Corruption

Rate this book
Renegade biker. Drug runner. Recovering addict. Wanted by the Southeastern Narcotics Bureau. But he isn’t a crook, he’s the law.

SNB Agent Bo Schollenberger’s solved his cases using his brains and not a gun, and with his partner, not alone. Now he’s handed a tough new case involving designer drugs that turn users violent. One false move could end his life as he immerses himself into a motorcycle gang to locate the source. His fate depends on how well he can impersonate someone else. Someone named Cyrus Cooper.

Cyrus is everything Bo Schollenberger isn’t, including the badass enforcer for a smuggling ring. He establishes pecking order with his fists and doesn’t take shit from anybody, not even the undercover agent who comes to help his case.

Simon “Lucky” Harrison’s always been the best, whichever side of the law he was on. Former trafficker turned SNB agent, he damned well ought to be undercover in this motorcycle gang, instead of hanging around the office going crazy with new policies, new people, and “inter-departmental cooperation” that sticks him in a classroom. Yet he’s passed over for the SNB’s biggest case in decades in favor of the rookie who shares his bed. A man Lucky thought he knew.

When survival depends on a web of tangled lies, lines blur, worlds collide, and a high stakes game turns friend to foe. Lucky knows the difference between Bo the agent and Cyrus the outlaw, but does Bo?

You will know Eden Winters by her distinctive white plumage and exuberant cry of “Hey, y’all!” in a Southern US drawl so thick it renders even the simplest of words unrecognizable. Watch out, she hugs!

Driven by insatiable curiosity, she possibly holds the world’s record for curriculum changes to the point that she’s never quite earned a degree but is a force to be reckoned with at Trivial Pursuit.

She’s trudged down hallways with police detectives, learned to disarm knife-wielding bad guys, and witnessed the correct way to blow doors off buildings. Her e-mail contains various snippets of forensic wisdom, such as “What would a dead body left in a Mexican drug tunnel look like after six months?” In the process of her adventures, she has written over thirty gay romance novels, lost count of novellas and short stories, has won Rainbow Awards, was a Lambda Awards Finalist, and lives in terror of authorities showing up at her door to question her Internet searches.

When not putting characters in dangerous situations she’s cosplaying for children's charities or hanging out at the farm being a mother, grandmother, and vegetarian.

Her natural habitats are hardware stores and on the backs of motorcycles.

4.5 “Every single inch of me, in whatever way you’ll have me” stars

“Damn it, Lucky. You’re worth every exasperating moment, even if you don’t agree with me. As much as I’d like to push you off a cliff sometimes, I can’t stop loving you, and believe me, I’ve tried. Well, not the pushing off the cliff, maybe, but the loving you thing. Every single time you’ve nearly convinced me that you’re an unredeemable asshole, the clouds lift and I get to peek at the good man you try hard not to be.”

I haven’t been able to really got lost in a book in months and it takes me days before I finish reading a book or even pick up a book to read. I read book 2 and 3 of this series in the last 24 hours. I think thats enough to tell you how much I love this series, it just pulled me in so much and never let me go. There wasn’t a moment where I wasn’t invested in the characters and didn’t want to know what would happen next.

Brief summary
This is the continuing story of Bo and Lucky. They’ve been together for about a year and Bo is ready to settle down with Lucky and wants to make plan for the future but Lucky keeps refusing it because he still has a massive amount of doubts and commitment issues. Also because of their job, there is a big side plot about them going undercover in a morotcycle gang to try and take it down.

First, god do I love these characters so much. Lucky is still kind of an asshole, ok he’s mostly still an asshole but I still love him to death. My favourite type of character is a good grumpy asshole and he’s the perfect grumpy asshole. I love when he pushes his guard down and shows his feelings for Bo, it’s just the best. Bo is just the best. Bo is probably the most patient and giving man of all time and I love him so much for it. I have no idea how Bo is still this patient with Lucky, but Lucky is finally starting to deserve it.

