Warning: This book contains explicit language and explosive sex. It is an adult romance and not intended for anyone under the age of 18.
Liam Christianson is the devil-may-care, rhythm guitarist for Bayou Stix, the hottest rock band around. He’s a playboy and likes to do things his way. No regrets. He knows that women love him, and he uses that to his advantage. He’s cocky and shallow. Or so it seems.
Clove Rodrigue is the baby sister of Liam’s bandmate and friend. She’s a sweet, fairly innocent young woman who was dealt a bad hand and became a victim of circumstance. After finishing culinary school, she returns home to Baton Rouge. She finds herself living under the same roof as Liam and they quickly realize they are like oil and water. He hates how perfect she is, and she can’t stand his treatment of women.
Both Liam and Clove are accustomed to letting others see only what they want them to see, each hiding behind false pretenses.
What happens when polar opposites realize that their hatred of one another is really attraction? Will they succumb to the allure? What happens when the things that you fight so hard against are the very things you need the most in the world?

Liam and Clove are the 3rd installment of the actual Bayou Stix Series. This book is my baby. It's very different from the previous books, but all of my books are different. I laughed, I cried, I got mad, and I fell in love with my characters. I pray you will as well.
First let me say that I have read every one of the Bayou Stix series and I loved them all but this one is my favorite. Now don't get me wrong I still love my Jude from book one but Liam oh my you get to see him in a whole new way.
Yes he is still the pretty boy but you really get to understand him in this book and why he loves just a one night stand and nothing else. He has had a pretty bad past with his family and some I'd just down right sad (yes you may shed a tear or two when you read so be prepared). The good thing is he does have is Paw and of course his band which is his family and will always be there for him even if sometimes he may be needing that extra push to see what has always been in front of him but no matter what they will always love him for who he is and that what family does.
Clove which has been mentioned in previous books in the series and I will admit I didn't care for her much until this book. She has alway been treated as the baby sister when in fact she is a grown ass women. Everyone including her brother always made her feel like a kid not the twenty so eating year old that she was. So my girl went out and made some changes well let's just say those changes made her get noticed a little more by a certain someone and put it nicely she accomplished her mission. Now wait that's not it because of course I'm not going to tell everything but if you have read the rest of the series there are clues and hints for books to come so there will be a little something to surprise in this book so I can't wait for y'all to read it.
Once Liam realizes what been in front of him the whole time things start changing for both Clove and him. Once you really start to know know both of them you will fall in love with. You will only wish that there really some awesome men out there like Liam (yes I said Liam you will just have to wait and see). Liam is so swoon worthy you will not be disappointed at all bit the truth is I haven't been disappointed with a Skye book yet not even with the hot sex scenes she always keeps you on your toes plus you know a book about Liam has to have some hot sex.
Wow I believe this is the best one yet! Skye Turner has done it again guys! Clove is a beautiful lady that has had a rough start in life. She has been swindled and crooked and cheated out of love. Dade comes to the rescue to his little sister and brings her home to his house. Well he leaves for vacation and tell Liam to keep a watch on her. Liam is apart of the band and is a manwhore. He loves women and tells then straight up that he doesn't do relationships and it's a one time deal. Clove moves in and they fight all the time! An incident happens and Clove ends up in the hospital and Liam freaks because he doesn't know what to do. He feels this attraction and doesn't understand it at all! Clove has always liked him but won't go after it because she thinks she's not good enough for him. Tension flares and they end up kissing... Will Liam go for the goal or will he let her get away because she is to "innocent" for him?? This is an amazing series a total must read!!!
I was a beta reader for Ms. Skye. And let me tell you she has out down herself once again! I gave this book 5 stars.
This is book 3 in the Bayou Stix Series, BUT can be read as a stand alone. But why would you want to? ALL the wonderful characters from the previous books are in this book too!!
Liam, bad ass rhythm guitarist for Bayou Stix! He loves his life. He loves the woman that he sleeps with. He sleeps with woman that won't get attached to him, he does not do commitment. Clove is the baby sister of a band mate and is off limits as far as Liam is concerned.
Liam and Clove both show their attraction towards each other with mean words and nasty actions. I don't think either of them realize how much they're attracted to each other at first. Once the light bulb goes off and they finally see each other in a different light watch out!
But after all they have said to each other can they get past all of that and actually see each other as potential lovers? Each of them have things that will have to be dealt with and when that happens will the other person run for the hills? Or will they stand and fight for each other?
