The use of watercolor and gauche evoke a nostalgia for a simpler time when harvesting the garden was probably part of more people's lives. I think it is a perfect medium for the story and would highly recommended using this book for fall-themed storytimes as it is short and sweet.

Gorgeous art. Captivating, simple, thankful story of a girl and her mom harvesting their garden, preserving, giving thanks, and resting.