Second, I adore Bo and Lucky together. These guys are perfectly suited and they balance each other so well. I like how they’re better at different things and that it’s them coming together and working together that gives the best results. I love how much these guys support each other. I love how they always want to make the other feel better when something happens. Also the sex scenes are still damn hot in these books, they just keep getting better and better. These books made it so easy to see why Lucky and Bo belong together.

Third, the relationship progression was just so good in this one. I loved how we got to see where Lucky was coming from and his doubts and how we got to see him trying to overcome his fears and be everything Bo wants and needs. I really loved how much Lucky tried to better himself in this book. I really adore seeing how much Lucky is growing and changing through out the books, his character progression is just perfect and all of his actions are justified and easy to understand. I always get so happy when Lucky achieves a new milestone. Also, I love seeing Lucky grown and seeing him commit to Bo and to their future. These guys went trough so much to get where they are now and i’m just glad to be part of the journey.

Fourth, i’m now so invested in these characters that I cried a lot during this book, which is very not cool and I blame Eden Winters for making me love these two assholes with a lot of issues that makes them take bad decisions that keep making me cry.

Fifth, the side plot related to their job was my favourite one so far. I loved it so much. I really loved seeing them undercover, expecially Bo, he was so great. I loved seeing how much the job took a tool on them, it felt so realistic. But mostly it was just so much fun to read about, I really loved this part of the book.

I love this series so much and I definitely will continue reading it very soon.

”I’m fucking whoever the hell you are, ‘cause you’re all the same to me…And you can consider yourself fucking Lucky.”

Damn it all to hell. I wanted to say a lot of vulgar and trashy things right now, because I held off reading this book in fear of not liking what was to come. I mean, Lucky and Bo had a pretty nice ending previously, and now there’s trouble in paradise? So yes, I was stepping on eggshells deciding if I wanted to read this, or plug fingers into my ears while shouting, “lalalalala” to drown out my consciousness. But I couldn’t fight off the sexy half naked devil wearing assless chaps, who sits on my shoulder. And now with images of motorcycles to boot!

So I am very surprised that this series isn’t more popular. I think it’s the premise of dealing with real life pharmaceuticals that throws people off. For me, it was the opposite. As a pharmacist myself, the book blurb was like waving bacon to a starving southern man. While the plot of drug diversion is important in the series, I always felt the books were more character driven. If you’ve made it this far into the series, then all I can say is this: if you’ve liked/loved Lucky and Bo up to this point, then Corruption won’t disappoint.
The story is told from Lucky’s perspective, and boy does he make me want to get naked sometimes! He continues to have that bad-boy attitude laced with enough sarcasm and smarts to make you snicker and at inappropriate times (and isn’t it cute how he has to stand on tip toes to kiss Bo on the lips?). What I liked best about Corruption was its exploration of Lucky’s hesitance to bring his relationship to the next step with Bo. While many M/M stories tend to have one of the MCs hesitate due to their own insecurities of love (i.e. “do I really love him?”), Eden Winters makes it clear that Lucky will always love Bo. He just has problems communicating with words, and the goals that Bo wants in life were things that Lucky never dreamed possible. So yes, there’s a lot of self-exploration in this book. And Bo has to go undercover where new demons (or old, depending on how you see it) surface as he battles with his dissociative state of mind.

But in the midst of all this introspective exploring, that doesn’t mean we don’t have action going on. There’s a supplier of bath salts known as Corruption that needs to be found, while new plot twist makes it clear that the series does not end with this book.

The book can be emotionally painful at times, but I find myself loving Lucky and Bo even more (is that possible?). By the end, I can see some pretty bad things looming across the horizon, but these two have never been closer than ever before. I will be waiting with much anticipation for the next book!

I’m seriously getting addicted to this series staring Lucky, the ultimate but so lovable asshole and the sweet and smart Bo, two unusual Narc agents with lots of baggage from their past.

