Tidball is really perceptive of some of the idols that can pop up in the ministry and life time of a preacher. I like how he has sectioned the book; I like how he talks honestly and openly, not putting the preaching ministry or preacher on some sort of pedestal; and I like how much reference he makes to illustrations, providing insight on the truths and dangers being discussed.

This book would be a great read for any involved in, or wanting to become involved in preaching specifically but also Christian ministry more generally.
