It was a good book with lots of cool, weird, and surprising fact's. Some of the fact seem fake and you won't believe them but they are all real! Like did you know rabbits can see behind them while looking strait ahead! Its like they have eyes on the back of there head! The thing I love most about this book is that everything is real and I recommend it to readers that are curious.
National Geographic Kids Weird But True! 6: 300 Outrageous Facts by National Geographic Kids is a good informational book for early readers. With weird facts and illustrations about different things that interest children, I think it to be a great choice for educating students and getting them to love reading. I would recommend this book to ages 6-12 years old.
This is the most poorly written fact book of its type that I’ve ever found. It’s not specific in the details. It’s a pile of stuff that could be intersecting if it were sorted out and put with it’s missing parts. 🤷♀️
"National Geographic Kids Weird but True! 6: 300 Outrageous Facts" is a nonfiction fiction book intended for elementary school kids. This is a book about 300 weird facts about random things in the world. For example, some zoo animals suck on blood-sicle's during heat waves to stay cool. Another example is that some butterflies drink turtle tears. Those are very weird facts, but they are true facts that scientists have discovered somehow. This a great book for kids who want random knowledge on many different topics. It has really interesting facts that they can tell friends or family members. Some of them really make you think or even make you want to do more research about. The book says that there is a pink lake in Australia. That would make people want to do more research on the lake. Like why is it pink? May 14, 2020
This a super fun book! There is no specific flow to the book each page has multiple random facts. Kids and even adults that read this will forget their learning because this book has some of the most funny and weirdest facts. The facts span from animals to weird bodily functions. The illustrations and pictures are portrayed in such a fun way! This book is by National Geographic which is perfect for nonfiction. The author's style is informal but very factual.
I liked this book. I did not like that it talked about life being on earth for millions of years but I thought there were some fun cool facts. I would recommend this book if you want to learn some interesting facts.
I have read about a lot of things here are the most interesting ones for me: It doesn't rain in the eye of a hurricane, a turtle’s shell is made up of about 50 bones, Atlantic lobsters sometimes eat each other, a palm tree is not a tree it’s a type of grass, a cronut is a cross between a doughnut and a croissant, the first ever webcam was used to watch a pot of coffee, the world’s biggest passenger jet weighs as much as 100 hippos and Rabbits can see behind them without moving their heads. Something I never seen before is that this book doesn't have characters. My book changed in a major way because it talked of a lot of different things. I will recommend this book to Luci because she is reading a similar book and I know she will love this book because it is so interesting and also she told me that this book was cool.
This was so much reading this book while my students hovered over me to see the pictures and fun photos. This book will definitely make it's way around to students in my class!
I like how there are so many interesting facts and it is just really random. Like on one page there is a fact about Egypt then the next is about pigs or something!
