Paige Burton meets the love of her sexual life at a masked sex party when she’s too young to realize how special their connection is. After years of searching for similar sexual bliss, she has officially given up. Now she pours out her frustration via her online blog and by dancing away her frustrations in her club.

Billionaire architect Mayson Montgomery made her fortune building eco-friendly offshore wind turbines. She learned quickly that money stood in the way of finding a happy ever after. But she still remembers her masked angel years ago.

When they meet again, Paige doesn’t make the connection between her masked lover from the past and Galveston’s raunchy rich heart throb. Fortunately, Mayson is a little more aware and won’t give up until Paige has fallen head over heels for her.

Will Paige and Mayson grasp the love in front of them or will they let it slip away a second time?

Typical lesfic books obsess over finding 'The One'--that elusive soulmate for life. This book obsesses over finding 'The One' too--that perfect, glorious, mind-altering 'O' so powerful they reduce one to tears (author's words ;) ).

Paige Burton experiences one mind-shattering night in a party with an anonymous masked woman while visiting New Orleans. For the next several years, no one has managed to top it or even come close. As her way of coping, she puts out a blog reviewing sex toys and dances in her own nightclub and does nightly battles with her evil orange cat. Fate pushes her into the path of self-made billionaire Mayson Montgomery--tall, tanned, buff--and lifted straight out of a Harlequin romance but with upgraded finances and the right gender, of course. The two ladies have a history, and because of it Paige carries a huge chip on her shoulder. But what neither of them know, is that that they know each other much more intimately than that.

The plot is quite implausible but it's a lot of fun and a little angsty. This is an erotic novel so check your logic at the door and enjoy the ride... and remember to hang on.

If you loved the The Night Off, you'll definitely enjoy this. No BDSM here though, just erotic games.

5 stars for the erotica, 4 for everything else. And props to BSB for that incredibly gorgeous cover!

P.S. Whats with the one-star reviews? Get this book with your eyes open. This is F/F erotica that actually has an interesting if predictable plot, good characterization, some angst, lots of humor and is at least long enough to not feel like a rip-off. :)

This book sent me in more rages then I could count. Also, there were major editing issues, characterization issues, and horrible analogies.

HULK SMASH!
I don't think the author has ever heard of the word "consent." While the whole idea of masks was super sexy, I had major issues with how Mayson dealt with her knowledge of Paige. Yes, Paige consented to sex with the masked woman, but Mayson knew that Paige would never consent to sex with her. It was rape via deception; like a rape-y/x-rated version of You've Got Mail. When Mayson was herself, not hiding behind a mask, she used her money to force Paige into inappropriate situations. Paige said no more than once, and Mayson forced her to go on dates. She put her hands on her after being told not to. She kissed her after being told directly that she shouldn't. I don't care what Mayson felt. This isn't okay. If Mayson were a man, people would be livid with this, but because it's a queer romance, it's suppose to be sexy? NO. Still assault. The entire time I felt uncomfortable. It wasn't sexy. It wasn't romantic. AND at the end, Mayson says she WON'T let Paige get away again. What? No. You may not want her to go away. You may not want to lose her, but you don't fucking own her. Mayson is fucking insane. A stalker, an assaulter, and a complete creep.

Editing:
There were a few grammar errors, but a lot of the issues dealt with what should and shouldn't have remained in the book. So much of the book repeated itself. The characters had the same thoughts, responses, and reactions, over and over again. At least half the book could have easily been cut, and nothing would have been lost plot wise. Another issue with the editing involved the sex scenes. This sometimes happens with queer books, but all the "she's" stats to get muddled and it becomes lost on who is doing what to whom. Also, I had to read a few scenes more than once, and unfortunately, not because they were good. I was trying to imagine what was actually happening and it didn't really work. Having readers focusing of the fact "that doesn't work like that" during a sex scene means the author is doing something incorrectly.

Characterization:
Mayson and Paige were such cliches. Mayson was the perfect billionaire. Paige was ridiculous. How she was an adult, I'm still not sure. She acted like a snotty, teenage bitch the entire time. Both apparently have only a one-track mind - SEX. We get it. You both think the other is hot. Fucking the frak out of one another didn't give that away already. At one point Paige sees Mayson as a humanitarian doing volunteer work, and finally realizes that Mayson is more than just a billionaire. Any other person would look in awe and pride. Mayson's response is to lick the sweat off of her neck. Really? Your girlfriend is in the middle of a disaster zone saving children and your first thought is "Can I fuck her?" Grow up!

Analogies:
Oh dear gods, the analogies. So many and they were so bad. At first I thought they were funny, but then they just started getting worse and worse. The first I remember tweeting about was along the lines of "humming like a hungry animal." Yes. Because that analogy makes perfect sense. *headesk* And that's one of the better ones.

All I can say is save yourself from this book because there are certainly better ones out there that are much sexier, involve masks, and don't make you feel like you're reading something that will eventually be turned into a horrid episode of SVU.

