I met him at the bakery store where I work. The moment I saw him I knew he was trouble. It was written all over his gorgeous face. When I laid my eyes on his body, my heart started beating in double beats - everything about him screamed bad boy. I wanted to stay away from him but deep down I was dying to explore every inch of his muscular body. He tempted me and I fell under his spell without thinking it further. How can you not fall for someone who loves fudge cake? Ladies, a man who knows how to seduce you with sweets is not a keeper, he’s a sinner…

My favourite books are romance with happy endings. I love poetry, I love music, and I love people who dream big. I believe each one of us is born with a talent and we are unique in our different way.

Can you imagine fudgeing with a sexy guy in bed? Swoon!

Nineteen year old Jenny is resigned to living out her final weeks before college working at Delicious, reading her books and just relaxing at home, but all that changes the moment when a delicious-jerk walks through the door. Not one to be walked on, Jenny gives as good as she gets, leaving a lasting impression with this sexy-bad-boy.
Next time when I tell you to do something, you do it. And be careful with your dirty mouth, it can get you in deep trouble ;)

Ernest makes it a point to drive this little lady crazy, taunting, tempting and teasing her until she’s ready to break. Although he is twenty years older than her, age is nothing but a number when it comes to lust.
“First I am going to take off your pants, second I am going to suck your dick until you beg me to stop, third I am going to put your cock inside my pussy, and fourth I am going to sit on top of you and ride you.”

Dealing with her douchebag of an ex and her impending move, she sucks it all up and just lives in the moment. She knows it will never be more than lust and need, no matter how much she wants it to be.
How do girls get over someone like him? Under someone else I imagine...

Delicious was a short novella about going after what you want and enjoying the moment. There was a sexy fudge scene but for the most part it was fade-to-black moments where you have to use your imagination ;) Unfortunately for me I couldn’t quite get into it, sure it was a short read, but I felt like I hardly knew anything about Ernest outside of his age, looks and dirty mouth. I did enjoy Jenny, for a nineteen year old she wasn’t some silly-young-clueless girl, which was really refreshing. There are editing opportunities that I felt took away from the overall flow of the story and the ending holy cow, talk about a cliffhanger. Can’t wait for the second book, hopefully it will have all the the pieces of the puzzle I need to put everything together.

Thanks to Dora for giving me the opportunity to read this book.

That cliffy!

I have nobody to blame but myself. I didn't check any reviews before starting this one. I thought it was a novella and I wasn't prepared for that cliffhanger. So now I'm left wanting to know what will happen next. Agh!

The story was about a nineteen years old girl who fell for a thirty-nine years old man. Two days before she had to leave for college, she couldn't contact him and he didn't answer the phone. It made her so angry that he ignored her like she was nothing to him. So she went to his place for an explanation. And then BAM! The cliffy I didn't see coming!

Well, what did I just do to myself?!

Jenny, a young girl trying to find the purpose in her life.

Ernest, the ultimate bad boy that will awake all her deepest desires.

Age difference, dreams and life will intervene. Is it just a good time or something that can last a lifetime?

This was a very enticing (and very short) novella that ended abruptly!!! Holy HELL! I have an idea what is going on, but I need to read more NOW!
Back at the book, I understand that a few readers might have some issues with the writing style and story's narration. I found it somewhat hard to follow, but also direct and refreshing. I will be definitely reading the next!

How was I supposed to resist this teaser/snippet??? Pam, girl, you made me want to read it!!!

Delicious is a short novella by Dora Sky. It focuses on a young 19 year girl named Jenny working in a bakery called Delicious, which happens to be well known for their fudge cake, a cake that is famous for it aphrodisiac qualities. While on work, a dark broody gentleman pops in the shop and soon Jenny finds herself lusting for the dark mysterious stranger that has awaken her sexual desires. When Jenny and her friend Laila are out and about, dark mysterious stranger once again appears. Introductions are made and soon Ernest, the mystery man and Jenny find themselves flirting and lusting for each other. She wants him and he wants her. Following her sexual desires, Jenny succumbs to his advances and finds herself fulfilling this sexual need that only he can fulfill. What delicious secrets are awaiting for Jenny? Is Ernest sweet or did Jenny take a deadly bite?

Overall, this book was a quick read. Be prepared for a cliff-hanger ending. If you are looking for a delicious novella of a young girl taking chances and not being afraid to go after what she wants, then go pick up Delicious. I'm hoping that Ms. Sky will let readers know more about Ernest. Looking forward to the next installment.

Well that was definitely delicious!

This is a short novella about Jenny and Ernest .
They meet at the bakery where Jenny is working. Ernest wants to buy the famous fugde cake .