The author left us at the end of Collusion with Lucky finally saying the L word **gasp** but still weary of commitment.
Lucky and Bo decided it was best to hide their love affair to all their Narc colleagues but keep privately diving into their relationship at a very different pacing. Where Lucky pays more attention to his food habits, cleans up his place, gets fond of the luck statue Bo offered him and agrees to spend more nights at Bo’s place **yeah, he is that in love**, Bo dreams about losing condoms, buying a house and raising kids **yeah, very different scale**. Bo may be a very patient man, not sure he won’t throw the towel though. And Lucky is at loss about what to do.

And the new mission Bo is assigned to is not helping. After spending some time in undercover training, showing that Lucky’s mentorship is no more needed, Bo has a new assignment : infiltrating as “Cy” a biker gang selling “Corruption”, a new drug creating havoc in the streets and to discover who the suppliers are. Meanwhile, Lucky has to stay in Atlanta where he is promoted to train “newbies”.
However, the mission takes an unexpected turn and Lucky is being sent to help Bo. After so many months of separation, how Bo will welcome Lucky ? And will Bo still be Bo or get consumed by his personae Cy, the hot-as-fuck outlaw biker ?

I so love the way the relationship develops and how Lucky deals with having Bo in his life (as well as having “Cat Lucky” in his life…such a funny parallelism). All the past circumstances have made of Lucky an asshole and a nightmare in socializing but deep down, he’s reliable and thoughtful. And, OMG, when these guys can find a few moments to enjoy themselves, it’s scorching hot.

But what left me breathless in this instalment : the twist at the end of this mission. Trouble in “paradise” guaranteed. I need to get my hands on the next book…like yesterday !!! Fan-girling in the air…

Holy smokes...ok...recovering...

So, on with the review!  Corruption is book 3 of the Diversion series by Eden Winters and I'm a fan! I've really enjoyed the first 3 books (and yay...there will be more! (well, at least 1 more from what I've heard!))  The characters are fun (well, Lucky is fun, Bo is HOT...and loving...and vulnerable...*sigh*) and the storylines are always engaging and have me suckered in.  This one was no exception.

Bo is sent to train and eventually go deep undercover in a drug ring.  A la Zane (Cut & Run) during his Miami days, it's a dark place and time for Bo...and he's gone for awhile.  This leaves Lucky home, worried, stressed.  Just as the "I love you"s had been exchanged, they're separated.  I, too, was home worried, stressed.  Bo...well, I just don't trust that he can take care of himself without Lucky at his back.  But apparently, we don't know all there is to know about Bo.

Book 3 is, for me, the best of the bunch to date.  The undercover story is great.  But even better is the growth, the uncertainty, the insecurity, and the strengthening of Lucky and Bo's relationship.  They face a lot of questions and doubt and eventually come out stronger in the end because of it all.  I love Lucky's quirkiness, which is borderline insanity in this book, but still so endearing.  And Bo really shines in this book...stepping out of his boring straight-man role.

I wish for more people to be reading this series. It's not the kind that I think will totally knock anyone's socks off, but it's one of those solid, entertaining, glad-I'm-reading-it series and I'd love for you all to give it a go...

I just realized that this series quietly sneaked up on me to become one of my favorites with different, smart story lines, frustratingly awesome characters (I'm looking at you Lucky! o.O ) and some steamy chemistry. Ok, so I haven't said anything about this particular book...read the blurb, it's pretty spot on and there are some nice reviews out there too.

I will mention that the chaps are back...

...and undercover Bo as biker Cy? Badass, indeed!

Yep, with three back to back 5-star ratings I have to admit to loving this series to bits. Anyone who has followed and enjoyed the series should like Corruption as well.

Thanks a million to Mandy who selflessly searched for and found my vision of Bo! THANK YOU, MANDY! :D

Also for you cat people, Cat Lucky was pretty darn cool too.