Liam and Clove. These two are so different from the other characters in Skye's books. I am such a fan of her work and it seems she just gets better and better with each book that she writes. Somehow Liam and Clove crept their way into my heart and camped out. I think it is more about the defense mechanism that Clove has up, she says and does things to Liam even though she is feeling just the opposite of what she is saying, but she has been so hurt in all her relationships she just knows that Liam could destroy her, and that there would be no coming back from it. Liam also feels that connection to her. Clove is someone that he has always wanted. Once he makes up his mind that he wants her, the way that he takes care of her is beautiful. I was cheering for these two in the last book, I knew that their connection would be electric and life changing. Clove has been looking for Liam her whole life. She just didn't know it was him she was looking for.
This book to me was more about their connection to each other and not just the sex. It was about two souls that were meant to be coming together, and seeing that life can be perfect as long as they have each other. Thank you Skye for yet again writing a magnificent story. I look forward to reading more from you! <3

Skye Turner is one of those authors that has been on my TBR list forever. I have to confess that this wonderful author contacted me when her first book in the Bayou Stix series was released, and unfortunately for me, I was unable to get to read it at that time. I am so glad I got to read Alluring Temptation because I absolutely love her joyous, infectious and exuberant style of writing! With a heavy dose of Southern conversation, y’all.
Liam is your typical bad-boy rocker, but we get to really see inside his head with the dual POV’s. In between all the meaningless sex with models and groupies, Liam is actually a very funny, smart guy who harbors deep feelings for Clove (love the name!), the little sister of Dade. The story is fast-paced, and I loved all of the Louisiana references, having lived in that state for several years during my younger days. All of the food and location references left me feeling very nostalgic for that beautiful state.
Clove is fighting to be recognized as a woman instead of the young, fresh-faced innocent girl that everyone sees her as. She is very sexy, but has a natural beauty and a sweet personality. She has had a crush on Liam forever but the sparks really fly when they both recognize that they have feelings for each other.
Skye has a unique writing style that is highly entertaining, real and very funny. The sex is smokin’ hot and I loved getting into the world of Bayou Stix. This is Book #3 in a series, and I think it can be read as a standalone but the first two books do provide background on all the main characters. I really enjoyed reading Alluring Temptation and recommend it for anyone who wants a fairly quick, sexy and funny book about rockers and the women they love!
(ARC provided by the author in return for an honest review.)
Skye Turner has done it again! Alluring Temptation is the best book yet in the Bayou Stix series! When you first start the novel, Liam and Clove are so different it makes you wonder how they will ever find their way to each other. In the end, Liam will melt your heart, bring you to tears, and make you feel like all is right with the world! Liam's transformation is unlike any in the series and will leave you breathless. There are times when even Clove wonders if he's too good to be true! The things he does and says will leave you wanting more from this story long after you've turned the last page. Buckle up and get ready for this one!! You will not be able to put it down!
Clear the way for Clove and Liam. They are hottest couple around, and I repeat they are the hottest couple around. It left me on emotional roller coaster ride and that is what I love about Skye. She has a way of making you fall in love with her books, and the couples that she writes about. This book reminds me of a song Looking for Love in all the Wrong Places by Johnny Lee. I recommend this book as a must read... She has done it again...:)
Liam Christianson is hot as hell guitarist and the prettiest in the band, Bayou Stix. Women are constantly throwing themselves at him, so he gladly accepts what they offer. The man just smiles and women’s panties just melt off. Even a smart girl becomes stupid if she sees Liam’s Adonis god-like the body. Even though he is a man-whore, he is also very sweet and protective.
“…he makes me want to act like a wanton whore. No wonder he gets women like he does. If he’d say the word right now, my panties would melt right off.”
Clove Rodrigue is the beautiful, sassy, cheeky little sister of Dade Rodrigue, a band member of Bayou Stix. Feeling as if she has failed at life due to all the mistakes she has made, she feels disoriented and abandoned, so she decides to leave Los Angeles and move to Louisiana with her brother, Dade.
Liam and Clove are living with Dade, but he leaves Clove in Liam care while he takes a much-needed vacation. Liam soon learns that he does not affect Clove like his groupies, but does not understand why she has so much hatred for him. At the same time, maybe because she is not one of the guys either when she gets upset when she finds him with his “lady friends” at the house. Tension builds between the two creating a spark, but will their attraction erupt fireworks neither one anticipated?
“How rude of her when you waltz into my kitchen looking like a used up prostitute, and invite yourself into a private conversation. You have two minutes to get dressed and get the hell out of my house.”
