And just how I’d always known it would be if I lost her, I couldn’t fucking breathe without her.
For the first time, I allowed myself to cry over the loss of air.

What an adorable end, however, I want more, because I felt that the ending didn't do us justice… I mean, it had all build up for the final book, but I felt that the final book didn't give me what I wanted. Caleb and Gianna broke up like three times, the first time breaking my heart..
"Salty tears welled, changing the blus into an ocean of pain."

Everything that happened to Gianna in the end of book #2? I didn't feel it. I mean, we cannot put ourself in her situation, however I would have liked to actually know how she felt, understand her more deeply and join her in the journey to recovery, but we didn't get that. All we got was a closed of Gianna who hurt my baby, Caleb... So yes, I want more. I wish it were Caleb who got her through all the pain, but we didn't get that. She just pushed him away, but fortunately Caleb isn't one for giving up.
"Don't listen to your head, listen to your heart. Are you my girl?"

I love Caleb even more in this book, which I didn't think was possible. Gianna however, lost my respect a bit. I mean I understand her reasons for doing what she did, but still, she should've put herself in Calebs shoes so she can see it from his POV.
"...she was just a body. You're my soul."

I also wanted more form the end. Yes we got a happy ending, but it happened too fast. I wanted to see how they were at college together, how they were when they started working in real life, what would their work be? Children? We just got a short glint in the future, but that was it. I felt a bit...robbed?
"...that little room was a cell containing my worst crime."

But in the end the book was good. Pain-filled, laughter, love and friendship. I'm sad the journey is over. I'll miss Caleb like hell , Gianna too, but mostly Caleb. He was the ultimate young bad boy. I do hope April will be kindly enough to give us some short stories, letting us know where Caleb and Gianna stand... ;)
"...letting go of Gianna would be like taking my last breath. And I was too young to die."

Rate: 3.5 stars.

Toxic Bad Boy (Beware of Bad Boy #3)
Toxic Bad Boy
by April Brookshire

My rating: 3 of 5 stars

This book was amazing when it started out but as the book series continued i felt like the author struggled a bit to maintain the level of drama that the first book had and was sorry to see that since am all about the drama...which says a lot.

ANYHU....

As for the characters, they also struggled to maintain my interest and felt that by the 3rd book they had lost their appeal and i was sorry to see that considering how i loved Caleb.
All in all it was a fairly good book.

Not the best book in the series. I wanted to like it but I just couldn't. I know that Gianna had a traumatic event that caused her to not want to get physical with Caleb but she didn't have to lie to him. I felt that most of the book was just misunderstandings that could have been avoided if Gianna told the truth. I don't understand why the author brought Hailey back. I thought we had moved past this. I at least thought Caleb would have. I also don't understand why they brought Josh back. I could have done without all that drama.

What I did enjoy was how much Caleb still loved Gianna and what he did and said to get her back. Sometimes what he said was sweet while other times it felt like it would be something Josh would have said to Gianna. I guess I'm grading it so harshly because I waited a long time to read this book after reading the first and second books. Overall I liked the series but not the third book. I enjoy when heroines are not plain Jane and that they can be sweet, and sexy but not skanky, but most of all SMART!! I swear it seems like the books I have read lately are about plain girls while their male interests are so irresistible that all the girls want them. What I loved best about the book was the banter between Caleb and Ian.

Well, Toxic Bad Boy basically had every cliche I don't like in books, and was full of angst, which I'm also not a fan of. But somehow it worked and I couldn't put it down. Probably because I loved the charachters and wanted a big, fluffy happy end for them after everything they went and put each other through. I'm glad everyone got what they deserved, yes, Josh, I'm talking about you. I'm just sorry he didn't suffer enough.

I can understand why Gianna lied, and Caleb's reaction too. Yes, they should have been honest with each other, talk about their feelings and fears, but then again, they were only seventeen, and finally managed to overcome everything.

I'm glad we got to know Ian better, and that he and Caleb made friends with each other.

I'm hoping for a spinoff for Cece and Dante, though, it's impossible not to like the talkative little energy boost.

