Until a few extraordinary women walk into their lives.

In this, the second of the series, Mac and Ben are going to fall fast for Clytie’s cousin Cassandra. She’s going to have to deal with two sexy alpha males who make her laugh, turn her on and who would die to keep her safe.

If she can trust her heart, get past their player pasts, not to mention ability to turn into an animal at will…she could find the love a lifetime.

Okay. Did not LOVE this one like the first one, but I did really like it.

I don't know how any H in this series is going to beat Demon; honestly, it's a steep hill to climb.

Again, Barbara, you're the coolest.

Real life preventing me from reading today, but I will be continuing on with the series tonight!

I have grown accustomed to a certain level of poor editing in self-published books, but this book was TERRIBLE. I don't think anyone read the book at all before it was published. The name of the heroine is frequently replaced with the name of the heroine from book 1, and vice versa. Incorrect words are used throughout. And there is a lack of periods separately sentences, making it very confusing to read. These and other mistakes are very distracting.

It's too bad, because the story has moments of humorous dialogue that would distinguish it from other books in the genre of Shapeshifting romance. I had given it a try because I had enjoyed book 1 despite similar editing (or lack thereof) problems. But between the complete lack of editing and the somewhat skimpy storyline and characterizations, these books aren't going to make my keeper pile. In fact, I almost didn't finish book 2 because of these problems. And it's not very long.

The author has talent, but she needs to mature and develop her stories more and take some grammer classes. And get an editor.

4.0 RATING- I actually liked this second book a bit better than the first in the Keeping Her series. The chemistry between all the characters including the supporting cast added a lot to the story. Obviously, these are just guilty pleasure reads. That being said, they're still really enjoyable. Loving some sexy, shifter action. Glad I'm getting around to reading this series that several of my GR peeps have read and recommended!

Readers that aren't fan's of MFM menage may want to skip this one.

Lets see! okay since I loved seeing Clythie and Demon all over again, really that alone, it would be more than enough for making me reading it.
Now this book I believe it was funnier than the first one, not so much hot scenes,( like really crazy hot scenes ), but I do admit that the building anticipation created by the dynamical and unbreakable duo to Cassie, it really gave me goosebumps.
So yeah, pretty much funny: with all the girls to the power against hot sexy as hell guys( I mean, hello ? sexy ex SEAL shifters!), and poor girls nodding over their cereals after a crazy hot night with their respective guys, and like if that wasn't enough ( at least for being the envy of any logical woman), they both were the only two girls cohabiting in a house full of fucking hot ex SEALS shifters living as a pack of, I don't know , maybe 8 drop dead gorgeous, perfectly hot guys!!!! please have mercy !
So following the first book, we see Demon's pack, whose members are distributed around the country and having only 3 of them living on daily basis in the house, with Demon's mate: Clythie, and who is now expecting the visit of her favorite cousin, and only seconds later she's just been warning the sexy duo that she was off limits... they were already jumping on her! well more like falling on top of her, being acurately!. Cassie will find herself struggling in every meaning of the word with a fast attraction ,some pack problems to come, and of course her very own problems that have followed her through her journey.
A very light reading, laughing moments, and sweet times as well.
"Yes, exactly. It's obvious when you guys are together that you're family. More than the one you were born to; a real family doesn't hurt each other, not on purpose anyway. they just love you and let you be who you are. I want that. And I want to give that to you. To both of you"

That's the only one I can quote without going in laughter state, and besides I Love it!! because it's true!! friends are the family that one choose! I fucking believe it!

Once again- I loved the humor, all of the pack members, and the action. I loved Ben's humor, and Mac with Cassie. I wish this would have been a story for Mac and Cassie only. I felt like Ben was a third wheel in the chemistry department.

And once again there was a lot of editing issues. This is a reoccurring theme for the rest of the series-as well as name mix ups and what animal some of the characters are, depending on the story. Definitely needed an editor.

Also- I wish the story was more from the triad instead of almost the entire pack. I would have rated this story higher had we had more genuine time with the three main characters POVs.

I am really liking this shifter series! Mac and Ben were sweet hotties and Cassie was adorable and funny! This is a menage story so be warned. I didn't have a problem with it because all three were on the same page and it was a committed relationship. No cheating and it was a happy for now ending. I loved seeing more of Demon and Clytie in this story, as well add the addition of Roxanne! I hope these couples are in the next book as well.

This was a very good book. I loved the first book in the series Keeping Her and this is a great followup. In this book we get to see Mac and Ben (from book 1) find their mate.

Cassie is Clytie's (from book 1) cousin. She comes in town for a visit but is also planning to move to the area due to issues with an ex (that's also a dirty cop) that wont leave her alone. When Cassie shows up at Clytie's place, she's pretty surprised to find herself engaging with 2 sexy men before she even gets in the door.