I set out to write a stand alone novel three years ago, and yet Diversion has now spawned a series, being followed by Collusion and now Corruption. Bad boy Lucky has grown on me, but in this installment, he just might be eclipsed by his mild-mannered partner.

I'm a big fan of motorcycles, and relived my own youth in writing the riding scenes. If you blink you'll miss it, but the 1977 Super Glide mentioned is a tribute to the black and chrome beauty I used to ride in the early eighties. I still own a riding jacket, chaps, and boots.

The next installment is tentatively entitled "Manipulation", in which the mystery man from Corruption is revealed. *Cue evil cackle* I hope you enjoy this continuation of Bo and Lucky's story.

I really liked these books when I read them, but I am loving them on audio. Darcy Stark's narration is just phenomenal; the accents are great and the performance balances the story-telling with just the right level of drama.

With each book I get to re-live Bo and Lucky figuring their shit out, falling in love...and the romance isn't overshadowed by the case. Like I said in the review for the ebook version, I really wish we had Bo's POV for this installment given he was the one undercover (maybe a novella at some point, please, Eden?) but hearing Lucky's distress at the danger Bo was constantly in, at not being constantly in contact, really developed the character. Cracked that shell right open so we could see the creamy nougat center.

Can't wait to start the next one...but I may hold off because I need to have the audio for all of them and I hate to have too big a gap waiting for #5-7!

Amazing! This one really pack a punch. Three books in and I find myself more invested than ever with Lucky and Bo.
They are solid now, yet Lucky can be an arse about commitment and his inaction might just drive Bo away, Bo who lay himself bare and told Lucky what he wants for a future. Lucky deserve a few tight slap for hurting our dear Bo.

This suspense kick up a few notch this time with Bo going undercover into a biker gang as Cyrus Cooper. Damn, never knew Bo's alter ego can be such a hot MF. Anyway, despite me finding Bo new personality kinda badass, I miss the kind and caring Bo who helps old lady cross the road.
Before long, Lucky get to join in the action too and with them both together, they are such a force to be reckoned with. I can't wait to dive into the next book to see her how things unravel.

These two men continue to be an interesting, hot, and unique couple. This book has to be read in series order, but the first two books are also very worth reading - fans of sexy, complex men, and romance with a well-developed law-enforcement plot will want to start at the beginning with Diversion.

Lucky opens this book in a very unsettled frame of mind, both more in love with Bo than ever and at the same time fighting hard against anything that smacks of commitment. Bo, meanwhile, is ramping up his commitments, both to his job as a law-enforcement agent, and in his relationship with Lucky. This puts them at odds, and generates a lot of heated conflict. At times, Lucky's reactions are smack-to-the-head annoying, but they fit with his larger than life persona. There is some good humor in this series, with quotable lines.

I enjoyed Bo in this one - just when I was thinking he was too good to be true, some of the quirks and fractures in him came out to play. His talents undercover are not as benign as they might appear. He throws all of himself into becoming Cy, the drug-dealing biker, but putting Cy aside isn't nearly as easy.

There is more relationship depth and development in this book, and some new facets of both men are revealed. In a couple of places the plot was a bit of a stretch, but I enjoy thriller-style stories and am willing to make some allowances. A personal twist for Lucky near the end makes it clear there will be a fourth book, which I will very happily read.

Holy hell what a ride! I was hooked from the first book with these two men and the second book was a trip and a half but this one. This story has me a confirmed addict.

Bo & Lucky are definitely a drug of choice for me and yes, all the drug references are intentional. If you're familiar with this series you probably figured it out right away. If not it's because of what these men do for a living.

Our MC's work for a drug enforcement agency referred to as the SNB as a result of some poor decisions made in life they get to take a walk on the wild side in the name of law enforcement and it does get wild at times.

Corruption gives us a closer look at Bo a far more complex man than we've been shown before and some real eye openers for Lucky who is forced to take a deeper look at himself and the man he's come to consider his partner in all aspects of his life.

