This book tells parts of Professor Rosa Virginia Mattos e Silva's life. She was born in Salvador, Bahia, Brazil, in 1940 and died also in Salvador/Brazil in 2012. She was a brilliant Linguist who has done important researches on the origins and development of the Portuguese language. She used to work at Universidade Federal da Bahia, Federal University of Bahia, UFBA, in Salvador Bahia, Brazil. The book is written by Professor Américo Venâncio Lopes Machado Filho, who is also a Linguist researcher and professor at the same university