Mac and Ben are both shifters and work in security. They're partners and packmates with Demon (the hero from book 1 and Clytie's man) and live in the same building as Demon and Clytie. Ben is a jaguar shifter and Mac a wolverine shifter. They have been best friends for years and started sharing women for safety at first (an interesting and logical reason) but eventually found that it worked for them and they both became convinced that they were destined to find the same mate. They certainly didn't expect her to show up on their doorstep.

Cassie is flattered but a little freaked when she meets Mac and Ben and they pursue her immediately. Fortunately they back off a bit and give her time to get acclimated and settled in. During this time she gets to know Mac and Ben and finds that she really likes them. She's unsure about the idea of 2 guys but sees what Demon and Clytie have and want someone that feels the same for her. She thinks she could have that with Mac and Ben so she doesn't fight it as she feels she should. It's pretty sweet seeing things start with them. Ben is sweet and funny and Mac is more sedate but very intense so they balance each other very well. Cassie is sweet but also has spirit so she's able to keep up with the 2 of them and grow to love them both equally.

While Cassie and her men are working things out, there are a few different plot lines that bring interest to the story. Demon and Clytie get an unexpected kid when an orphan girl that's kin of Demon gets dropped in their laps. There is difficulties with Demon's old pack bringing danger. Ben's past comes forward to cause issues and has to be dealt with. And then there's Cassie's ex that comes to town to cause her trouble (TBH, I thought the conclusion of this part was a bit anticlimactic). Things certainly keep hopping as troubles are dealt with and Cassie, Ben and Mac work out their relationship. Things are wrapped up well in the end with a good HEA for Cassie, Ben and Mac and a lead in to the next book in the series.

I enjoyed this story so very much. I'm loving the series and will certainly be looking forward to the next book in the series. The stories are engaging and enjoyable and the characters are wonderful. I'd recommend this book. Thumbs up! :D

I adore the Lionsgate pack and Loving Her is one of the many reasons why. This is the second book in the Keeping Her series, I laughed just as much as I did in the first one. For this book, Clytie’s cousin, Cassandra, is coming to visit and has trouble on her heels from a persistent ex who likes to use his fists and also happens to be a cop. Even with the dire warnings from Demon and Clytie that Cassie is off limits, as soon as they open the front door they know she is the one for them. They just have to convince her, which from the shenanigans from the get go, this won’t be a problem but they are willing to wait until she’s ready. Considering they are two unbelievably hot men who want her to be the permanent filling in their man sandwich, this shouldn’t take long.

Essie, an ancient, grumpy member from Demon’s old Bone Crusher pack shows up with the world’s strangest and cutest little wolf shifter orphan named Roxanne in tow. The glimpses we get of the big and scary Demon and Roxie together were tooth ache inducing sweet and reminded us that Clytie is a lucky girl to be his mate. The interaction between Essie and the boys had me cracking up, especially Ben and his constant stream of one-liners towards her. Unfortunately, she came with bad news about the Bone Crushers and their plans. If that wasn’t enough chaos to inject into the story, Ben’s past comes calling and it is not a pretty one.

Although I didn’t adore Cassie quite as much as I did Clytie, I did like her immensely. Not as quirky as her cousin, she was a little firecracker which kind of made up for that. Unfortunately, the situation with the ex just didn’t ring true for me nor was it resolved satisfactorily enough for me. I wanted meaningful amounts of blood, a grisly death, or at the least a long-term prison sentence with a huge, mean, cell mate looking for a new girlfriend but then we all know I’m bloodthirsty when it comes to these things.

Now Ben and Mac– holy wow that is hot guy overload. Ben had me laughing and swooning, Mac had me wishing I was Cassie. We got a huge dose of Ben’s history, but I really wish we could have learned more about Mac. I want to know everything there is to know about wolverine shifters because they sound fascinating. Plus the one little nugget of history we were given about him just made me extremely curious and saddened me at the same time.

Even with the missed opportunities, Loving Her was still just as snarky and fun as Keeping Her. Next up is the King of the Jungle. I can’t wait to see what Lucas will have to roar about.

This book was really enjoyable. I like that this author writes things the way she does. She's a great story teller and it's easy to follow along. I love the characters set for this book and was happy to read about Mac and Ben. I felt Cassandra complimented the whole group nicely and I can't wait for the next one.
The sex scene's were super sexy and hot and really added fuel to the fun fire of this book! Totally recommend, but read the first one before hand, Keeping Her. You won't be able to follow along as all are reoccurring characters. I just wish these books were longer!

