (a little too patient perhaps) but, he knows what he wants and isn't afraid to say it - I really, really, like that about him. I am both anxious and excited to find out how this story will conclude. It's overall a great and fun read. Cannot wait for the final book! :)

Love it!

I love this book but really don't like the female character. I also know that stealing someone's research is nearly impossible but for entertainment purposes I will just try to be forgiving about that part of the story. Not everyone knows how much trouble scientists go through to have their work validated and verified by the proper agencies. I wish the female character knew how to properly stand up for herself. The captain seems a bit shady but I think he is definite alpha fantasy material. Plot is getting exciting. Next book! Happy reading fellow bookworms. (PS definitely worth the read!)

Oh my Double Dare has left me speechless!
I don't think there could be a better revenge scene than what transpires in the Redwood Room! Every woman who has ever sat back and daydreamed about how to payback that jerk that broke her heart has to read this. Karin Tabke has really turned up the heat in this installment of The Chronicles of Katrina.
I can't wait to read The Truth tonight.

I really liked this book, but there were times that I wanted to smack Kat for being so wishy washy. I get that you've been hurt and you don't want to trust men, bit then you need to make a decision and stick with it. Looking forward to the next part.

What a great second book to this series. After reading the first book I had low expectations for sequel, but I was pleasantly surprised. The characters are more likeable and vulnerability is being expressed. Will read the next one