As Liam and Clove learn more about each other, Liam has to ask Clove when she started to hate him and why. Clove is shocked when Liam tells her he does not know why, so she tells him what occurred one horrid night. Liam is dumbfounded, because he truly does not recall anything and feels immediate remorse for his actions. Tension builds between the two creating a spark, but will their attraction erupt fireworks neither one anticipated?
“…you can hurt me. I don’t mean like a little middle school heartbreak. I mean like you can crush me. I’m not like he woman you sleep with. I’m not a model or actress. I’m just a normal girl. I have serious insecurities and I’m not worldly. I can’t compare to any of them.”
Skye Turner’s novel, Alluring Temptation, is the third novel in the Bayou Stix series which Skye has done an amazing job writing a captivating an emotional love story that will have you feel as if you are on an emotional roller coaster of COMPASSION, SADNESS, ANGER, DISCOVERY, JEALOUSY, LAUGHTER, FORGIVENESS, FRIENDSHIP, and LOVE. Alluring Temptation will pull at your heart strings leaving you teary eyed, so have your tissues ready. Even though Alluring Temptation does end with a “soft” cliffhanger, Skye Turner will not have us to waiting too long for the fourth novel, Dade Rodrigue’s story.
“Alluring Temptation is dedicated to anyone who’s ever had their heart broken, their dreams crushed, or someone tell them they are not worth it. Here’s to proving them all wrong!”
Skye Turner’s third novel in the Bayou Stix series, Alluring Temptation, receives - 5 ROCKING STARS!
This is the 3rd novel in the Bayou Stix series, and I think it is the best so far!
Skye Turner has drawn me back into the loves and lives of the men of Bayou Stix, and this is Liam Christianson's book.
After a bad breakup, Liam's bandmate Dade has his sister move back home and into his house. Liam is currently living in Dade's house, and as kind of a built in "babysitter" for 23 year old Clove.
These two could not be more different if they tried. Liam is the consummate rock star. Never settling down, a parade of women in and out of his bed room. Clove is young and sweet and innocent, so not what Liam wants or needs.
Or is she??
I love the bickering, the snarky remarks, the fighting between Liam and Clove. There is a fine line between love and hate, and this pair are toeing that line. Even behind all the sniping at each other, you can feel that it is not at all malicious.
In fact, you could cut the unresolved sexual tension between the two with a knife!!
The sparks just fly between Liam and Clove. I could understand why Liam does not want to act on the attraction (hell, she is his friend's baby sister, who wants to ruin that friendship if things go sour between them) but I just wanted them to forget about everyone else, and do what is best for themselves.
So, do they act on the attraction, or will they forever be looking at each other across the room, pining away?
Nuh uh ~ for that you are going to have to read for yourself.
I loved that we got more of the other band mates and their family and friends. This is such a close knit group of friends that no story would be complete if they weren't sticking their nose in everyone else's business, givig their two cents worth, and being the wonderful support group for each other.
I think this series just keeps getting better and better, and with that little set up of Dade's story at the end of this one, I can't wait for book 4!!
I love these Bayou Stix rockers !! They are hot as sin , dreamy and once you get to know them they are really great guys. I feel the same about the girls of the series. These girls know how to wrap these men around their fingers and keep them there !! Good for them !!
Liam is a bad boy rocker that loves woman and of course the woman love him. At this point in his life he is living with his band mate and great friend Dade and Clove , Dade's little sister. Liam cannot stand Clove , or so he thinks. Dade is away so Liam is keeping an eye on Clove since she just moved back home after some heartache and trouble. Liam being Liam is flaunting his one night stands around the house and Clove is ready to kill him since she keeps walking in on things she would rather not see. Is she disgusted by him or just jealous that it isn't her ?? The tension between them is so thick and what they believe is hatred the rest of the gang is seeing as desire.
As you find out more and more about Liam and Clove's pasts you come to find they are really a perfect match. After some close encounters and near tragedy Liam decides to confront Clove about why she hates him so much , she is surprised and taken back by his kindness. When she tells him something about their past together Liam is horrified , not being able to remember what Clove tells him. This pushes Liam and Clove together to face their feelings and find out that there may really be something there.
Their story is short and sweet. They have fun together going out and getting to know each other , they figure out how to fit their pasts and current issues into a relationship , and of course they have SUPER HOT SEX. Bits and pieces of their past and present collide but they overcome this together !! Liam will shock you with his actions in this book !! Clove finally sees some happiness in her future !! And of course we get to hangout with the rest of the gang and see how they are doing !!
