I was rockin’ with this book until that ridiculous plot twist was unnecessarily added to the storyline. What’s sad is, this book started out really good. I loved me some Mia and Jax. From the moment she walked into The Tipsy Grill, these two were hot for each other. Although he was caught up in a situation that probably should’ve kept them apart, it ended up making Jax want Mia even more. Jax said eff that contract, Lynn, and her daddy because, he was gon’ be with his beloved one way or the other. That’s his pet name for her. Not mine. All is going will with the love birds and their future is looking bright until that damn plot twist. Insert Justin Timberlake GIF here because, ma’am, what were you thinking?!!! I’m sorry but, that whole ordeal was absolutely farfetched and it completely diminished the drama between Jax, Lynn, and Michael. That’s the part of the storyline I wanted to see play out to the end. That plot twist was just not needed and, in my opinion, took away from what started out as a good book. Sweet came in hot but, that ending just fizzled out for me. The three stars is because, I really liked Mia and Jax and B. Love hinted at the possibility of seeing more of them in the Rose Valley Hill Series. This was definitely an interesting start to the Tennessee Whiskey series. I can’t wait to read Mel Dau and K.L. Hall’s books.

Jax & Mia

This was a cute short instant romance….Mia met Jax on her first night in town…the two end up hanging out talking and hooking up…but, there are a few twists in this novella….Needless to say Jax & Mia find their way to their HEA.

Sweet yes, then sour, and savage? Whew! I was certainly not ready for this thang here! Mia and Jax were so damn cute together, and I was ready for a syrupy sweet love with an HEA. Well.... things became a bit bumpy when pieces of Jax's life were revealed, that could ruin what he was building with Mia. I was sure that she would run, but they were able to stick it out. THEN, my world was upended with that revelation! B. said let me flip that ish like this!! Had me hollering Jax who dis woman?? 🤯 Mia? Girl, what the what? Damn! Not only is her past jaw dropping, but to find out how these people were connected to Jax had me bout to hyperventilate! Jax got some gangsta in him huh? His reaction was totally unexpected, but very necessary. Glad that these two were able to find their happiness in the end. But I need more of them, cause their backstories are too interesting not to explore. Good read! 👍👍👍

This book was everything and held my attention from the very first page. Jax is everything. I love him and the relationship he had with Mia. I hope we get an update on them. I definitely recommend it.

Lol i don’t think i have ever done this but i cant take anymore of this. It breaks my heart but i had to DNF this book at 79%🤦🏽‍♀️
Chile ngl this book ate thats why i gave it a 3⭐️. Where you lost me at was after the plot twist!!🤚🏽 Now if the plot twist had happened at like 40% into the book i would have been fine, but at the end of the book? when im waiting for the happy ending?!?! Yeah NO!!
Now let me say i tried after the plot twist i went with it were i gave up is once they explained the relation to one another, like was it really that necessary??🤦🏽‍♀️chile i like messy but this was not it🤚🏽
Its so bad i dont even want to see the epilogue🫢

This book was so good it had me crying!!!

I don't know what I expected when I started reading this book. But I was pleasantly and happily surprised. First of all the synopsis was very mysterious. That got my attention. But when I started getting into the story I was quickly captivated by Jax & Mia. They dynamic situation Jax was in had me giving him the side eye. Wondering what games he was playing. And Mia was that kind of character you wanted a part of your crew. But soon I was all team Jax and Mia. And Ms. Charlene just captured my heart! She reminded me of my grandmother. Such a sweet soul that took no mess from anyone. But what I was not prepared for were the sudden twists in the story. I was taken aback and found myself saying, wait a minute..what just happened? Yes! The twists kept coming! This book me on a WHOLE new journey and I LOVED it. But that epilogue gave me life! This author is new to me. But she just gained a new fan. I will definitely be passing this book along on my social media accounts. I can't wait to check out her catalog. I highly recommend this book. ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Mia and Jaxson were truly sweet together. Jaxson’s life was indeed complicated when they met but he was determined they would find away to work around or through his situation.

