This story lack well rounded characters as they suffered with so many issues from family drama to no self esteem. There is a message of faith and forgiveness with overcoming being possible when God is in the picture.
This book is a nice read. I enjoyed the characters. It was almost anti-climactic in that the two characters shared a kiss early on in the story. Solving their personal problems became the climax as opposed to finally realizing their love and getting together. The couple was together for the whole story. I've read a lot of Love Inspired and this was one of the first ones like this.
However, the writing was good and the characters were admirable, so all in all it was a good read. Just different.
This has to be the preachiest book I have read. The main characters lack self-esteem, have no confidence, and have little chemistry. I have read other books by the same author and have enjoyed them, but sadly this is not one of them.
