An inspirational and heart-warming story of the special relationship between a boy and a cat that has been sent from another world (or angels) to save an ice-age clan, dying of starvation. It's a beautiful fantasy adventure for adults and children, and I love the underlying message that we have a special relationship with the animals of this world that we should appreciate as truly special. In nurturing his relationship with Angelica, tha cat, Aric overcomes his fears and gains strength and the skills needed to lead his clan in a harsh environment. Anyone who loves the Warrior Cats series will enjoy this book immensely. Can't wait to read the second one!

I read this book because it was free on Amazon but, having done so, I would quite cheerfully spend good money for the pleasure of reading it anyway. This engaging tale of the relationship between Aric, (a Stone Age boy), and the mysterious Anjelica, (a cat with a difference), draws the reader in immediately. There are not very many books which can persuade me to postpone preparing a meal, until after I have finished reading them. My lunch was late today. I don't care because I have just indulged in two of my greatest pleasures I.E reading a great story and having my heart warmed, by this description of the loving relationship between a child and a cat.
It's not just a fuzzy "purrfest". The reality of life, during the great ice age, is not shied from either. The difficulties and hardships, that struggling humanity must have suffered from in that far-off time, is vividly described. We also learn, that the jealousies and nastiness that can befoul our species, were not strangers to our primitive ancestors.
I won't say too much more about this delightful and touching story. I don't want to spoil the experience for the fortunate readers who come after me. I will just say that I highly recommend this book and I look forward to reading any more volumes, that this very talented writer may produce.

The book started out with a great description of the setting that made me feel as if I were there. This talented new author is very good at using words to paint a very detailed picture for the reader. The fascinating story of a boy and a very special cat held my attention to the end. Every good book needs a villain, and this book has one in Brin/Brown. The author's storyline made it easy for the reader to dislike "the evil character". As the author of Cherished Cats and Childhood Capers, I could definitely relate to the boy's love of the cat. I didn't want to put the book down, and I will be anxiously awaiting the next book in this delightful series.

Ice Angel
First time I've read any of Linda's books and its not my usual genre of reading.but from the first page this book had me hooked.
A story of a cat named Angelica being sent to save a tribe during ice age times, this story will pull your heart strings all over the place. Being a cat lover I chose this book after seeing the cover which I think is fantastic, I am so glad I did as I am looking forward the the 2nd in the series already.

This is a glimpse into our prehistoric past in which an angel, in the form of a cat, comes to help a tribe of people slowly starving and facing death. It gives readers a glimpse into the extreme difficulties of survival in such primitive conditions.
