I would probably give this book 3.5 stars. Lots of information in this book. It is a TCM manual for both personal and professional use. I can see this book being invaluable to practitioners but also a helpful reference for individuals. I like the layout of the book. There were a handful of things that I questioned and disagreed with (stopping the menses in women, only breastfeeding until 4 months, etc.), but I also appreciated the author's attempt at sticking to traditional teachings and not so much that which has been influenced and altered by allopathic medicine.
