After Boston experiences a seemingly inexplicable bio-terrorist attack, the Center for Disease Control's Dr. Dave Richards and Federal Bureau of Investigation Special Agent Paula Mushari once again join forces to uncover who is behind it. An obscure reference to a Dresden project found amid crash site evidence marks them both for execution. Paula and Dave are forced to leave Boston in the middle of the night and head to Washington, D.C., where they soon find that anyone they contact also becomes a target of assassins. When the daughter of the CDC's director is taken hostage, Dave and Paula come face to face with an evil that forces them to question the very nature of duty and service to country. With the help of one man, they learn the true meaning of dark operatives as they desperately try to determine the where and when for the next strike against the United States.

Yikes, what a roller coaster ride this book is! Bio-terrorism tends to scare the daylights out of me since it could conceivably happen. Of course this book is totally fiction but the what if scenario could keep me up for many nights to come.

When people start dying mysteriously in a small Massachusetts town, Dr. Davie Richards of the CDC (Center for Disease Control) is called in to help try and figure out where the outbreak started. He is known as an expert. He figures it out but can make no sense of how the heck it got there. He suddenly is sent to the jungle in South America to figure out why tribal people there are getting sick although again there is no rhyme or reason. He does figure this out and how to correct the problem! A massive earthquake strikes and suddenly he finds himself back in the states working with his protege and girlfriend FBI agent Paula Musari. A Framingham, Mass actuarial firm's building is infiltrated and many die from the bio engineered chemical released into its air duct.

From that point forward it is a life and death struggle to find out who is behind the bio-terrorism--Heaven help us if this ever becomes truth rather then fiction! Definite 5 Star read but be prepared for who is actually behind all this------no of course I am not going to tell you--that would ruin this story!White Rogue

Dr. Dave Richards works for the Center for Disease Control. His job had taken him all over the world fighting bio-terrorism. His latest case has him puzzled. It is dealing with MRSA. However he can not figure out how the victim contracted MRSA. Luckily for Dave he has a secret weapon to help him. Her name is Special Agent Paula Mushari.

I did like this book. The subject matter is a scary one. More scary than some of the horror books I have read. However I did not feel the intensity levels spike high. I wanted to feel like I was sitting on the edge of my seat the whole time and this did not happen. The action was mild. On the other hand, I did like Dave and Paula. They share a good working relationship. With all of the numerous authors involved in the writing of this book, I thought they all did a good job. I could not tell where one left off and the next one picked up.

Dr. Dave Richards from the CDC and FBI Agent Paula Mushari from White Sleeper are teamed up again. They are in a race against time to find the perpetrators of a bioterrorist attack. It is an attack of MRSA that when infected the person can die within a few hours and it appears to be released indiscriminately. MRSA is an infection that is resistant to antibiotics. As they get more into their investigation, anyone they ask for assistance are also at risk from the assassins.

Biological warfare and bioterrorism is not just something from a book, it is an all too real threat that can happen at any time and anywhere and has. The book starts out in 1962 with the deaths of a few people from an infectious disease. It appears that this was a way to attack the Soviets during the Cold War should they attack the US. I liked the caption on the Part One page that said "The Primary Duty of Government Is To Not Harm It's People". This is the way that it should be but is it?? Will Dave and Paula find the criminals in time?? White Rogue is one of those books that is hard to put down and the reader is drawn into the story, a definite thriller that really kept my attention. For a book written by three different authors is amazing in my opinion, how well it all comes together. I do think that the reader should read White Sleep first so that the characters can grab your attention. I highly recommend this series and I really hope that there will be another.

I didn't realize when I first started reading this book that it was the second in the series. After reading "White Rogue", I am going to have to go back and read the first book, "White Sleeper". I want to learn more about Dr. David Richards and FBI Special Agent Paula Mushari's beginnings as a team.

Overall, I really enjoyed this book. The characters were well developed and the main characters, Richards and Mushari, work together well as well as having an interesting person dynamic. I also found the character of Smith to be interesting. The story line was well written and believable. Actually, what scares me is that this could have actually happened and could still happen today. Today, we live in a world where the threat of bio-terrorism is very real but in 1962, when this book is set, this was not the norm.

David and Paula are in a race to find both the biological weapon and the people responsible for the first small attacks and for the main weapon that has still to be released on the United States. As they look for answers, they and everyone that they talk with about the case are put at risk. Will they be able to stop the biological attack or will they be stopped by those responsible for the biological weapon?

I look forward to seeing where this team goes in the future.