The story would not be complete without a little drama at the end to lead us into the next story from this series !!
I really enjoyed this book and I look forward to more-
Clove and Liam's story is absolutely perfect, except that I did not want it to end. I am sure that they will reappear in the next book, but I was not ready to let them go at the end this one. To me that is the hallmark of a great storyteller. This is the fourth book I have read by Skye Turner, and I do believe it is my favorite. The writing is crisp and the banter between the characters is realistic. I felt like I had lived many of the conversations in the book. As in the past books, the characters are well defined and flawed, but that's what makes them realistic.
Awww, Liam. What's to say about a hot musician that sleeps around. You know that eventually "the one" will come up and knock him on his rear. In this case, it is his best friend's little sister. Their chemistry is palpable. They fight and love with great passion, always the sign of a real relationship. I love that Liam respects his Paw enough to go to him when he is in turmoil and again to introduce him to the woman he loves. There is something to be said about a man that respects his elders and seeks their advice. He realizes he doesn't like himself very much and truly wants to be a better man for Clove. His transformation during the book makes the reader fall in love with him, right along with Clove.
Clove, while she's always had her brother, Dade, to watch over her, she still has made life altering mistakes. She fell for a man that betrayed her and stole from their friend, Jude. He ends up in jail and she returns home with all of her secrets. When those secrets are revealed, she realizes that she isn't alone in the world. She has all the support and love of the Bayou Stix family and more importantly, from Liam. She fights the attraction for him, just as much as he does. I loved watching the relationship grow slowly; much more realistic for the reader. The book is filled with emotions: love, anger, jealousy and respect. The characters are well developed and the passion between them is sizzling. As always, I cannot wait for the next book in the series.
This was by far my favorite book of Skye's. Though I will always be a Jessie fan (Alluring Seduction)!!
Liam is a playboy through and through. He is living with Dade (a bandmate from Bayou Stix). He is gorgeous and knows it. He uses that to go through women like my house of 6 goes through toilet paper! He lives life fast and hard. True rocker lifestyle.
Clove is Dade's sister and is living with Dade also. She finished college and was forced to head back home after a rather heart breaking experience with an ex. She is the complete opposite of Liam. She is sweet and looks for more in the opposite sex than a romp in the sheets.
Living under the same roof, Liam and Clove clash, hard. They are at each other's throats constantly. She is appalled at his treatment of women and he can't stand how "perfect" she is. But is it really that they can't stand one another or can't stand that they can't have one another? To everyone but them it's painfully obvious.
Will Liam be able to get over himself and realize he wants more out of life? Will Clove be able to oversome her feelings towards Liam's behavior with women? The electricity between these two is enough to blow a power grid! I highly recommend this book! Make sure to read them in order or you may be lost!
What an amazing continuation to the Bayou Stix series! Skye has done it again and given us a story that will have you sitting down without batting an eyelash until you're done reading. The storyline is amazing and the characters are so loveable. Liam is such a sweetie, hiding behind his rocker-man-slut persona. He is hot, sexy, and very protective of those he loves. Clove is Dade's little sister and an amazing chef. Beautiful and smart, she is such a little spitfire. These two characters made the story so interesting, although we have characters from the previous books making appearances. As far as the series goes, Skye might've just made Alluring Temptation THE.BEST.ONE.YET! A rollercoaster of emotions, you will find yourself laughing at some of their antics. You will swoon at the romantic gestures, be all hot and bothered with the sex scenes, and cry when those tender and heartbreaking scenes take place. Alluring Temptation is a book that must be read by everyone. Then again, the whole Bayou Stix series should be read by everyone. So, if you haven't yet picked up your copy of any of these books, what are you waiting for? GO GET THEM NOW! I guarantee you will not be disappointed.
By far the best book in Author Skye Turners Bayou Stix series! Skye rocked the story of Liam and Clove! Everything about this book was hot from the cover to Liam and Clove. This book was an emotional roller coaster with these total opposites. You will be crying one minute, mad the next and ready to rip his clothes off the next.
Liam leads a life with lots of one night stands and parties. Clove leads a more "innocent" life with a couple relationships. They can't be in the same room without yelling or screaming at each other. But there is a draw to one another that neither one of them can explain. What happens when one magical kiss changes their way they see one another?
