The armies of El Dorado approach like an unstoppable flood. Outnumbered twenty-five to one, Atlantis hastens to ready its feeble defenses. Meanwhile, the mysterious society known as CROSS, long hidden in the shadows, prepares to make its move, wielding an ancient power that could decide the outcome of war.

Racing against time, Cody wrestles with his responsibilities as the Book Keeper, his imminent duel against the Golden King, and worst of all, the haunting secret he has kept from Jade: the revelation that for the Prophecy to be fulfilled – she must die.

Wow.

First off, this is an EPIC conclusion to an AMAZING series. Before my dad read the first book to me (that's how I "read" this trilogy, guys), I had never heard of it before. AND NOW I AM DYING INTERNALLY BECAUSE WHYYYYYYY. NO ONE I KNOW HAS READ THESE BOOKS!!!! So I shall convince you with a list of reasons you should read it.

If you like books that punch you in the feels, read this trilogy!

If you like books with awesome magic/superpower type things, read this trilogy!

If you like books with fantasy and Beasts and mysterious strangers, read this trilogy!

If you like books that involve things like a mysterious room in a bookstore and breaking into Area 51 and going into the Bermuda Triangle, read this trilogy!

If you like hilarious, adorkable characters who are absolute idiots but also super awesome, and have friends who are epic, read this trilogy!

If you like books that have elements of old myths (or are they?) in them, like King Arthur and such, read this trilogy!

If you like not knowing who you should trust and wondering what plot twist is going to hit you next, read this trilogy!!!

Basically, this entire trilogy is amazing, and ever single one of you needs to read it. I won't tie you to a chair and force you to read it or anything. Most likely. And that definitely wasn't a threat. ;)

(As I mentioned before, my dad read this to me, so I'm not necessarily a good judge for content, as I can't be sure if he changed anything. One character consistently uses British expressions like "bloody" and "ruddy," which I know some people consider curse words. A few kisses, and several crazy old people are averse to wearing clothes. *cough* Stalkton and his disgusting food choices. There is a LOT of violence. Like... A LOT. This includes wars, torture, death (within the first few chapters of the book - RIP), and occasionally mentions of gory scenes. There's also some disfigurement from poison, traitors, mentions of slaughter.... Basically, a LOT of violence.)

That epilogue though!!!! I was squealing the WHOLE TIME.

My Rantings of Happiness, Sadness, and Other Such Spoilers - Don't Open Unless You've Read It, Okay? (Come back and read it after you read the trilogy. I'll wait.)

THE END to what is probably my longest review ever. :)

I was right. This book left my feels in shambles 😂

There were so many unexpected twists and turns in this one. By now the characters feel like my next-door neighbours, and to see some of my faves killed off. . . Mister Blackaby, you are a heartless monster 😭(jk, it wouldn't have been as good if nobody died. You're amazing)

I was on the edge of my seat the entire read, and managed to finish 97% of it in one day. The suspense was unbelievable. I had to know whether the Spider would be defeated, whose side Randilin was on, who the Lidless Man was, and if Jade would be healed in time.

Speaking of Jade, WOW!! She was absolutely phenomenal. I always knew she was a kick-butt hero, but I had no idea just how much she was capable of. DUUUUUUDE!!

*collapses bc of all the feels* Yeah, this is a fave now. The characters, the suspense, the plot. . . just everything. Ugh, I love it.

I am amazed at the level of detail in this series! I didn’t want to put this book down. I couldn’t wait to turn the page and see what happened next.