This could all end here, but I really, really hope not and I hope the wait for what comes next won't be too long because I'm pretty sure that what comes next for Bo and Lucky is going to be even more intense than things have been so far. I just hope our boys can come through it in one piece and together.

I like the way these two men are growing as individuals and as a couple. If what is hinted at in Corruption is a tease for the future, then sign me up for the trip.

3.5. The writing was still the main niggle here. There was several tense situations that should have kept me at the edge of my seat and I couldn't visualize anything because of the writing style. The relationship remains great but there was too much contrived angst at the beginning for me. They did not talk enough and this lack of communication created angst (obviously). Yes, Lucky is a commitment-phobe (kind of) and they discussed not using condoms anymore which was difficult for him. BUT I feel that Bo did not tell him what he wanted enough and then . They really supported each other throughout though and that was nice. Lucky is improving but I really feel that he is not fully at fault on this one. I'm taking a break from the series but I'll get back to it for sure (I already bought books 4 to 6 so..)

You need to read this series in order in order to fully experience this book. The first book is Diversion, and the second book is Collusion. They’re both great books. Get them, read them, and then come back to this one.

The first thing I need to do is mention this cover. I’m not sure I’ve ever seen a cover hotter than Bo draped over a motorcycle.

While I have always enjoyed this series, I have had my problems with the romance between Bo and Lucky in the past. I’m probably not going to make any new friends by saying this, but I have never been a fan of Lucky. For most of this series I have been trying to figure out why Bo sticks around. Lucky is very entertaining and I enjoy reading about him, but he is not a person I would ever want to be in a relationship with. His emotional walls and feigned nonchalance are too much for me. Bo, on the other hand, is fantastic and I adore him. I was so excited when I saw that Bo was going to have his chance to step out of Lucky’s shadow and prove himself an equal in this book.

It was even better than I expected. Bo not only stepped out of the shadows, he was amazing. He has always had a backbone, but he more often than not would bow down to Lucky. I loved seeing him stand his ground and demand the respect he has long deserved. It threw Lucky for a loop and I enjoyed every second of it.

Bo was given the undercover assignment of going deep into a drug running biker gang. Lucky had to stand on the sidelines and watch the man he loves go it alone. He had every confidence in Bo’s abilities, but the total lack of control was enough to drive him crazy with worry. There were two things about this book which made it my favorite of the series.

1. The investigation itself was compelling. I really got into it in a way I haven’t in the past books. Bo had to transform into someone completely different from himself. He went from the mild-mannered, scholarly, overachiever, to a badass biker more than willing to take down anyone challenging his dominance. The stress and danger Bo was pushed into only added to my excitement over the investigation.

2. Seeing Lucky out of his element. Lucky has always held the reins in their relationship and Bo has respected the boundaries Lucky set. I had a hallelujah moment when Bo stood up for himself. Finally, Lucky was forced to take a long look at the amazing man he was at risk of losing if he didn’t starting giving a bit more. I felt I finally got to see a softer part of Lucky, and I was able to identify and connect with him. It was fantastic and I loved it.

Corruption is a perfect mix of investigation, adventure, romance, and hot sex. I loved this book! Recommended

Holy but this series pushes my buttons. In book 3, Bo goes DEEP undercover as an enforcer/Sergeant at Arms for a motorcycle gang entrenched in the illegal drug trade. Bo ... leather chaps ... a vision in black and chrome on a 2011 Harley Road King. *pant pant* Need I say more? Bo as Cy = Wowza.

Lucky was especially infuriating this time around. Not because of his snarky comments (although there were those too) but because of his inability to say anything heartfelt. Bo is thoughtful and loving. And although I love Lucky, I hurt for Bo because Lucky is hard to be in love with.

Lastly, what a set-up for book four. I can't wait!!!

