I would have to say that this series has a lot of twist and turns. You think you figure things out, than the author throws in a monkey wrench. Debra Webb, has done it once again, where she keep you the reading involved with these characters. After reading silence the prequel of this series, The Faces of Evil, I am starting to feel that some of the villains in this series have very similar trace or they one in the same? What is it about cages? While Jess is investing a series of abduction, she is starting to believe that this is the work of Eric Spears. But there are pieces that she has yet to put together. In the meantime Eric Spears has other plans for Jess. This means that you are going to have to get the book to start riding on the roller coaster…. See you at the end of this ride!

Spears and his minions are at it again. Three women disappear, two are returned. Where is the other woman? Meanwhile people are being murdered and Police chief Dan Burnett is under pressure from the mayor. He is also under suspicion for the disappearance of Captain Allen, head of the Gang task Force. Is Allen a crooked cop who has disappeared on his own or is he dead? Someone is doing a very good job of framing Dan. Jess is pregnant and hasn't told Dan or anyone else, she doesn't want to give Spears anything else to use in his war against her. So many twists and turns!! Another great story in the faces Of Evil series!

Jess is being stalked. She can't go anywhere without a bodyguard. She moves in with Dan to releave the tension. She is still investigating murders. Now she finds out she is pregnant. How does she tell Dan? Each time she tries to tell him, something else happens.
Dead bodies are showing up all over the city at different places she has lived during her life, some she doesn't even know about. Who knows more about her past than she does?
Dan is being framed for the death of a missing police officer. Is he missing or dead?

This series just keeps on going!!!

Eric Spears, an aggressive killer, and his cronies are at it again in VICIOUS, Book 7, in THE FACES OF EVIL SERIES. Three women have been abducted, two were set free. Will Jess and her partners be able to find the third victim before it’s too late? Debra Webb expertly weaves a story full of twists and turns. You will be held spellbound as you read along. Make sure to add this one to your collection!

Deputy Chief Jess Harris is investigating the disappearance of three women. Two of whom have been found alive. With the third victim still in the evil clutches of sadistic killer Eric Spears, Jess finds herself in a race against time to find the missing woman before it is too late.

Jess is not safe either, as long as Spears remains on the loose. Through one of his victims, he made sure that Jess was told that he was doing these killings just for her. Feeling unsafe, Jess has moved in with her boyfriend, Dan Burnett. She has been keeping the fact that she is pregnant from Dan because she can never find the right moment to tell him.

What will Dan’s reaction be when he discovers that Jess is pregnant? Will Jess finally be able to take down Eric Spears before he can kill again? Find out this and more in the latest installment of THE FACES OF EVIL series.

This series just keeps getting better with each book that comes out. Debra Webb knows how to keep readers anxiously chewing their nails in anticipation of the capture of Eric Spears. The romance between Jess and Dan is slowly heating up and the unexpected pregnancy that Jess is facing just seems to cement their relationship further.

Although VICIOUS reads well as a stand-alone, I suggest that you start with book one in the series for maximum impact. For a romantic suspense that melds action, adventure, mystery, intrigue and murder, with some stolen tender moments of intimacy. VICIOUS is exactly what you crave!

Vicious is the seventh book in Debra Webb’s Faces of Evil series. It is very hard to keep momentum going on a long running story; Webb accomplishes this and more. Once again there is a case of the week. This time two women are murdered in a vicious fashion. Forced to leave the Player case in the hands of the FBI, Jess focuses her attention on finding justice for the new victims. As she gets deeper into the investigation she realizes that Spears is connected to the events of her case. This connection brings to light more information about Spears, though still not enough. We are also treated to some significant positive changes in the relationship between Dan and Jess. I’m thoroughly enjoying the way Webb is spinning this series along. However, the impatient me wants to see Spears get his due sooner rather than later.

LOVED! After reading Silence I was lucky enough to dive right into Vicious. THIS IS SPOILER FREE!!! I was engrossed from the very first page. Another roller coaster from start to finish. My favorite part of this series is Debra Webb's ability to continue the epic storyline of the serial killer Spears while Jess and Dan try living and working on everyday cases. This book has the current case and Spears's craziness colliding in psychotic proportions. All subplots are woven perfectly, Debra weaves a plot that keeps you begging for more. A nail biter for sure, I had butterflies all through. After 7 books and a novella I'm quite invested in the characters that Debra has brought to life. I can't wait for Vile to come my way. This series and Debra Webb's writing have fastly (is that a word, is now) become a favorite of mine.

Oh my word, the Faces of Evil just keep getting more evil. Spears is closer than ever and everyone is trying to protect Jess and she is trying to protect everyone else in her life. What will Dan say when Jess finally gets a chance to tell him about the baby. Who is behind trying to frame Dan for Ted Allen's disappearence and how far will they go. You will have to get Vicious and read book 7.Remember you need to read books 0-6 first to be up with the stories start. I am telling you that you will not be dissappointed.

