N ow on Amazon-Books, Jim Hanson’s new book is Poems on Living and Dying. It recognizes what most of us deny – namely that much of life is passage thr ough the dark side of struggle, madness, violence , and death. The aim is to recognize and cope with what is otherwise denied at our peril.
In this poetry collection, there is a hint of intense imagination and subtle fancy. At its best these poems have been composed in a plain and matter-of-fact style. The language of these poems is full of simplicity and directness.