Alluring – “powerfully and mysteriously attractive or fascinating; seductive”
Liam Christianson, guitarist for Bayou Stix, fits that description to a T. As soon as he looks at a woman, she’s ready to drop her panties and give herself to him, and since he’s a rocker, he’s more than happy to oblige. Clove Rodrigue, Dade’s baby sister, is drawn to Liam just like every other woman; the only difference is that she refuses to act on that attraction because she can’t stand him and is repulsed by his manwhore ways. She also doesn’t think she stands a chance with Liam because she’s not like all of the beautiful women he beds; she doesn’t believe anyone would be drawn to her except the assholes that look to take advantage of her. These two couldn’t be more different, but for some reason, that’s exactly why they’re drawn to each other, and once they realize that the hateful words and venomous actions are nothing more than sexual tension waiting to be freed and explored, how do they move past everything that’s been said, and is Liam really ready for a relationship that involves more than just the bedroom?
Liam and Clove’s story, in my opinion, is a bit different from the previous couples. While the witty banter, sexual tension, and steamy scenes are still present, Alluring Temptation focuses more on Liam and Clove realizing who they really are behind the façade of the rocker and young, naïve girl. I wasn’t expecting Liam’s backstory to be what it is, but after hearing it, I completely understand why he’s hid behind people’s assumptions. Not many people know the true Liam, and I loved getting to know what he truly thinks and feels about things as he and Clove figure out what they mean to each other and what they want for their future. For most of the story, Clove works to get everyone around her to stop seeing her as the innocent girl who needs looking after; yes, she’s made mistakes, and her life is forever changed due to those choices, but she’s trying to take control of her life and be someone her brother and her friends can be proud of and see as the adult that she is. I love that Skye Turner takes readers along as Liam and Clove navigate through this new relationship. Clove takes a risk by giving into her feelings for Liam, and Liam puts in the work to make sure she never regrets her decision. Because this is so new to both of them, there are mistakes along the way and being immersed into the public eye is a bit daunting for Clove, but by being together, they don’t have to pretend anymore or be someone they aren’t, and Skye does a great job of illustrating those defining moments.
Alluring Temptation is a fantastic addition to the Bayou Stix Series. I know anytime I read a book by Skye Turner that I’m going to get well developed characters who give readers their story through dual point of views. The atmosphere that Skye creates in her books is another reason I enjoy them. She immerses her readers into the culture and ambiance of the locations she uses, which makes the story that much more enjoyable. Can’t wait to see whose story is up next!

4/4.5 poison apples (The Fairest of All Book Reviews)
Another masterpiece by this author! I will have to say that I think this is the best one yet in this series. It was amazing. This book is full of love, angst, drama, tears, happiness, LOL moments, a seriously hot rocker, one kick ass chef, and a ton of wild sexy times!
Clove is Dade's baby sister. At the end of the last book, we saw her move in with Dade and this story picks up where it left off. Lonely, scared, and in a new city, Clove is trying to pick up the pieces of her life and put them back together. While her brother is on vacation, Clove is staying at his house and with his roommate, Liam who is a member of Bayou Stix. As Liam and Clove dance around each other, tensions are high, sparks are flying, and it is only a matter of time before they blow up. But when her secrets are revealed, what will Clove do?
Liam is fed up with Clove. She is constantly walking in on him with his one night stands and to top it off he can't stop thinking about her. These two are seriously like "oil and water". They either are yelling at each other or not talking but he knows he has to deal with her since she is Dade's baby sister. But when lines are crossed and blurred, what will Liam do?
As secrets are revealed, will Liam stand by Clove or run? When things start to get serious will Clove give in to her feelings for Liam? Can these two who seem to hate each other have a relationship? Can Clove trust Liam or are his chances ruined before he even started to try?
I loved Liam. God he was such an ass in the beginning but I totally get why he was. He wanted Clove but he was fighting an internal war and thought he could screw her out of his system which obviously didn't work. I also loved Liam when he finally admitted he wanted Clove and gave it all he got. God, I don't want to reveal any spoilers but lets just say HE IS THE BEST CARING MAN EVER! To do what he did and step up to the plate was amazing! I can't wait to read more in future books about what is happening in their lives.
Ok best moment(s) from this book are their internal conversations they have with themselves. They were so freaking hilarious, Oh. Em. Gee.! They made me laugh so hard to see them struggle with their thoughts, then ask question only to answer them with some crazy ass answers.
This author is one of my favorites and I am on freaking pins and needles waiting for Dade's story. I need it now. The way it left me hanging was horrible. I also really wanted more from the ending of this book BUT I totally know that the author will let us get a better conclusion for Clove and Liam in Dade's book! :)
This series is one of my favorites and I can honestly say, that in this latest installment, I fell in love all over again.