Bottom line: Hot damn but Bo is off-the-charts smokin'.

Darcy Stark is the perfect narrator for this series, and Redemption has just come out on audio too. I just love his interpretation of Lucky, Bo and Walter and Johnson has a wonderful Texan twang. Great audio.

4.5 stars. Loved it, but hope Lucky pulls his head out of his a**e soon. Bo is worth so much more than Lucky is giving at present...and I'm really sorry it's taken me nearly 6 years to read this 😔.

Lucky & Bo will always be one of my favorite couples. This book solidified that. Just how equally vulnerable/guarded Lucky is, and dear god how amazing is Bo. I really can't wait to see their HEA. Bring on the next book!

So at this point, I am very invested and am plowing through the series. It's getting and better for me. I have even gotten used to the narrator's voice for Bo.

I am very concerned about Bo's mental health at this point though. He may be strong but he also gets too involved too easily and now it seems he is disassociating to protect himself which may make him safer for his job but I can't think that it will be conducive to a happy life in the long run. He is definitely pulling away from Lucky emotionally even though Lucky is only getting in deeper with him except that he won't tell him that.

The star of this whole damn series though is Walter! I love him. He is amazing at his job being exactly what he needs to be when needed! Fatherly, stern, crafty, and seemingly one step ahead of everyone. I am just glad he is a good guy because he would be downright deadly if he wasn't.

Yep, I'm addicted and worried for our pair. The more I have gotten into the series the more refreshing I find the flaws of the MCs even if they are infuriating! It's a very different dynamic than I am used to and not a typical alpha/alpha pairing which I am really enjoying.

Audiobook review

4,5 stars

If you haven’t read the first two books in the series, you really should go back doing that. It’s not that you won’t be able to keep up with this book if you haven’t but you’d miss the chance of getting to know Lucky and Bo; the significance of Achy Breaky Heart, why Lucky has such a hard time with affection or feelings really. So while the story in this book might stand on its own, Bo and Lucky don’t. At least not to the same extent. On a side note, I just looked the song up and I have to wonder at the miracle that Lucky is still alive, that none of his partners didn’t just break down and strangled the man. But I guess that miracles are miracles for a reason ;)

Corruption can kind of be divided into two parts. The first part is where Bo gets undercover training – and not from Lucky, but from an actor. Well, a former NYPD cop as well, but Lucky decides to ignore that part. Lucky too is sent to these seminars, or classes if you will, ones he very reluctantly attends. He soon realises that not only does he see the results in Bo’s behaviour he also reluctantly starts to pay attention to what’s being taught. That maybe there is some value to what O’Donoghue is teaching after all.

This part is also where we have the most interaction between our two men. Bo is trying to take them a step forward in their relationship and Lucky freaking out (as usual) about it. Nothing ever moves quickly with Lucky, we’re talking relationships and feelings here – when he’s on a case he never slows down for a second. Anyway, he’s careful, mulling things over, but he’s also scared and often oblivious (in an endearing way). I admire Bo’s patience dealing with Lucky, because often he’s ending up getting hurt or at the very least dented. There is a connection between them and I love to see them working on it, I believe in them because they feel real. It’s not perfect or flawless, but a bit messy with its ups and downs.
Quote… I love you. Nothing's going to change that. But sometimes loving someone isn't enough.

For the second part Bo is sent on an undercover assignment. A new drug, called Corruption, is hitting the streets and SNB together with some other agencies want to find the source of it and shut it down. It’s a long-term assignment and a dangerous one and for the duration there is no contact with any one he knows, including Lucky. When Bo’s handler and ends up in the hospital and their contact killed Lucky is sent in as a driver to assist Bo in the operation. Only when he gets there Bo is so far undercover that even Lucky has a hard time recognising him, making him wonder if those classes worked a little too good.

