This book starts off where the first book ended.
Ella and Adam are both going through a tough time being seperated from each other. Adam went to Rio to sort out his problems with his father and left Ella behind.
And as everyone knows in the first weeks of being in a relationship it is hard when you are away from each other for so long.

And she decides to just go to Adam and try and help him sort out his problems. When she gets there Adam is a bit conflicted as he is happy to have her with him but also afraid of what he's father will do when he finds out about Ella.
But there love is so deep for each other that he can't live without her and just convinces himself that he will do everything to protect her from his father.

For me this book was more about Ella and Adam getting to know each other or rather Ella getting to know more about Adam's history and also for them to be together as a couple.

The next book should be the best part in this series as I am hoping that we will then come face to face with Adam's father and see where this whole drama is going to end up!

Definitely 3-3.5 stars for me.

I received this book in exchange for an honest review.A great continuation of Adam and Ella's story, it was sweet, sexy with a touch of suspense mixed in there as well. The story follows Adam and Ella after they have been separated. Ella can't take the distance any longer and sensing there is something wrong with Adam she jumps on a plane to Brazil and goes to find Adam. Adam is glad that Ella has followed him as he can't bare the separation, but he fears for Ella and his family's safety with the threats from his cruel father. Can he keep them safe and can love conquer all. A great read again, can't wait for the next addition.

The story begins not too long after Adam kisses Ella goodbye and heads to Brazil. He still feels the need to protect her from his tortured past. In Brazil he sees the damage that his father Claudio has inflected. Though his mother made light of it the bandage on her face that only serves to infuriate him. He still hasn't forgiven himself for his mom getting hurt when he was younger her limp a painful reminder. All the while worrying about his family and doubling security he worries about Ella back in Newport. Wanting her with him but afraid of what his father will do once he knows about her. Back in Newport while continuing to work on her book she misses Adam. She realizes just how much he's changed her life for the better. The phone calls between them have become less frequent so she decides despite the danger to leave her life in Newport to be with Adam the man she loves. She arrives in Brazil at his family home to first be greeted by bodyguards but are then welcomed by his sister and mother. When she wakes from a nap she sees just how happy Adam is to see her there. Despite the unrelenting threats from his father he manage to romance Ella and show her everything Brazil has to offer. The beaches and the fantastic cuisine she could see what was to love about the beautiful and vibrant country. She falls more in love with Adam and instantly falls in love his family. Adam begins to freely allow himself to love but most importantly be loved. Adoring Ella with everything he had brought them to a new level of intimacy neither thought possible. He begin to open up to Ella more about his tortured childhood and the people in it. How he was locked in a small room to finish projects for his father(which explained his need for a big bright home) and was forbidden to have friends or someone love him. The one that claimed to be in love with him in childhood (Vee) was locked away. Which that same person came back to stake her claim but to no avail. Adam and Ella is so much alike in many ways no wonder they were drawn to each other. Adam lived his childhood to make his father happy which left him miserable thankfully he had the love of his mother and sister to keep him going. Then Ella's parents? Even though she had her best friend she had never known love until she met Adam to be genuinely loved and adored she never knew it could be like this. Different sides to the same coin Adam and Ella are blessed to have found each other. Even though the fear is real the love they have for each other makes them even stronger to conquer and persevere through it. It'll be interesting to see how things will be when they won't have to live with the looming threat of his father. So much for a guy Adam's age to worry about. Hopefully he can find what he needs to be rid of his father and really live his life as he was meant too. He essentially escape one emotional prison to only be placed in another one. Though thankfully there's nothing his father could do to diminish Adam and Ella's love for each other.

This book continues on where Captivated finished off, Adam has left for Brazil, Ella is at a complete loss now that he is gone, she has finally allowed herself to feel like she is worthwhile and he has left allowing all her old self doubt and insecurities to resurface, will he really come back to her or has she allowed her heart to be trampled all over again?

Even tho her and Adam continue to talk on the phone the calls become less and less, is she losing him? You know what they say about both Brazilian and Italian men they love to romance the ladies but don't stick with just one! But then in one phone call she realises that Adam is hiding something from her and with his persistent warnings that its to keep her safe, Ella decides she has had enough and goes to Brazil to offer what support she can!

After arriving in brazil she sees that things are a lot more complicated that she thought with Adams father being the cause of all the problems, can one man ruin what they have through greed and ego?

