In the near future, the internet exists as an interactive online world called the Ghost_Layer.
Caedmon is an up and coming data deliverer, finally catching some breaks in his quest to build a new reputation and career. He finds himself working for an exclusive group of digital elites responsible for building parts of the Layer he loves, who are hounded by online law enforcement agencies because of their shady methods.
Those same agencies also have dirt on Caedmon.
Tangled up in both sides' schemes, and trying to keep his parents from getting too suspicious or worried, Caedmon confronts hard choices that could earn him a place in digital history—or in a very real prison cell—as he attempts to keep all sides happy while completing his first big job making a delivery along the Layer's most infamous event, the Formula Hit-And-Run.
If he gets this first job right, who knows what will happen next?
Other than taking care of my family and writing speculative fiction, I am into black tea (cream and sugar, please), semi-extreme sports, tropical plants, the ocean, graphic design, travel, books about travel, marketing (not great, but getting better), playing Minecraft and Mario Kart with my kids, watching Minecraft Youtubers with my kids, old houses, religion, podcasts, history, learning how people are making the world better, formula one racing (as of 2021), epic adventure movies and tv shows, and long and wide-ranging late night conversations with friends.
I live on the outskirts of Baltimore, Maryland, with my beautiful-entertaining-slightly-crazy-hardworking-very-smart wife, Wendy, and our three fantastic and very interesting kids. Also, two cats and a Beta fish.
I'm barely on social media, but I post a monthly newsletter at NathanLeeGreen.com.
