This deeply spiritual book will guide readers on a journey toward Realization of the Christ-consciousness that exists within each of us.
In Finding Freedom Through Illumination , Dr. Nuckols divides the journey into three sections, each defining a part of the process that leads to Realization—the accumulation of more Light. Dr. Nuckols explains that, as we gather more Light, our worldview changes and we see the world differently, and while our thoughts, feelings, and behaviors change, we become more intuitive and begin to understand that all of life is an opportunity for spiritual growth.
Step by step, Dr. Nuckols illuminates the concept that Realization (sometimes called enlightenment, satori, kensho , samadi or moksha ) is about becoming one with our Creator. Every spiritual tradition, including Alcoholics Anonymous, Hinduism, and Buddhism, gives direction for spiritual growth—all change our worldview and all have been shown to enhance levels of spiritual consciousness. Spending time in silence, solitude, prayer, contemplation, and meditation allows for intuitive change that alters our worldview causing the defects of character of the narcissistic ego to melt away. Ultimately, this is freedom, this is illumination, and this is spiritual growth.

I loved this spiritual book by Cardwell C. Nuckols. It is full of guidance, encouragement, and inspiration for those on The spiritual Path. Certain parts or passages of this book may seem cryptic or unclear; I believe this is for a couple different reasons. First of all, the topic of enlightenment is impossible to accurately convey in words. It must be experienced, and Is beyond description, and so all attempts to communicate it in words or on paper will never fully succeed. Secondly, the amount that people understand in regards to communications about spiritual awakening is always in direct proportion to their ability, in other words, how spiritually "awake," they already are. So to some, spiritual information will sound like nonsense, or be confusing, while to others, it will be understood as ineffable pearls of spiritual wisdom. "The lips of wisdom are closed, save for to the ears of understanding." Only those who have "eyes to see and ears to hear" can truly appreciate these things.
I am very grateful to Cardwell C. Nuckols for pouring his great wisdom into this wonderful book. It has given me pieces of the puzzle that will stay with me and guide me forever. I am especially grateful for the advice he gives in regards to some of the reactions we can experience from others as we become more illumined. This has helped to shed light on some of the experiences I've been having, and has encouraged me to stick to the Narrow Path. Thank you, Mr. Nuckols, for your guidance, and for contributing your love to this world.