I howled, applauded, panted, and dabbed away the tears from pure pleasure while reading this book. This is a wonderful multi-layered love story, peppered with nearly devastating confusion, and practically undermined by misunderstood class collision. I think it would be divine to see this as a play or movie, but the remarkably pure sexual heat would definitely limit the distribution venue. What a shame. At least there is the written word and that has masterfully unraveled the intimacy and details allowing me to savor the humor, the women, and the monumental obstacles seeking to crumble the wishes and desires for the star-crossed characters. I unquestionably recommend this!

Paige Burton came alive in New Orleans. She was supposed to be in Jamaica, but an airline booking snafu gave New Orleans the chance to become the birth place for all the magic. On one night with an adroit mystery maiden hidden behind a mask, she reaches the Mt. Everest of sexual highs again and again. Now for six years she has been haunted by that experience. She has accomplished a great deal on her own. Built her amazing club, called Visions, in honor of the secret password leading to New Orleans' heated encounter, from practically nothing and gathered a coterie of followers for her *X* blog. However, that memory of the masked woman who took her to the unparalleled climactic highs hovers over all experiences since that memory was created and all of them more than pale in comparison. Fascinating!

Mayson Montgomery was born to rich parents. However, as she adroitly said one time, “They were rich, I had to earn my own way and sometimes it was messy.” It would probably take a passel of experiences, exposure, and flat-out heroism before Paige's view of Mayson, the rich bitch in her view, transformed to the real Mayson in Paige's eyes. Hence, the brilliantly elaborate subterfuge that Mayson orchestrates involving an amazingly ingenious fan of *X* the blogger in the form of Vinden Gudinna. This alter ego may be the most extraordinary, imaginative, creative, and inventive ploy I have ever read. Vinden provokes all the amazing responses I listed in my opening above. Vinden Gudinna is a virtuoso creation in Swedish, since Sweden was the site of one of Mayson's breakthrough North Atlantic aquatic wind farms. Mayson may be too good to be true, but I choose to believe her parents and a solid upbringing laid the foundation for this phenomenal woman. Bless the gods!

Two very strong women with a pointedly painful history from a single moment in their youth which ended when Mayson pushed Paige into a fountain soaking her and her diary. Mayson knows all the underpinnings leading up to that moment, but Paige paid the price of losing her sanctuary and so started Paige's utter contempt for Mayson. That is the uphill travail that faces both of these women. This is a story that should not be missed. I relished it and I exhort it wholeheartedly. Magnificent!

Please pay no attention to some of the reviews. I expected it to be a boring cliche like most les novels but it was exactly what I needed straight up erotica not mushy or angsty most les novels tend to drag the story and end up disappointing those that want a quick escape. Just check out your brain for a few hours and enjoy this one. I thought I was going to hate this based on the reviews and the butch femme dynamic but I was surprised; while I prefer femme femme like 'thirteen hours' this was a fun read and Mason was just too sexy. In my head she isn't butch butch cos the author didn't exactly describe her as a stereotype . The reviews almost made me hate paige too but I liked her from page 1. Keep an open mind and enjoy. After 'thirteen hours' this one is the next best les erotica. Its trashy i know I know... but At the end I wanted more. My secret shame :)

I absolutely loved Paige and Mayson's story. I feel there was just enough angst, hurdles, mystery, heat, passion, and love. I have read this twice sine I bought it a couple of weeks ago. I would definitely recommend this to those who love to jump on the rollercoaster of emotions along with the characters. This author gives you no choice but to enjoy the ride.

THAT. WAS. SO. HOT. It was a first that I’ve read a book where it made me squirm from the intensity. No I’m not just talking about the sex scenes. It was the buildup that I like the most. The connection, the chemistry of Paige and Mayson, the flow of the story, I like it all. Minimal mistakes that needs proofreading and a bit confusing sometimes when alternating the POVs but still a good book.

P.S. The cinema scene was so... *lips sealed*

Soulmate erotiplot. Read if you're looking for something that's hot, heavy, creative and varied. Trigger warning for dubious consent, immature characters and cringeworthy (read: shaming other characters about their sexual performance) humour.

VISIONS started off a bit rocky for me. The two main characters, Paige and Mayson, meet up at a masked sex party and jump into bed with each other within pages. Yes, I do know the summary promised that, but I didn’t expect it at the very start of the book!

But once I got further into VISIONS, the beginning made a lot of sense. Ever since Paige had that mindblowing sex at the masquerade, she’s been searching for more. But her search has been downright disappointing, and so she’s become a connoisseur of sex toys, even writing a review blog. Mayson has put her love life on the backburner, content to provide humanitarian relief for disaster stricken areas. When the two meet again -- by coincidence and face to face -- neither knows who the other is, and sparks fly. Paige can’t stand Mayson, but once Mayson figures out Paige is the one from the masquerade, she’s determined to win her over.

There’s a lot of steamy sex in VISIONS. It’s in the first chapter, and then throughout the book. There’s the Mayson/Paige friction/chemistry, which was fun to read, and also the Vinden/Paige adventures, wherein a masked mystery woman seduces Paige and gives her incredible orgasms. I hate to say it, but there was a bit too much sex for me in VISIONS. The different sex scenes were fun at first, but they got somewhat repetitive.