Even though I probably did not like this plot in other books, I'm not going to complain. It wasn't easy, and was a major roller coaster, but I still liked and enjoyed it.

I'm updating this blog tour post to include a review. I just received the eARC for this yesterday and finished it. So I wanted to have an opportunity to include some thoughts about it.

This book, and the entire series actually, is just as hot as it looks! I love Caleb and I love Gianna! This final book was such a thrill ride. After what happened to Gianna in the second book, which I won't say in case you haven't read it, I was so impressed with Caleb and his actions, and how he stayed so true to her. Then he still maintains that bad boy persona we've all come to know and love.

I did question a few of Gianna's actions, but then again, after what happened, I can kind of understand why she might make these decisions. But honestly, you just have to love these books, and that's all there is to it. The author has done an amazing job on this series, and this was a wonderful conclusion to it. The writing was so good, so well-paced, and so touching. If you haven't read the series, you have to get it!! It has heart, and it's hot too! What more could you want!?

>Book Review – Toxic Bad Boy -

>I received this book from the author and Paranormal Romance and Authors that Rock. I am an independent reviewer. This is the third and final novel in the Beware of Bad Boy series and ends in an HEA.

>Caleb is in juvie for 9 months. He can't help Gianna heal. Here is another example of these two characters actually acting their ages. Gianna lies to Caleb instead of being truthful, causing Caleb to act out with rebound girls that he has to explain later. There is a lot of teen angst in this very grown up story. This series cannot quite figure out what age it is. There is the very real problem of Gianna and Caleb being able to both heal enough to enjoy their relationship again.

>I thought it was funny when Caleb just refused to let go of Gianna. She'd break up with him and he'd continue to be with her. Having Caleb's art talent blossom was a nice preview into his future. There was a huge unanswered question. Who sent Gianna the pictures and notes? Nothing was ever answered about that. It was only proven that Josh could not have done it.

>The side story regarding Cece and Dante was heartbreaking, but probably the most realistic portrayal of a relationship in that situation. I love the peek into the future. I would have liked a bit of their college life, but the ending was perfect.

>This book is appropriate for an adult audience due to sexual situations.

I pretty much hated this book. I understand that gianna went through lots of trauma but the way she treated Caleb was uncalled for. she was a total bitch and treated him like shit 80% of the book meanwhile Caleb was doing everything in his power to make her happy and win her back. if I wanted to paper cut her all over and rub her in lemon juice. if I were you I wouldn't have wasted my time and money. all I wanted to know is if there was a happy ending and yes there was.

Just no. I continued because I was 2/3 in. If you're reading the reviews without having started any of the books - don't start.

The author had a chance in switching Gianna's character around but no. Total missed opportunity there. I guess there was a part of me hoping Gianna would leave Caleb for good and become a stronger person but I was left disappointed.

All-in-all. One of the worst series I've ever read.

Caleb and Gianna have both been put in positions to make hard decisions. Caleb is currently paying for one of his choices and Gianna is figuring out where she is meant to go from here. This is my favorite book in the series because it really has Caleb confronting his life choices and deciding how the future needs to be different. Their relationship has been viewed as toxic as there seems to be nothing but destruction around them. Caleb shows such a different side of him in this book that made me like him even more. Despite the taboo of the relationship, the story comes full circle and the dark cloud looming overhead is busted apart.

Aside from the drama that is Gianna and Caleb, the supporting cast plays such a great part to this story and the growth of the characters. Love this one!

I gave this book 4 stars because of the hero. I read the entire series because of the hero. I liked his stalkish manners, his willingness to fight for what he wants, the fact that he fought back and was not afraid to appeal to some tough love when it came to it.
The book, per se, was written as if the author just wanted to get this series over with. There are a lot of loose ends at the end of the book, there where moments where i thought the POV of one of the characters was needed, but was missing.
I for one, expected Caleb to be nicer and not react the way he did sometimes, but i still very much liked him. Once a bad boy, always a bad boy.
I liked Gianna for being so full of forgiveness and making the good decision all in all.
I also expected to read more steaming scenes between the 2 characters but there was only a hint of that. Bummer!