The second part has a faster pace to it, it’s more intense, darker and grittier. No fuzzy feelings or talks about relationships. The focus is on getting intel without getting made, but more importantly getting out alive. Reading stories like these makes me appreciate the men and women doing these kinds of jobs, going undercover, risking their lives, never really being able to just be themselves for a while. In the interactions between Bo/Cy and Lucky you can see how much Bo is struggling, what it costs him to become Cy, losing bits of himself, a bit of that shine he’s always had.

Darcy Stark was great, just like with the previous two books in this series. I especially liked his interpretations for Bo and Cy. The same yet not. It really came through in the narration, you heard and felt the difference. Felt Lucky’s worry over it. There’s just something about Darcy Stark and this series that just clicks for me.

This book ends with a bit of a cliffhanger, not one that you’ll lose your mind over (for which I’m eternally grateful), but still one you need the answers to. I hope the wait for Manipulation isn’t too long.

4.5 stars ! Despite Lucky’s best efforts *except not really LOL*, he gets a little more open to caring about people every book. It’s scary for him, but loving Bo is changing him. He’s still an asshole, but he wants to be better, both for Bo and himself.

And whoa, what a different side of Bo this was. It made me a little afraid for him, no kidding. But I loved the way that both Bo and Lucky turned to each other for support and strength when they needed it. Lucky still has trouble saying it but he’s getting so much better at showing it.

The crime and investigation was damn well done, tense and nail-biting. There were a few places that I was genuinely concerned that one of our guys might not make it. And now that it seems Lucky’s past is coming into his present, there’s no telling what might happen. I’m loving this series and Lucky and Bo are firmly in my favorites. Definitely looking forward to the next one. ❤️

I love Bo. I have since Eden introduced him. This go around, Bo really steps up his game. He's not hiding in Lucky's shadow. He's growing as a character and his own man.

Unfortunately, with growth comes change. And some of these changes made me want to cry. Lucky is so resistant to things that he is on the verge of watching it all walk away from him.

Will Lucky finally figure it out? Will he let Bo walk off into the sunset without him?

The third installment will answer those questions, but will also open up a whole new can of worms for the fourth book.

(It's okay to be jealous that I got to read it already. I would be, too.)

What a momentous decision for Lucky at the end. Not that we did't know he would go for what Bo offers, not that we aren't sure how much he loves that guy! But it took him so long to work his way through his feelings, to be sure, to look at himself and ask what he would want.

Lucky is still full of insecurities, full of self doubt when it comes to understanding why Bo loves him. I loved the whole 'different shades of Bo' theme, and darn didn't I find badass Bo hot!

Such a satisfying end, but no doubt Bo and Lucky's emotions will be put through the grinder in the next book. We all know who is back, don't we?

Fab series. Totally loving it!

I still liked this 3rd book, but the plot of this one wasn't as good as the others. I couldn't quite believe the Cy vs Bo's personality thing, and I also found it strange as if they were talking about Bo having a double personality(that's what the author made me think, the way they wrote it), when he was just acting as Cy for his undercover mission. I like mystery and detective/police themed books, but this one is losing its grip on my attention. I think I need a pause and then continue. I still rated it 4 stars, because I like Lucky and Bo together.

Great news for fans of the Diversion series, and in particular installment 3, Corruption.

Jeremy Wilderson (Jerry) is getting his own book! Look for Petty Crimes, coming soon. And yes, Bo and Lucky will appear, but as secondary characters.

This couple finally got me hooked into their relationship.
Unlike Bo, Lucky seems determined not to fully engage in their relationship, even though they said the L word at the end of the second book.
Therefore, while the course of their relationship isn't entirely clear, Bo is going undercover as a gang member in an MC.
And there comes the badass alter ego of Bo, Cyrus Cooper!
After months of separation, Lucky is being sent to help Bo and seeing this new facet of him, Lucky begins to question himself about his commitment to their relationship.
And now that it seems Lucky’s past is catching up wtih his present and that they are still in undercover, there’s no telling what might happen next.
