For defense attorneys Zack Wilson and Terry Tallach, time is precious. Not just because they're paid by the hour. Or because their careers have taken off after a succession of high-profile cases. Or because a baffling, shocking serial murder case is threatening to tear Zack's family apart. For these two lawyers, time is precious because they have just walked into the wrong courtroom at the wrong time, where a man is shooting a gun into a crowd that includes Zack's innocent young son.
But until the last second, there's hope. While a woman detective desperately races through the city streets to stop a sadistic serial killer, while a puzzle of lies, madness, and brutal manipulation comes together, two men are out of time--for everything but the truth.... This book took almost a month to finish reading. Although some parts were intriguing, creative, and suspenseful the ending left me a bit underwhelmed. I wanted more of a twist...

An awesomely well written book that I would give more more stars if I was allowed!!! This books will keep you guessing who the killer is from beginning until the end!!!

20 years ago, a young man was sent to prison labelled a serial killer, although he has always claimed his innocence. Now he has two new lawyers who are trying to get his sentence over-turned, & while their client is in prison, there's a killer on the loose!!

This killer does the same thing that was done 20 years ago, funny thing is, the public doesn't know every little detail about the old crimes. But this new killer does!! Was the man in prison honestly wrongfully accused of the crimes of the past and the real serial killer is still out there? Or is there a copy cat on the loose?

There's a new detective in town and she's on the case now, she'll stop at nothing to find out!! Read "DIARY OF A SERIAL KILLER" & find out the exploding truth of what really happened 20 years ago to find out what's happening now!!!

A serial killer, two Handsome Lawyers (with two love interests),
four suspects, and five deaths. Add to that one innocent kid and one guilty grandfather, one naive neighbor and one jerk of an author and you get diary of a serial killer.
A good thriller mystery, it keeps you hanging till the very end.

I thoroughly enjoyed this suspenseful novel. In general, I like adventure and suspense but get a little tired of serial killers. However, I wanted to read more of Ed Gaffney's work, so I gave it a chance...and I'm glad I did. This is full of surprises, features well-realized characters, and has a very satisfying resolution.
I look forward to reading Gaffney's next book.

It kept my interest and was pretty intense, but quite a few plot holes were left untouched in the end. I can't decide whether I like who the killer was or not. I was expecting something very different and what I think would have been a more fun twist. Oh well. Still a fun read.

This book has it all; a woman cop, two good looking attorneys, lots of suspects, good guys, bad guys, a darling little boy, and lots of suspense.

Good storytelling but the "twist" didn't adequately set itself up through the storyline