Good plot, fast pace and good fun. Menage with a lion, wolverine and human h. The guys flirt madly with her, but for them it's the start of a serious relationship. I liked that she wasn't coy with them, and was open to them. There's an evil OM and it was a great read.

Ok, so this is one of my guilty pleasures. After reading the first book I was intrigued about Ben and Mac's story, so when I found this book in passing, I was on it. Especially as I have been struggling to finish longer books - this was just what I was after.....straight up, no messing around erotica.
So this is the story of Ben and Mac, who upon meeting Clytie's cousin, Cassie, end up falling for her, quite literally. Cassie is effectively running away from her ex-abusive boyfriend and of course cant resist two hot, ex-navy aplha men, who yes, share!
I liked this book for what it is.....Cassie was by far a better heroine, and was actually very whitty, playing off Demon's uber-alphaness. You also get to know other characters, who were only briefly mentioned in the first book. There was alot more dialogue to follow in this, what with the characters actually talking rather than grunting like Demon in book 1 :)
The only thing I would say is the fact that the intimate scenes seemed kinda rushed. I know this is a short story, but they were over before you could blink and not that plentiful.
Anyway, still a good quicky to tied me over and an interesting ending to set up the next instalment! 3.5 stars

I enjoyed the first book in this series because it was a simple, sweet and funny juant to HEA, regardless of the ridiculous amount of plot points thrown in there. I honestly have no idea how the three main characters got to hea in this book beacause it just happened, not one of the more interesting emotions was even dealt with-this was an awfully complicated arrangement to be made this simple. Disappointed and done with this series.

This book was really good. I couldn't stop laughing!!! Really, really enjoy this series, especially Demon, Ben and Mac. Now I need Logan, Shawn and Eli's story. Oh, and I'd really like to be there for the topless volleyball scene from Top Gun!!!

Found this to be mostly a continuation from 'Keeping Her #1 and it rocked just as much. Demon, Clytie, Ben and Mac - love them. Lots of new people introduced but since the series is 8 novels, it is not a surprise. Just hope the whole series lives up to the first two novels.

Cheers

2.5 Fluffy Shifter Stars
Book two brings us a little menage action between Demon’s roommates, Ben & Mac, and Clytie’s cousin, Cassandra. Other than the MFM dynamic, it pretty much reads the same… short, fluffy, funny-ish, insta-love, shifter romance.

Bottom Line- This one’s kind of a tweener… It wasn’t awful, but wasn’t great either. I definitely preferred book 1. I felt like the threesome was off, and I think a 2-person romance would’ve worked better when working with 100 pages. Very formulaic…so if you liked the first book, chances are you’ll like this one too. BUT, this is fluff, (soapy feeling, no real development- shit just happens) so if you’re not in the mood for fluff… I’d skip. There’re some cute parts…some steamy parts (but less than I’d expect with this setup) …some funny parts with a hint of danger, a splash of family drama, and a smidge of wannabe OW drama. (not reciprocated with minimal meddling) *There’re quite a few editing issues including numerous times where the wrong character name is used… like swapping Cassandra for Clytie.

I don’t know why I put myself through this. It was gross and annoying. Just like the first one. I do not want to read about spines being ripped out. I would also love for the women to actually stick up for themselves and get some boundaries. The men weren’t kidding when they said they were the boss. That just pisses me off. At least Clytie has a job. Cassandra seems to have no drive to do anything. I’m sure the men wouldn’t let her even if she tried. I’m sick of them spying on them. The only thing I liked about this book was Roxanne.

So love the humor

I so enjoy the humor in these first two novels of the Keeping Her series. I read one part to my husband, and even he had a good laugh. Sometimes you want to read a certain type of hot, funny, sweet story with super alpha males and strong females....wait, I usually want to read that kind of story. Well, this one ticked all my boxes, and I loved it.

Pretty much insta-love on both sides when Cassie comes to visit her best friend Clytie and meets Ben and Mac.

Cassie doesn't seem much fazed when she finds out they're shape shifters.

They stand up for her when her abusive ex comes for her.

She stands up for Ben when his ex shows up.

And the guys fight when a gang of shapeshifters show up at the house.

It's ok, but it seemed more stuck in the past book and world-building for a series, than as a well-rounded story. It's a shame because I really liked the first one. Still worth reading if you don't mind mfm-books though.

I really liked this. Once again the characters meet right away and don’t have any drama between them. It’s my favorite trope. (Pretty sure it’s not technically a trope but it should be by now.) Cassie was also pretty funny.

The book could use an editor to clean it up but it wasn’t distracting.

This was another great read, the characters are hilarious, well written and sexy. I liked that there was more introduction to their animal sides, and the pack. Can't wait to read more.