I thought VISIONS was pretty good. Perfect for the beach or an afternoon of escapism. Paige and Mayson were both strong women who knew what they wanted and were determined to get it. I did wonder why Paige was so focused on finding someone for great sex and great sex alone.

I can get why this book got so many bad reviews. Paige was annoying and childish, the editing wasn't so great great, etc. But you know what? I still loved regardless.

Paige was childish, certainly, but people do even worse in these situations. She might have "hated" Mayson or what she represents, but I still think she gave in pretty quickly (sexually, of course). Sometimes, we act in a certain way and can't explain it, but a little introspection gives us the right path to follow if we are willing.

Mayson was really patient, and it takes a lot to act with such maturity, as compared to the one act of immaturity in her youth. This makes me wonder if this wasn't intentional from the author, to bring such stark contrast between the two protagonists.

About the editing, I have seen worse tbh. A lot has to be taken into account for a book to be published, and even with those mistakes, it didn't dampen the mood of the book for me. As I said, i have read books with worse editing so this was really "acceptable".

So as I said, this was a good book, and I'm looking forward to reading this again, despite having so many books on my TBR list.

Mayson and Paige have now met three times but at first neither of them realise that. The person each met in New Orleans has become impossible to match in each of their searches for lust and love. Paige knows Mayson is the child she hated when little but Mayson doesn't make that connection until prompted. Mayson knows Paige is the mysterious blogger X but Paige doesn't know she's knows! Yes, it's complicated but it doesn't feel it when you read.
Mayson, under the guise of a commentator on Paige's blog, woos Paige with a series of exciting and mysterious encounters which excite them both but is that all Paige wants? Mayson wants more but Paige's blog suggests she only wants the perfect sex she had in New Orleans and not the love and relationship Mayson wants.
The thrill of the chase is exciting, I got tingles when reading about their secret rendezvous in the cinema, the ice cream shop, the lingerie shop. I was urging Paige to work it out and grow up a bit, accept she wants more.
This is the first f/f I've read and really enjoyed it.

Disclaimer: A copy of this book was provided by the publisher for an honest review.

I'm DNF'ing this one. I like the sexy bits and the writing is good, but I can't stand the characters anymore. The causal use of "bitch" and "slut," not to mention Paige slut shaming other women, when she's an exotic dancer, pretty much ruined the book for me. Aside from Paige's constant shit talking about other women, I thought she was an interesting character. I was really intrigued by Mayson, but they both dropped into these gross stereotypes of competitive catty women from time to time, especially with each other, and made it hard for me to care about them. Their ridiculous fight was the last straw. If anyone treated me the way these two women treated each other in that scene they wouldn't be allowed within fifty feet of me, much less in my bed.

It's all really disappointing to see this much hating on women in a lesbian romance of all places. :/

There are some glaring and subtle similarities with Ms. Rose's earlier work; Kiss the Rain. Which isn't necessarily a bad thing because I enjoyed that book.

Anyway, I liked Visions better. It seems like an improved version of Kiss the Rain. The interaction of the lead characters is much more authentic. I certainly enjoyed their (Paige and Mayson) chemistry and banter more than I did Eve and Jodi (Kiss the Rain).

It's witty, funny and hot. Definitely hot. A very easy and enjoyable read. A fairy tale for adults. But instead of dance ball, you get a sex party. And instead of a glass slipper, its unadulterated and unforgettable sex that 'Prince' Charming needed to match.

The plot sounds very interesting too bad it was blatantly developed with a large dose of unbelievability required to really enjoy it. I like interesting stories with realistic characters & plausible content. Someone dances to put herself through school but has the resources & connections to take a trip to New Orleans where she enters a private party. BDSM parties go on everywhere but you cannot just waltz in! It's hard enough for BDSM not to be recognized for negative dominance without making characters & plot more plausible.

Wow what a read. I must admit this has been on my kindle for awhile and I simply chose it to read on a whim and I'm very glad I did. It ticked all my boxes. It was sexy, racy and suspenseful. I loved waiting to find out if they would make the connection and then if they would pick up where they left of years ago. It was funny in places and paced just right. I couldn't put it down once I started. The idea interested me with the masks and not really knowing who it was. A nice read if erotica is your thing.

This is a sweet read if you'd like to get swooned and escape from reality for a little while. There are a lot of "coincidences" in the book, from how Mayson and Paige started to cross path when they were kids until they finally came to know each other. One thing I'd say though, this book take you on a sexy, seductive journey and it's definitely hot! Not bad if you want a good, relaxing weekend read.

Page turner... can't put down

Wow, I always enjoy hearing both sides of the characters and this gave it. The development of why the two main characters did what they did, or felt from past and present kept me page turning. No complaints about this book, heck I want a sequel...But I will just read more by Larkin Rose.

Alright, here's my issue with Larkin Rose: She's got good ideas, she does, BUT the execution of those ideas is just asdfghjkl not good.

That's it.

I mean that's all it comes down to really.
