Vicki Bradford might work for the most ruthless sports agent in the business, but she's no quitter, even when she hits the lowest of career lows--acting as a glorified babysitter to NASCAR's disruptive newcomer, Brandon Burke. But his devilish grin and the gleam in his eye tell her he won't be so easy to tame....

Brandon isn't about to let his wild ways on and off the track be tempered by a buttoned-up stunner hired to make him behave. And he's not above a little pulse-pounding game of seduction to send her running. But one kiss ignites something powerful between them. And now it's a matter of how to avoid the crash and burn of two opposites steering recklessly toward love.

With over a million books in print, Pamela Britton likes to call herself the best known author nobody’s ever heard of. Of course, that’s begun to change thanks to a certain licensing agreement with that little racing organization known as NASCAR.

Nowadays it’s not unusual to hear her books being discussed by the likes of Jay Leno, Keith Olbermann, or Stephen Colbert. Flip open a magazine and you might read about her, too, in Sports Illustrated, Entertainment Weekly, or Southwest Airlines’ Spirit Magazine. Channel surf and you might see her on CNN, ESPN, ABC or NBC.

But before the glitz and glamour of NASCAR, Pamela wrote books that were frequently voted the best of the best by The Detroit Free Press, Barnes & Noble (two years in a row) and RT BOOKclub Magazine. She’s won numerous writing awards, including the National Reader’s Choice Award, and a nomination for Romance Writers of America’s Golden Heart and the Holt Medallion.

When not following the race circuit, Pamela writes full-time from her ranch in Northern California where she lives with her husband, daughter and, at last count, twenty-one four-legged friends.

If you'd like to chat with Pamela you can find her on her myspace where she loves to hangout with her readers.

Vicki really needs this job, not only to prove to her parents that she knows what's she doing, but not succeeding would mean getting fired and having to start all over again. So she is determined to change the image of Brandon Burke, a newcomer to the NASCAR world, a man who doesn't seem to care about what people say about him. Now Brandon isn't a popular person in the NASCAR world, as a matter of fact everyone hates him, and that doesn't help. But the worst thing is the attraction simmering between them.

Brandon has reasons for acting the way he does, good reasons and he can't let Vicki become close to him, for that would mean she learns his secrets and his shame. His childhood was truly horrendous, and he has the scars to prove it.

I like Brandon, he is a good guy doing his best to survive and protect himself. The way he slowly opens up to Vicki and begins to trust her is great. And he can admit that he was wrong. He does have problems accepting help, but that's understandable.

Vicki has chosen a path in her life that her parents don't approve and there's a strain in their relationship. I like that. And she's incredibly patient with Brandon, but she can fight with him when necessary.

I love the way Brandon proposed. :-)

Reading this on the foot of the silliest paranormal romance, I felt a slight relief at the normalcy and yet a little deflated as well! Can't win... lol

Brandon Burke is spinning out of control. His sponsor and agent are getting tired of his antics but what they didn't know is the true reason of him acting out as he does. His agent sent out a representative to babysit him and as luck would have it, she literally stumbled over his secret. Of course, she is the one that he has to fall head over heels for, the one who pushed all his buttons.

A fast love-story read. There wasn't too much pain even if protagonist's issue is sadly real in this modern world. Vicky was a very likeable female character; intelligent, independent, and feisty. There were some kissing but otherwise, clean romance.

On The Move by Pamela Britton
NASCAR Series Book 6
Vicky VanCleef wants to live an independent and exciting life instead of joining her dad’s law firm. What could be more exciting than working with sports figures as an agent? When she is asked to approach the rough and handsome bad boy of NASCAR she has excitement rolling through her in spades….is it because of her job or being near him?

Brandon Burke is much more than what people see. What they see is a jerk who drives his car with a selfish and reckless attitude, not caring what his actions cause the other drivers. The last thing he needs is the petite and plain looking woman his agent sends to keep him in line. On second thought maybe she’s exactly what he needs.

Once again the author writes an exciting story on and off the race track. Brandon struggles with a disability that he’s been able to hide over the years rather than get help for. His attitude stems from things much deeper than what the fans eye sees. Vicky sees the man rather than the race car driver and likes what she sees. Once again many of the previous characters are brought back for a cameo which I personally enjoy. There are seven books within this series.

This is the sixth book in the NASCAR series written by Pamela Britton and features Vicki VanCleef and Brandon Burke. Vicki is a sports agent who is assigned to Brandon in order to keep the bad boy out of further trouble. I've read several of these books and am beginning to wonder if all race car drivers are "bad boys". It seems so.

Vicki has disappointed her parents with a choice of jobs they don't approve of. Brandon had a terrible upbringing and is suffering from some of the choices he made in order to be a successful driver. He has a disability that he's been able to hide over the years, one he doesn't want Vicki to know about.

This is a classic "opposites attract" romance set in the world of NASCAR. It's pretty formulaic but still fun. Once again many of the previous characters are brought back for a cameo which I found interesting since I've read the previous novels. It was another fast, easy read for a challenge that needed an auto racing tag.

I was actually hesitant to read this book but it turned to be one of the good books I've read so far. It's a light, funny & fast! I'd probably recommend it to my friends. I'll definitely read more of Pamela Britton's books, she really does write well!