I don't want to rite to much and give away he story but really enjoyed this book,it gives your more insight int he back story of Adam and shows what type of man he really is, would highly recommend this novel and can't wait to see what happens next!!

received this book in exchange for a review. It starts off exactly where the first book left off. Adam, a hot Italian/Brazilian, needs to go back him to Brazil to take care of some business. Mainly his father. Adam didn't want to bring Ella, his shy naive girlfriend, with him because it would be too dangerous for her & he couldn't risk her life. They tried talking on a video phone but calls weren't coming as often anymore. Ella decides to take thing in her own hands because she missed Adam so much that she quit work to go & be with him. However, he had no idea. Adam was surprised but happy. While together, they did many fun things but had to be careful too. Adam slowly released his secrets to Ella about the circumstances surrounding the reasons he had to come home. However, there was still something he wasn't telling her. This book was about them getting to know one another better while trying to figure out what to do with Adam's father. There was adventure, drama, sex, family time, more sex.... This story, in my opinion, was a little drawn out & I was kind of disappointed to find out that I have to read the third book to find out the outcome. I'm curious to know what happens with Adam & his father. However, it was nice to get to know the couple a little better. I'm looking forward to see what's in store for Adam & Ella.

Story opens with Ella going through changes over the departure of Adam. Nothing has been the same since he left. It continues from "Captivated" the story of Adams and Ella's meeting and the beginning of their relationship.

Ella is heartbroken with Adam being away in his homeland, Brazil. Charmed finds the timid and broken Ella deciding she will not sit around any longer and wait on phone calls from Adam, but will go after her man, who she feels she cannot live without. She feels she can be more benefit by being in Brazil with him and not sitting around waiting for his return, and can help him through whatever he is going through.

When she gets to Brazil, a surprised but happy Adam welcomes her. The story goes deeper into their relationship, and the bond she forms with his mother and sister. Ella also finds out that Adam's problems are bigger than she knew, but she is willing to stand by his side. Adam's concern is that Ella could be in danger from his father, who is a danger to his entire family.

The author, as usual, gives great detail of Brazil. The country, people, language, and food are bought out in the book very well. The third part of this romance/suspense continues in "Cherished", the final installment.

Charmed picks up right where Captivated left off - Adam is on his way to Brazil leaving Ella in Newport. Ella has to cope without Adam who made her come alive when he entered her life. This is a real struggle for her given her history. She even does something risky which seems to be the needed catalyst to send her to Brazil showing how much she has grown since meeting Adam. I really liked the strength and resolve Ella shows us in this installment. As shocked as Adam is to see her in Brazil he is very happy that she came, he was miserable without her however she is now in danger from his father just like the rest of his family. Ella slowly learns what this danger could involve sadly more from Adam's sister than from Adam himself. If there is one issue I have with Adam it is that he isn't forthcoming with Ella. He has a past and is trying to keep this from Ella but she needs to know/understand due to the danger in his life. This theory is proven again towards the end when someone from Adam's past surfaces which could push Ella away. Really enjoying the love story between Adam and Ella - there love is sweet, sensual and sexy.

Adam and Ella's love is tried to the limit as Adam leaves for Rio and leaves Ella behind in Newport.

If you ever loved anyone deeply, specially your first love, you can understand how impossible it is for Ella to continue to live without Adam. Even his calls are slowly becoming sparse and finally days go by without hearing from him.

You feel the desperation in Ella's heart at the thought that the only man she has ever loved would soon be totally gone from her life. The author takes us through Ella's thought process, as Ella decides to abandon her current life and go after Adam. What ensues next is rollercoaster ride of emotions, proving that Ella is a strong character about to step out of her comfort shell and flourish as an independent woman full of courage.

I was biting my nails as Adam's mysteries are revealed. Ella must decide how strongly she feels for him and whether to stay and fight alongside her lover.

This story just keeps getting better and better. You must pick up the last installment of this series and read the conclusion to Adam and Ella's quest for total freedom.

