If you go out with Taylor Swift, she writes a song about you.
If you go out with Karla Alexander, she makes a quilt out of what you see.
I loved how Karla tells about the inspiration for each quilt. They are all amazing but beyond me just yet.
"Road to Nowhere" is my absolute favorite in this book. It looks kind of like a road map and is very intriguing to study.
This stack and shuffle business was hard for me to understand at first, but you kind of "get the rhythm" of it as you read each set of easy to understand directions.
Something unusual that i have not come across before is Karla's steps to follow AFTER your quilt is completed.
Worth your time to read this one.
2026-Revisiting this book because I'd like to make the quilt on the cover!! It's called Paint Chips. I have a large print fabric that I'd like to pull the solid colors out of and make this quilt. I'd put the large print fabric on the back. I'd like to do a facing to finish the sides instead of binding.