Bad ending to a bad series. It felt like this author just wrote whatever came into her head so she could fill enough pages to constitute a full book. The result was that a bunch of stupid, unrelated but repetitive over the top incidents kept happening over and over again and it made the main characters look too stupid to live because they kept making the same mistakes and never learning from them.

Here is a tip for authors: plan your story out in advance. It doesn't even have to be a big, detailed plan. Just a little rough sketch of the conflicts they will face. That way you can avoid having characters wander around, aimlessly stumbling into the same drama over and over again, and never learning from it or evolving. That's how you avoid tstl syndrome.

3 crazy-ending-Stars!
The third book in this series disappointed me. It started off with a rush and then slows down to boring life in prison for caleb or other small talk between characters....but this happens over and over again in the book. I caught myself skimming over paragraphs and lines to get to the next interesting part. :( oh and Gianna pissed me off even more in this book than the rest with her mood swings and pushing Caleb away. I wanted to shake her and tell her to shut up and love Caleb! Grrr... I must admit though, the ending was good. And i love happy endings! :)

At first I was so pissed at Gianna for making it so damn difficult on each other, but the girl had her reasons.
But everything slowly started to get better. But Norah is a bitch. And so is Hailey. Just to get that out there.
I’m actually starting to come round to liking Jared now that he’s not constantly panting over Gianna. Oh and Caleb and Ian? Bro’s for life, I’m telling you.
Loved the ending though, really finished the series off nicely.

It was a sweet ending of the trilogy and all three books was really short that's why I couldn't just stop and have to read til the end :D
It was a predictable ending but I loved it.
It was such a sweet teenage romance and that's just what I needed at the moment so it was perfect for me at that time...

Book 2 and 3. I would probably give this whole series a 3.5
I have a love/not like a relationship with this series.
At times I didn’t like how Gianna and Caleb acted.
They both did stupid things and lied to each other to protect each other from the truth.
But, the author needed a plot device.
I feel like book 3 was much longer then it needed to be. but o well.

An anti-climatic ending to this series. Still laced with editing errors and much of this story is just too outlandish for me. The on and off relationship between Gianna and Caleb gets tiresome and boring. The completely ridiculous things these characters do to create drama in their relationship is eye-rolling to say the least. And the backstory and mini plots evolving along side the Caleb/Gianna drama are worthless and tediously trying as they too are rushed in the end with little or no fanfare. It's nice Ian and Caleb have become friends but why mention his crush on his juvie penpal if nothing ever comes of it? What's up with Cece and Dante? They are so in love, have real life drama and nothing feels concluded/resolved completely here. And Gianna's stalker situation is over the top predictable and holds NO value to the plot here. Josh's story participation could have ended with his jail sentence for all of it relevance afterwards. It's also handled like a rushed afterthought so it becomes contrived for unnecessary drama in the story. And, after reading three books of this couple, that's the HEA we get? Talk about rushed and leaving the reader feeling cheated. This hot mess would have been better left on my TBR shelf.

Lui e Josh finiscono in galera.

He had no idea what her silence did to me. I'd compare it to a dark void where color and light had previously thrived, leaving their absence the more stark.
Nine more miserable months and I'd have my girl back. Closing my eyes, I imagined the feel of her in my arms, the taste of her lips against mine. Pure heaven.

My love for him had only grown in our time apart. The problem was my belief that Caleb deserved to love someone more worthy. I'd ruined his life, got him sentenced to confinement. Loving me had only brought him trouble.

Ricordatevelo ;-)

This really felt rushed. At times I wondered what Gianna what thinking and how she could possibly do some of the things she did. She lied a lot even when things could have been easily cleared up with the truth. I really wish the author would have tried harder with this book or would have had a better thought out ending. I enjoyed the first book but this one just didn’t do the series justice.

Sweet

This was sweet, it wasn't a super steamy or dark one. Baby even a taboo one. However, it was sweet and I enjoyed the all consuming love. I think it's a love we all wish for, that burning one that borders on obsessive and toxic. Passionate. You felt it.
