After more than 10 years of being affiliated with homeschooling anytime I come across a product that would make a great resource to learn Spanish I must check it out. That's why I was drawn to Tomoson's promotion for Spanish / English Learning Program For Children. I completed the easy application and was approved for the promotion.
As I was reading MAPS / MAPPAS I soon realized that you could not only use it as a Spanish language course for children to learn Spanish but also as an English language course for children with Spanish as their mother language to learn English.
MAPS - MAPAS is the second bilingual children's book in the Happy Language Kids series by Suzy Liebermann. It is an excellent resource for teaching elementary school age children the vocabulary in English and Spanish of WHERE WE LIVE: in a house, in a city, in a state, in a country, on a continent, on a planet.
Each of the Happy Language Kids books corresponds with extra learning tools on the Happy Language Kids website. These extra practices allow your child to hear the pronounciation of the words and gain extra familiarity with the vocabulary words that they are reading in MAPS/ MAPPAS through the creative activities offered on the site.
I would recommend the HAPPY LANGUAGE KIDS bilingual book series for elementary school children MAPS / MAPAS to anyone interested in teaching Spanish / English language.

I think this is a very useful book. It has cute illustrations that really help in learning the words it is teaching. My daughter enjoys learning with these book quite a lot.

I have a strong believe that if children are taught a second language while they are young, they will do better in other aspects of life. That's why when I saw that Happy Language Kids wanted a review of their book Maps/Mapas, I was very happy to help them out.
Happy Language Kids was written by author Suzy Liebermann as a learning tool to help children learn another language and a little bit about about the culture. And Ms. Liebermann really did do a wonderful job making language learning fun.
Each book corresponds with extra learning tools on the Happy Language Kids website. That way if you or your child doesn't know Spanish, then your child can hear the words pronounced, and your child can repeat the words back. There is also a replay button that allows you to replay the word or phrase over and over until you get it right.
I love this book because it could be a learning tool for children who speak English to learn Spanish, or Spanish speaking children to learn English. Happy Language Kids has more books available for grades from Kindergarten to 5th grade, and would make a great addition to your home learning routine.

I read MAPS - MAPAS (HAPPY LANGUAGE KIDS - a bilingual book series for elementary school (English/ Spanish)) in exchange for honest review from Tomoson.
The book was written by Suzy Liebermann and published by Happy Language Kids. The book won Best Children's Book of 2013.
The book helps teach kids Spanish and English. The book is a quick read. Each page asks a question in Spanish with an English Translation. The English translation is on top, with a graphic, while the Spanish translation is on the bottom of the page.

a great easy and simply short lessons in Spanish and English!
I thought that this is pretty terrific great and an easy learning experience for the very young in elementary school or one maybe
brushing up on their Spanish or the other way around. I therefore I recommend this ebook especially for kids in grades k-6!

Maps/Mapas is a very short bilingual children's book. I love how simple it is and that it will help my children not only speak but also learn to read Spanish. This book is simple, short and fun.