This book is Liam and Clove's story and it is different from all the other books in a good way. There is no comparison for this book. I immediately was hooked and felt a special connection to this book because I have been through similar situations. I freely admit I teared up from the beginning so this book is more emotional than the others.
Liam, the pretty boy member of The Bayou Stix, is the sex on legs of the group. Everywhere he goes women fawn and fall all over him. He doesn't want for female company and he takes advantage of it. Clove, Dade (member of The Bayou Stix Band) little sister, is a very great chef and is staying in the same home with her brother and Liam. She is NOT one of Liam's groupies who falls all over themselves over him. She is constantly getting in to arguments with him and not taking any of the things he says to heart.
This book is emotional and shows a different side to relationships. Liam is tired of his playboy status. Constantly finding women as objects for his pleasure and nothing more, he dislikes the person he is becoming. Clove nurtures a secret that no one knows except her brother. She is feeling so lost and alone. She is going through so much and feels beat down by the mistakes in her past and the choices she made with her love life. When they finally put aside their differences and have a conversation they both find out they like each other. When an incident comes to light of Liam's transgressions they make a breakthrough and their attraction grows, but is it enough? Liam is a playboy and Clove is naive. Can they change each other? Will they be able to get over their past and work it out? This is definitely a one-clicker.
Take the journey through this wonderful story and catch up with the Bayou Stix Men and their girls. Of course all of them are still as supportive as ever and they are still crazy, fun, and sarcastic. Love the Bayou Stix Series!
4 1/2 stars I loved reading about Liam changing his ways because he wanted to be a better person. Clove is Dade's little sister, and they've had a five year stretch where Liam could do nothing right as far as Clove was concerned. Liam has been living the rock star lifestyle, sleeping with almost any williing woman, total man-whore. That pisses Clove off, but Liam doesn't know why. There a quite a few things that happen that bring Clove and Liam together living in the same house. Clove herself is going through some things that initially no one knows about. Then one afternoon, a kiss changes everything between Clove and Liam. Clove runs away, and Liam doesn't really know why. Once everyone learns about what's going on with Clove, Liam has some hard decisions to make. He knows he's attracted to her, but doesn't know how she feels. Liam also knows he's going to have to change his lifestyle if he wants Clove to be part of his life. I loved reading about Liam and his Paw. After a conversation with his Paw, Liam decides to change, not just for himself, but to see if there's any chance for him and Clove. I loved that Liam and Clove took the time to talk to each other about the past that they shared, and their own individual pasts. When Clove tells Liam why they haven't been friendly for five years, Liam is filled with self-disgust. I felt badly for Liam not believing that he was good enough for Clove. I loved the way that Liam wanted to be there in all ways for Clove and was willing to take things slowly for her, putting her needs and wants before his. There were quite a few surprises in this latest Bayou Stix book, but they were all good. Syke has done a fabulous job keeping me guessing where all this is going, and I love it! I can't want for the next book, which is all about Dade and Melonie. I really want to read their story, from the little snippets of conversation between them in this book, it's going to be a really good one!! More Bayou Stix, please!!
In Alluring Turmoil, Skye introduced us to Jude Delecroix. Next, in Alluring Seduction, we met Jessie Adams. Now, in Alluring Temptation, we meet Liam Christianson. And, OH MY GOODNESS! I am pretty sure that Liam is my favorite member (so far!) of the Bayou Stix band. Skye has truly outdone herself with this man.
On the surface, Liam appears to be nothing but a male whore. Women come and go and he does not care about any of them. And, because of this Clove, who is the sister of one of his bandmates, can’t stand him. They are constantly at each other’s throats, but is it really anger or is it a mask for attraction?
Clove and Liam’s journey to a relationship is one of the most realistic I’ve ever read. Both of them have some serious baggage and because of that they both have up a wall and use various defense mechanisms to keep people away from their heart.
I truly enjoyed the previous books in the series, but Alluring Temptation is by far my favorite!!! Skye has written a book that touches on all sensory levels. Each book has some Louisiana flair and you can smell and almost taste the food mentioned. She writes with such great detail, that you can see the landmarks and even imagine the facial expressions of the characters. You can hear the dialogue as it is written in a way that regular, everyday folks can relate to. And, touch – with her books, you want to go inside of them and give hugs, a pat on the shoulder, or even a little more with the men LOL!