The first time they meet sparks fly.
Even if there's an age difference of 20 years between them.
Jenny just can't resist this mysterious man.

I really enjoyed this story -- especially the fudge cake scene!!
My only complaint would be that it was over too soon and everything happened a little bit too fast.

Looking forward to the next book. I need to know how their story continues...

I was on the fence about this review for more than a week..

The truth is my main problem consists in the writing and i don't get it! I 've already read the first chapter from Dora's book The Game and it's really good..
I think Delicious was just a mishap!

It really needed to be a bit more lengthy! With 50 more pages in the story this would have been good! I didn't had the time to be introduced properly with the main characters.. I certainly know more about her friend Laila than Jenny.. And Ernest is still a mystery!

I liked the premise and the age gap although it's not one of my favorite themes. Here it was done nicely and not creepy at all..
I guess i have to read the next one to have a wholesome idea and i hope to reevaluate then..

THOUGHT ABOUT THE BOOK
- The writing is immature, but hey it's her first book..
- I haven't decided yet if the style is refreshing or just inferior..
- I liked the letter..
- I also liked how close she was with her friend..
- The use of silly ploys could have been avoited with a few more pages.
The scenes wouldn't be rushed and underdeveloped..
- Two shots and she is out.. Really?
- I didn't like her ex at all..
- It has edditing issues..
- The sex scene with the fudge was pleasant..
- The ending really makes you scream WTF!! When everything starts to show potential..

- I really want to know what will happen next..

Gosh, this review is going to be a bit too honest. I hope it is received as constructive criticism, as my intent is not meant to be hurtful, promise!

To begin with, I was really looking forward to this novella, the author recommended it to me and I always get excited about new storytellers. I'm not one who enjoys 30 pages worth, but if done right, it has the power to give you enough enjoyment in 35 pages as a 200 page book can. So I was hopeful this one had that potential.

But three pages in and I DNFed it. Hold up - hear me out! There were two big issues, editing & style, that prevented me from reading more. It is written in big long page worth paragraphs, in a stream of consciousness style that does not have any page breaks for dialog. This is extremely hard on a reader to follow and digest. In the same vein, there were numerous editing issues, I counted at least 4 wrong words and tense inaccuracies which had me wincing. Lastly, the story, what I read of it, was very jarbled - in three pages the main character talks about baking - then going to gym - then reading a Cosmo article about a fudge cake - then meeting a rude guy and connecting back to the fudge cake. It was surprisingly within a short span of time really hard to follow.

I think with more time, and additional beta readers and editing, the author has potential, as the teaser had me anxious to read and imagine summarizing any novella or book in two paragraphs is reflective of talent in an of itself.

This book was a wonderful, amazing and DELICIOUS surprise!
I honestly wasn't expecting becoming so attached to the story in such a short book... but I gotta say... WOW!
It's hot, simple and fun! But it has the drama I like, mixed with Ernest and Jenny differences!!
I want more.... but a lot more! Really! It ended in a powerful way, because right now I want the second book so badly... I might stalk Dora...!! *wink*

«« SON OF A BISCUIT! What a MAJOR cliffhanger. »»

This was a short quick read. I felt like it was a bit rushed but that might be because it was so short. I wanted more background on the characters. Overall this was a good read full of potential. It kept my interest and I wanted more.

Ernest is so "Alpha male". A bit demanding (I can live with that...hehehe) and he sounds edible. He had a dirty little mouth and he knows what he wants and how to get it.

The age gap was a bit alarming to me. I think it's because she was only 19. I think if she was a bit older, then it wouldn't have been an issue for me.

I will never look at fudge the same way again.

I can't wait to see what happen next. Hopefully I don't have to wait long with the cliffy that I was left with. :)

A hot, delicious, fun, yummy, feisty read which had me craving cake like crazy lol ... I just wanted more of it. It was too short. I just wanted more time to get to know the characters, more plot - just, more. Please let there be more. I liked this all the more too as it was an arc for me. I rarely, if ever get arcs. Arcs make me feel, special. You made me extra happys, Dora, thankies so much x

"I loved this novella! I can't wait to finish the series. Let me start by saying my husband and I are 17 years apart so when I found out Ernest and Jenny's age difference I was so excited to read their story. There are so few stories with major age differences! I really enjoyed Jenny! I loved her dirty mouth, her attitude, and how she went after Ernest in the end. Ernest is totally swoon worthy. Holy HELL! I love a man who can talk dirty yet still sound so sweet and sincere. Hazel eyes just adds to his sex appeal! Yum! Delicious had me hooked right away (my kids just wouldn't let me read)! Delicious was a fun, sexy read. It was easy to follow and kept me interested even when I couldn't just sit and read. I feel this will be a major success for you!"