Eric Spears is back and is just as cruel as he has been in the past he has people everywhere willing to help him kill people, and he’s got Jess, Dan and her team doing double time trying to figure out the new pattern. Some of the victims are video recorded right before their death and sent to Jess’s phone as she’s getting the call to investigate these brutal crimes. At first Jess didn’t know that these recent murders were the works of Spears, but when Jess uncovers a clue at her Aunt Wanda’s house and guess who has reached out to Wanda, Spears! He got Jess’s life story. Jess did find it odd that someone got killed in Dan’s old apartment, and then she found out the first homicide that morning was in the bedroom Jess was born in. This book was filled with twists and turns and it was a great read indeed. Find out what Dan thinks of Jess’s pregnancy and see what kind of ride Dan and Jess are in for. I’m looking forward to the next book, when I think Debra you have done it she comes back with something even bigger!

I pre-order the books in the Faces of Evil series, and read them as soon as they download. This was no different, as I had just finished the novella Silence a few days before and my appetite was whetted. After Ruthless, which was great, I was expecting that this book was going to be a little "less," and in some ways it is. I don't think there's any way this book could be read without reading the others first; it's like a chapter in the overall story arc of Eric Spears and Jess and Dan, and even the underlying case that Jess and her team investigate would be hard to understand without knowing the Spears story arc. However, even though this book moves the story arc forward only incrementally, it was still well done and hard to put down.

Debra Webb does it again.
#7 in a series and I'm still hooked. Don't read this book too fast, as you will be biting your nails awaiting for the next in the series. (JUST like I am!)

Vicious- "deliberately cruel or violent".
Just seeing this title any reader who knows Jess is already prepared for the worst. What happens when even you can't imagine where this book goes? It is an astounding amount of horror that Eric Spears is throwing into Jess's life. Adding the new "Talented" perpetrator into the mix and one wonders how she can keep one foot in front of the other. This book takes you on a grisly ride along with every person whom Jess loves. No one is safe from the Evil that follows her. This read starts letting us see some of Jess's past in a new light. Just enough that as a reader you doubt that you even know what really is going on. This series is a great fun read that will keep you on your toes. Check it out!

Debra Webb knows how to write suspense! Vicious is a good way to describe the murders Jess and her team are trying to solve. The Player loves playing games with Jess and she not only has to worry about The Player and the young women he is taking but people he is involving in his games. Gruesome murders are taking place and the description of the killer(s) doesn’t fit with The Player. Who are these new killers and are they connected to The Player? On top of that, she has a secret she hasn’t shared and needs to tell Dan first but when will they have some quiet time to talk when they are chasing killers. How will Dan feel about her secret and how will it affect their relationship and jobs? I don’t want to tell too much because the best part of reading suspense is the suspense of not knowing what’s going to happen next! Grab a copy to read this exciting continuation of the Faces of Evil.

A Vicious surprise!
Debra Webb continues her Faces of Evil series in the best way possible. In Vicious we learn how evil Eric Spears is and how he is manipulating things around Jess Harris life. As the book takes you through the case in this book you begin to wonder as does out heroine if Spears is behind everything in Jess' life for the last few years. How long has this man had her in his site?
The book does not have a nice neat conclusion so don't be surprised that you will want to continue the series. This is the best way to keep the series alive and I love it

The fast paced action and thrilling plot in this book is nail biting, keep you up at night AMAZING! I love how each book starts right where the last ended off. This is the 7th book in the Faces of Evil series. A series of horrific murders have Birmingham in its clutches yet again. Is it the work of some new psycho or is Eric Spears at it again? Also is Jess pregnant and if so, will she ever work up the nerve to tell Dan?
Every book I read in the series manages to be better than the last. The author has a knack of answering some of the questions but leaves just enough unanswered to leave the reader sitting on the edge of their seat ever so IMpatiently waiting for the next installment.
If you love mystery, suspense, with just a bit of romance thrown in, this series is for you. Once you start, trust me, it becomes an addiction.
I highly recommend not only book 7, Vicious, but the entire Faces of Evil series!!

Another nail biter from Debra Webb. Jess and Dan is being actively hunted by Eric Spears, the psychopath we have met in previous "Faces of Evil" books. He is getting insanely close to them in this book, and it involves family, friends and previous living quarters. Even though the book covers only about a week, I was exhausted for them by the end of it.
The only negative is that we have to wait till March for the next one, in which Jess will hopefully find and kill Spears!

Another excellent installment in the Faces of Evil series. I must recommend that you read these books in order because they all flow from day to day and case to case starting from book one with the main case dealing with Eric Spears growing larger in each book to what I assume is going to be a climax in the final book of the series.
As for this book another great case for Jess and her team and more demented games by Spears. What more could a fan of Faces of Evil ask for? Also, Jess and Dan's relationship got even stronger even though I do see some dark waters ahead but everything can't be too easy with a crazy killer after you. Loved the crazy sexual innuendos that gave me a much needed lol moment. I have no idea how Webb does it but she was even able to make an autopsy funny in this book. I can not wait for the next book to come out but then on the other hand it means it is closer to the end of the series so mixed emotions.

Loved it!! I was so anxious for certain events to be made known to certain characters that I barely paid close attention to the crime being investigated in this book! Although it is essential to the plot, I feel like there was enough going on that it was appropriately "background noise" until it could be ignored no longer. I really hope the wait between Vicious and Vile isn't too lengthy....I may not survive it!