Sure, Bayou Stix is a band, but these aren’t your typical rock band books. Skye writes about the heart of each member and focuses on what lies beneath their rock star exterior. In each character (whether a band member, girlfriend, or a friend), I am reminded of something that we all want: someone to look past our looks and our life as the world sees it and to truly get to know us and what is in our heart.
Congrats to Skye Turner on writing another excellent book and I can’t wait for the next one!!!
I have said before that I love the way Skye Turner includes all previous characters in books and she did not disappoint. However, this wasn’t my favorite book in the series. While it did catch you up with old characters I felt like there was something missing in this book and I am just not sure what that was.
This book is about Clove, Dade’s baby sister who has come to live with him and has a little secret she is keeping from the close knit group. To make matters worse she secretly pines away for Liam, Dade’s best friend and band mate who is also living with Dade. Dade decides to take a vacation when Clove arrives leaving her to stay alone in the house with Liam. UGH!!! This drives Clove nuts because as you can imagine his whorish antics are above and beyond normal. As much as she pines away for him, she hates him at the same time for something he did years ago…Naturally something he doesn’t remember!!!! But what he does realize now that he is in the same house as her is that he has feelings for Clove, real honest to goodness feelings. Which is not something this man whore has ever experienced before and he is not sure how he feels about this.
Not only does what he did years ago to Clove come to light making him feel like a Grade A a$$...Clove’s secret is revealed and it’s a whopper!! I won’t ruin the surprise and tell you what both of these things are but will these revelations rip Dade and Clove apart or bring them closer together? I will say that while this part of the book was well written, it may have dragged on a bit and the internal conversations the characters had with themselves started to grate on my nerves, it just got to be too much. BUT, all around it was a fun love story and has a happy ending.
Ok, so I really don't think Skye can write a book that isn't HAWT! This one falls in line with the rest of the Bayou Stix series in that regard. Just like those before it, it only makes you look forward to what comes next!
Clove and Liam are exceptionally well defined characters. I loved the battles of will that they each fought against themselves and each other. The tug of war with emotions and lust was done just right.
Liam is a badass rocker playboy. The ladies love him and he doesn't shy away from it either. Most nights he is welcoming in a new fan. That is until his friend and band mate Dade, moves his little sister in with them. Kind of puts a cramp in a guys style having that kind of situation hanging around all the time. Seeing as they fight like cats and dogs at every turn, Liam can't wait to get out of there!
Clove, Dade's little sister, has come home from L.A. and it isn't quite what she expected. She isn't just moving home to her big brother's house, but into the house her brother shares with the notorious ladies man of the band, Liam. She cannot stand how he can just use women and forget them as soon as they've left.
As the tension builds between these two, no matter how much they can't stand each other and their completely different ways, that tension begins to turn into sexual tension. Which of course confounds them both!
How can you want to be with someone that makes you wanna yank your own hair out? Can you even think about being with someone that is the anti-you? Will either Clove or Liam find happiness at all? You have to find out on your own when you read Alluring Temptation yourself!
Wow, another amazing story of Bayou Stix. We have Liam, who is a player. He sleeps with a different girl every night. And then there is Clove, who is sweet and has only been with a couple of men. They are both living in Dade's house and boy do their personalities clash, like oil and vinegar or should I say fire and water. He hates her and she hates him, or do they?? She has already walked in on him and some floozy twice, but when Liam walks into the kitchen and sees Clove on the counter, he startles her and she starts to fall. When he catches her and is holding her close, there is an explosive kiss!! And that is the beginning of Liam's transformation. I have read all of the books in this series so far and this one was so very different. For one, even though there is foreplay, Liam and Clove don't actually have sex until 72% into the story, although the foreplay itself was HOT!! And second, while we get the alternating pov's, we also get what they are actually thinking, like a conversation they are having with themselves and those conversations at times were just hilarious. So the story had me laughing and at times there were tears, especially when Liam tells Clove about his family. Please take a chance and read this book, you will love it. There is a major plot in this story that I am not talking about, don't want to give spoilers, but way Skye lets the characters handle it was awesome. I am so looking forward to reading Dade's story next. I was gifted a copy of this book by the author.
The Bayou Stix series is one of my all time favorites. Book 3in the series is Alluring Temptation and is just as amazing as the others. It might even be the best one to date.