I was captivated by this delightful and intriguing story. I liked both Jenny & Ernest, and didn't mind their age difference. Jenny is quite mature for her age and Ernest is a yummy alpha male with a bit of mystery. I can't wait to find out what happens next! Also, I will definitely be reading more from Dora Sky!!

Chasing the Sun by The Wanted
description

Ah, yes the old top 40 song ;) But this song is upbeat and the book is pretty upbeat. On top of that I felt it kinda went with the whole chasing something impossible type idea.

I received this book as an ARC from the author in exchange for an honest review. I loved the premises of this book. I mean a bakery that makes cake that looks like this:

description

Can you say "YUM!"

description<---- That's how I would eat that cake LOL.

Anyways, back to my review. For me this novella was too short and there wasn't enough details about the characters. I really wanted to get to know Ernest a little bit more - outside of the dirty talk and amazing capabilities in bed. ;)

This being said, it was a fun read. Though I would have liked there to be sexy time instead of just fade to black because Ernest talked so highly of himself I would have liked to see him in action. But with a nickname like "Hazel Eyes" and described to be really sexy can one really go wrong? I'll leave that up to you to decide.

Thanks so much Dora Sky for the fun, quirky read!

Delicious….

Most of us are very familiar with what we think is Delicious.

A ripe juicy strawberry can be delicious and actually good for you.

A beautifully prepared meal, with all the trimmings can also hit the mark.

But sometimes things that are delicious and tempting don’t always work together the way the chef thought they would.

This novella had the young ingénue; the hunky bike riding male; a cute set up of the Bakery called Delicious where they meet and a few additional characters.

Jenny is 19 and getting ready to go to college. She is working at a friend’s bakery which is popular for their amazingly delicious fudge cakes. As she works the front counter, a guy is complaining; he wants the cake he ordered and he wants it now. As Jenny sees this guy, gets the cake and takes a gander at all that he is… she kind of becomes awe struck. They banter; he finally gets the cake and leaves.

Now what happens next is she becomes taken with him; they happen to see each other at a club; he comes up behind her and talks in her ear suggestively causing her to fall harder for him.

The story continues with what happens with their relationship and ends with a surprise.

All of these things were like parts of a dish being served.
In order to taste all of the elements, I used the concept of the girl was only 19. I remembered this was a time when rash decisions were made. That she did not have a lot of life experience, so she could have thought she fell hard for this man. However, even using that mindset, there were few misses to throw off this tale for me.

I really think with some adjustment to the delivery, this temping dish can become consistently Delicious.

Sometimes it takes a tweak here or a pinch there to get that yummy meal just right… I know this chef has all of the talent to deliver.

I receive this book in exchange for my honest review. And like the most book that I;ve read this year, I didn’t read the description and I didn’t know what to expect. But I have to say that I love it so so much. It was so great. And like the title, it was delicious.

It was different from the rest of the books that contains sexual explications. And also the actions was very unique.

I see my self when I’ve read about the girl. So antisocial, so into books, and more she loves Christian Grey. I was so surprise to read that. It is nice to see that are still people out there who prefer to read a book than to go in clubs and get drunk.
The idea of she meeting him in a bakery store it is so sexy. And that because I love so much sweets.

I love that chemistry between Jenny and Ernest. They are so cute and sexual good together. And when I wanted more of theme, boom, the book is finished. WTF? It just make me more addicted and that because of the ending.

Now, I’m anxious to see how things is going to be between Jenny and Ernest. And more to see about that ending that make me so confused.

I recommend this book because it was fun to read it, and because, even if is s short story you will fall in love with the characters. It’s like pure life in this book, not fiction.:)

Delicious is a short novella. Hot and fast read. The story of a nineteen year old girl Jenny who's working at a bake shop and meeting this intense bad boy guy Ernest. To be honest the story is interesting, I like the character of Jenny but I need to know more about Ernest. The story flows is kinda good but I can say there some point it needs to be some editing. I'm really looking forward to the next chapter of the story cause I hate cliffhangers!! haha

Earnest is nothing but sweet trouble!!
His mysterious yet enticing personality is merely captivating. His propensity for vices simply magnetizing and his wittiness agonizingly alluring. Much of an understatement to rank him by but earnest is doubtlessly out of this earth! I declare myself a Dora Sky groupie! I swear an oath to read all her work in vain hope of encountering more characters like hazel eyes.