Charmed starts off exactly from the ending of Captivated, Adam has left for Brazil, leaving Ella in California to take care of what ever needs his prompt attention in Brazil. Ella is Sad, feeling helpless and just plain wondering where and if Adam is ok and when will he call me or if he will even come back to her. Ella tries to pull herself together one day by going to visit his home in California and realizes she can't stay in California with out him, she needs him, wants him and can't live without him. A surfing accident make her come to the conclusion she must leave and find him.....can she find him in a different world she know nothing about ? Yes research on the computer can help but can it be enough to find him ? The beautiful descriptions of Brazil in this book are magnificent ! From the country side, to the night life, to the waves and blue seas for amazing surfing sound spectacular ! Can there strong love for each other get them though his troubles, his past acquaintances and just real life it's self ? I say YES !! This book was more amazing than the first book !

Charmed continued where Captivated left off. Ella was head over heels in love with Adam and he left her in Newport to go back to Brazil. He did not give her much of an explanation as to why, just that he needed to see his family and dealt with his father. Ella's life was not the same without Adam so she surprised him by showing up at his mom's house in Brazil.

In Charmed, you learned more about Adam and how he was abused by his father. Ella and Adam's relationship continued to growth. Of course, as always Emily created awesome sex scenes between Adam and Ella. Their attraction and chemistry for each other were off the chart.

I got to know Brazil through Ella's eyes. I loved that how Emily sucked the readers in to the story. She wrote awesome details to describe the Brazilian's culture and life. I loved how this book took me through many different places in Brazil. I look forward to read Cherished, the final installment of the series.

Adam and Ella's relationship is pushed to the limits when Adam leaves Ella behind and goes back to Rio.
I love that this book picks up where the first one left off. Adam has gone back to Brazil to take care of some personal matter. Ella is left in Newport without knowing when or if Adam will return. Not willing to wait around any longer Ella makes a bold move and sets off to Rio to find Adam leaving her life behind. While in Brazil we learn more into Adam's background and what it was like growing up under his father. The love and trust between Ella and Adam grows stronger day by day. Now that Adam can't keep Ella safe by keeping her at a distance he worries for her safety and dose everything he can to keep her out of harms way. I can't wait to see how their story unfolds.

I love how this author makes me feel like I'm in the story while reading. It is almost like I'm seeing Rio through Ella's eyes. I highly recommend reading Charmed and picking up Cherished and Craved once finished.

This is the second book which features Adam and Ella. It starts where it left off in the previous book. Ella is hopelessly in love with Adam but she wishes she can help him with his problem that is always weighing heavy on his mind. But to help him she needs Adam to open up to her more and speak about his problem in more depth. He dies share bits with her but not enough for all the truth to be laid out onto the table. They are living in an idyllic world but they have to be guarded everywhere they need to go. Ella is now bonding with Adams family and gets along with them well. It is after one such visit that she comes home and finds a beautiful dark haired women in the sitting room waiting for Adam to come in. Is she something else that Adam has chosen not to share with Ella, can Ella forgive him for this. All will be revealed in the next chapter of Adam and Ella! Nice little story written well with some twists and turns. I feel that the best is yet to come as we move on to book 3 of 4.

This is the second book in the Adam And Ella series.
It picks up right where the first one left off. Adam is on his way back home to Brazil, leaving Ella behind. Ella has a hard time with the separation. It gets longer and few in-between the phone calls they share.
With Ella already having issues with her self esteem, this separation isn't helping any.
Ella decides to just do it, she hops on a plane and before she knows it she is in Rio looking up Adam and his family.

This book is good, but not a lot is covered. Its more of getting to know each other. There is danger with Adams father still and nothing much comes from stopping the danger in this book.
Its nice to see how well Adam and Ella are together and the love they share. Again this book is them spending time together and Ella learning more about Adam and his family.

WOW - Emily Jane Trent just keeps writing and the series just keeps getting better and better!!! I mean who doesn't love a good love story. A story that also has some personal twist written into it along the way!!!

I love that Charmed starts right where Captivated left off!!! Adam had to return to Brazil for an urgent matter. He doesn't tell Ella why - thinking that this will protect her from any danger. But Ella just can NOT live without Adam in her life. Ella pools her funds and flys to Brazil to surprise Adam. When she arrives, she finds out that Adam is having a hard time without her in his life. Adam finally tells Ella a lot of his secrets - but not all of them. I don't write spoilers - but OMG, this is an awesome love story and you (like me) will find it hard to put this book down!!!!

Time to start book 3, Cherished -- so I can see what happens between Adam & Ella next!!!