Skye gift for details is present here bringing back all the same well loved characters for Liam and Clove's story. Clove is Dade's little sister who has come home after rough break up in LA. Dade leaves her in Liam's care while he is out of town. Clove is subjected to Liam and his revolving door of women but admitts he is totally hot. Liam can't believe he starts to see Clove in a new light and that she might just be worth changing his man whore ways for. The journey is filled with twist and turns that will make you cry and laugh. You see the real man in Liam and become a champion for him and Clove.
I really enjoyed this installment of the series. It gave me the emotional level higher then all the others in this series at the perfect time in the continuing Saga of Bayou Stix. Another chart buster of a hit for Skye Turner! Can Not Wait to see the next story with Dade-- it promises to be really a show stopper.
I have had trouble with coming up with something to say for this review. Don't get me wrong. I loved Alluring Temptation just like I loved the rest of the Alluring series.
I laughed, cried, had some heart break then Skye fixed it all. I couldn't put it down.
I loved Liam and Clove! Liam was such a jerked but really he wasn't, he was almost... I said almost like Jessie! So don't twist my words ;-)
I fell in love with this series when we first met Jude in book 1. Most of these books your can read as a stand alone but I don't suggest it! You will miss the small details that keep everything intertwined
I admit that this book is not like the rest. Yes it's hot, makes you tingle but it's also sweet and loving and don't forget about the drama.
If you haven't read book 1, 2 and 2.5 I highly suggest you pick them up and read them now before this book arrives. Definitely a do not miss. Oh, and I forgot to mention that hot cover!
This book is for readers 18+ due to sexual interations and strong course language.
I was gifted a copy of this book in return for an honest review.
Liam Christianson, Bayou Stix rhythm guitarist, Greek God and gift to women, arrogant and number one thorn on Clove's side is generally loved by the opposite sex, except by her. She literally hates him and he has no idea why. They used to be friends and then she changed. Loath and hatred just pores out of her whenever he nears. Clove Rodrigue is dealing with a lot right now, she's living with her brother Liam and his slutty bandmate Liam. She is unemployed and broke. Her cheating ex-boyfriend ruined her life and is currently doing time for seducing a minor. And if things weren't tough enough, she walked in on Liam and another groupie yet again. The man is attractive as sin but treats women as crap. Including her. She knows he hates her with a passion. Just another mistake to add to the pile. But then a kiss changes everything and looking at someone she cares about as if he were the devil's spawn just became really difficult. Clove and Liam's story is intense, hot and incredibly sweet. The fourth tale of the series tells the story of the sweetest boy of the bunch while visiting with all our favorite bandmates, their girls and friends. I look forward to Dade's story :)

This is the third 5 star rated book in the Bayou Stix series. It is not a standalone. WOW!!!!!!!! A really great read--Contains every element to make an excellent story. I was immediately attached and couldn't put it down. Writing style and format was so smooth and easy to follow. A storyline focused and created around realistic enjoyable subject matter. Characters that are so well written and easy to bond. A beautiful love story between a yummy wild rock star and a soft heart broken female. You definitely want to take this journey - feel the emotions, catch up with old friends, find yourself in the storyline, find that opposites do attract, see how parenthood doesn't have to involve blood ties, how acceptance and determination strive off a good heart, - just full of life lessons. I highly recommend this book/series. AndreaAH
Another amazing instalment in the Bayou Stix series - I blinking well loved Liam's story. I read the whole thing in one sitting with a stupid grin on my face, it really is that good.
Liam is a complete womaniser, he takes what he wants and leaves. Left to keep an eye on his band mate's sister Liam finds himself at the mercy of a fire spitting hellcat, Clove, who seems to hate him. Clove has had the biggest crush on Liam for years but doesn't think she'd ever match his exacting standards when it comes to his stream of one night stands. A large secret and emergency suddenly changes how everyone thinks. Will Liam and Clove be able to overcome their differences?
Such a fun read and romance in bucket loads, I love this book, I love the series and I can't wait for the next one!
Contains spoilers beware!!!!I love this whole group of people. I'm so glad we get to keep up with the characters from the previous books too. This was not my favorite but I loved every minute of it. I'm a Jessie fan I can't help it lol. But Liam is sex on a stick and smoking hot. He falls hard for Clove and loves her and her baby completely. Not many men would take on a pregnant woman who is carrying another man's baby. Clove is such a feisty breath of fresh air. I loved her. I'm kinda disappointed we didn't get to their wedding and the birth of the baby. Hopefully those things will take place in the next book. I cannot wait to read about Dade, Cloves brother, and her obstetrician Dr. Bird. They met on vacation and have reconnected. Can't wait!
