Vibrantly illustrated, and very original, what happens when your pig won’t oink, because he’s a…disco pig? Silly and fun, but also a good underlying message about being true to yourself and not following the herd.

A farmer is working with his animals , Cow, Chicken and Pig. Holding his clipboard, the farmer asks them to respond to his question.

A cow goes....?     MOO, replies Cow.

A chicken goes...? asks the farmer    CLUCK, says the chicken.

A pig goes...?

But Pig isn't going to play this game. His animals friends are bored with it too.

Pig bursts into dance and rhyme and says...   DAZZLEHANDS!

The farmer is shocked and tries again with patience. Cow and Chicken perk up a little. What is Pig doing?

The same questions come, and so does MOO and CLUCK, but....

Pig is all about his DAZZLEHANDS!

The farmer explodes, pleads, reasons, researches and begs some more, for Pig to OINK! And just when farmer finally believes Pig has finally got it....

From the bright pink cover to the inside spreads with Pig doing 'his thing', this picture book is dazzling! We all know the Cow goes... and the Chicken goes... game, but this pig has completely different ideas from expectations - doing what comes naturally to him. The farmer goes bonkers with this unexpected turn of events - not coping with change at all.

The ending is hilarious as finally everyone is on board with Pig's new way of doing things - or maybe not?

Young children will eat this up - especially if the one reading is prepared to mimic Pig in showmanship. DAZZLEHANDS!

Dazzlehands is a children's picture book written by Sacha Cotter and illustrated by Joh Morgan. The story is set on a farm where the Farmer is rehearsing Cow, Chicken, and Pig to say the sound they were known for and typically would. But, the pig is firm and certain. Instead of the typical "oink" he emphasized how he thinks he should sound despite the Cow and Chicken's submissively following the norms.

It was delightful to read with all the colors, the choice of words, and the comedic timing every time Pig would say otherwise. The certainty of Pig is admirable for a kid to stand on what they believe in "who" they are rather than be influenced by what people might think of him.

The only comment I can notice is the color choice. Hence, the flip side is that the target audience seems to be clearly defined which is for female kids. I wish there could be a version for male kids.

Nonetheless, the overall book is a fantastic book that pours creativity and giggles for both kids and parents.

This book made me want to dance. So vibrant and expressive and downright funny. This would be a fantastic storytime book and I've seen it's being used for kids parties. The illustrations are cute and funny, it has lots of colour and it's a funny story.

I loved this children’s picture book, it’s so bright and cheery about a pig who won’t say oink but would rather say Jazz Hands instead.