I received this book in exchange for an honest review. I like that it starts off where the first book left off. Adam must return to Brazil on an urgent matter. In an effort to protect her, he doesn’t take Ella with, and doesn’t provide any information as to why or how long he’ll be gone. Ella, who has just fallen head over heels, cannot stand the separation and the “not knowing”. After quitting her job, she’s off to Brazil to find out what is going on, in hopes of helping in some way. While Adam should be angry, he more surprised and happy that she has taken this risk, all for him.

In this book, Adam and Ella get to know each other better. There is some adventure, and a lot of passion as their secrets gradually begin to unfold.

Ready for book 3, Cherished, to see where we go from here.

After the cliffhanger in Book 1 - how could you not go out and get this and immediately read it!!

After spending glorious weeks together Adam has to return home to take care of business. He promises to keep in contact with Ella and promises to come back to her. As the weeks drag on - the communication is occurring less and less. Ella is distraught and makes up her mind that she is going to Adam. Even I was convinced that Ella was getting left behind.

Once there, we find out that Adam was really only protecting Ella and that his intentions are good. He still tries to potect Ella. however more and more of the truth comes out about his past. THeir relationship and love grows and grows for each other.

Then there is a twist in the book that left me cursing Adam. It seems to work out. On to book 3 to see how this love story keeps going.

This book is the second in the Adam and Ella series. I liked this book better than the first. Ella is becoming braver, stronger and her recently acquired worldliness has given her a whole new dynamic. She blossoms with unconvention and shines under pressure. I have no doubts that she will become Claudio's most vicious and surprising nemesis when their impending confrontation comes to fruition.

Adam is just Adam. He doesn't need to change. As he is, he is delicious, brilliant, loving, passionate, protective...in many ways he is still so much a boy. But in business, as a protector and as a lover....he is 100% man! He just needs to give Ella more information and more credit to handle the whole truth when it is revealed. I have a sneaking suspicion that she will be the one to save them both....

At the end of the first book in this series, Adam has been called home to Brazil. But Ella can't take not hearing from Adam and constantly fearing for his safety. They talk constantly. During their last call Adam tells her he doesn't know the next time he will be able to call because it may not be safe. Ella realizes that she needs to do something to bring Adam back to Newport. When the first idea doesn't work, Ella puts plan B into motion. When Adam realizes what she has done, he fears even more for her safety. And then, we meet Vee. A wench thrown into the mix.

I love this series and absolutely love this author's writing style. So much detail. You know exactly what's going on with out all the unnecessary conversations.

Charmed continues from captivated. Adam left to go to brazil to take care of family matters. He leaves Ella in Newport. Ella is missing him so much that she decided to quit her job and go to brazil. Adam is afraid that his father will hurt his family and Ella. You get to meet Adams family, his mom and his sister. Ella falls in love with his family. Ella and Adam relationship grows. She gets to understand Adam. The book is very sexy, and breath taking. They never get enough of each other. A short good read. I'm looking forward to book 3 of Ella and Adam. It looks like it can go in many different ways.

The Intensity of the Love between these two are extraordinary!!!!!!!!!!!!! This book teaches you that even though you may not think you have the strength to love and be loved, You can if you have the love and support of the people around you. Never give up hope even when there was nothing to compare it to. I can not express how i loved this series I recieved a copy for a review and i am telling you that i was captivated and charmed by the overflowing love and support the Bianci family shows!!!! Kudos............ And i really want to visit Sugarloaf!!!!!

Received this for an honest review. Adam is swoon worthy. He is extremely sexy, loving and gentle. They story is unfolding more and more and I like the unknown aspect with the father lurking around. I like a little mystery :) it adds to the story. The love between Adam and Ella is growing day by day and I like watching it unfold. I am charmed by these Characters and can't wait to see what happens :)

With Adam gone back to Brazil Ella finds life hard to live. She can't stand to be away from him. So she decides to pack up and move to Brazil without him knowing. What she finds waiting for her is another story. Will Ella be able to deal with Adams past?
I loved this book. Ella and Adam share a once in a lifetime love that just keeps getting better and better. You are going to live it

The twist and bravery of Ella is out standing. Finding out more about Adam and his dark secrets shines a bright light onto the whole issue at hand. this is worth a read.

Bit disappointing with the way some of the scenes are written but the book is out standing.

This book was better than the first. There was more detail to the story and it didn't seem so repetitive as the first was.