And then there was sweet sweet Ms.Charlene ❤️ who was Mia’s Rock and reason for moving to Rose Hill Valley, a wonderful place to start a new life for herself. Meeting Jax was unexpected but Mia knew that there was something extraordinary between them that could not be denied. Something really ,really sweet. Oh and did I say supper supper passionate 🔥 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

Well just when I was feeling extra warm and fuzzy B.Love threw a curve Ball that I could have never imagined 👀 😳. It was one of those …”Wait,what is really happening …OMG!!!!”😂😂 That’s all I’m saying because I want future readers to be just as surprised as I was 😂😂

Whew Chile…this book this book this book. Mia and Jax experience instant attraction when they meet at his bar. They end up burning up the sheets on the night they met. Mia thought they were on the same page but Jax was tripping the next day when she pulled up at his club. Jax was trying to protect Mia from the drama called his life. You see, Jax has a whole wife!! Yes, a mf’ing wife! 🤯 He explains that they have a contractual arrangement that expires in two years. Mia wasn’t feeling Jax after he blew her off but she came around after he explained his situation. I’m gonna be honest y’all. The wife situation had me feeling some kind of way. 😬 I kept an open mind cause I wanted to see what B. Love had in store for me. Well, I was not disappointed. When I tell you the plot twist blew my mind more than the wife situation. I wasn’t ready!!

Anyway, Jax and Mia ended up handling their business and working everything out. I must say B. Love did that. I thoroughly enjoyed this book.

Unconditional love and support

Sweet (The Tennessee Whiskey Series book 1) by B. Love is a good and interesting read. I’m fan of this author’s works. B. Love did a great job. It’s well written and phenomenal page.

Mia and Jax met each other at the bar. They have a great chemistry, connection and communication but they have their problems to dealing with other. I am happy for Jax is opening up his personal problem with Lynn to Mia. Also, I am happy for Jax is willing to have conversation and ending his fake relationship with Lynn as adult before he starts his real relationship with Mia but Lynn is not ready to let him go.

Highly Annoyed

I typically like B. Love’s books, but this one had me highly annoyed for so many different reasons. The book started out great, but quickly took a dive. I was immediately turned off by the fact that Jax was married and failed to tell Mia before he slept with her. Then there were so many unnecessary twist and turns in the book, including the plot twist on who Mia really was. At the end of the day, they both turned out to be liars. I had to remind myself that I was supposed to believe that these two were 35 and 38 going through this level of foolishness. I’m actually glad that this was a short read, because I could barely stand it to the point where I was skipping pages.

Definitely not my cup of tea. The book synopsis needed way more detail. I probably could have spared myself from wasting time on this book.

All Good!

This was just a terrific story ,with characters that kept it real about their feelings and what kind d of relationship they wanted. I loved the fact that the heroin was willing to let the man she loves go as not to become a homewrecker. This story has a little bit something for everyone and you are not going g to be disappointed when you find out that H/H are both gangster. This was a hit right out the gate!

I loved Mia and Jax but their connection was a shocker…Mia was sweet as pie and Ms Charlene warned her about Jax ….she went to him for the truth but she was in his heart after that one night so he came clean about his situation…now When violence hits home Mia let’s Jax know about her past and what a bad azz she is but he lets her know he also is unknowingly linked to her past and begins to take names and death dates this was a great start to this series

Mia and Jax were off to a great start...then boom! While this was enjoyable, I felt like the plot twist (one helluva turn) deserved more development. I'm looking forward to reading what's next in this series. B. Love is an amazing talent and has assembles quite the roster so I know it won't disappoint.

At first I didn’t think I would like this book, because I wanted more than a hit it & quit it affair. Since I’m a B-Love fan, I kept reading and I got EVERYTHING I WANTED AND MORE from these characters!! Plot twist

This book was so good and I really enjoyed it. Mia and Jax were so cute together and I loved how they built their relationship off their genuine connection from talking and getting to know each other. Perfection

This was a quick awesome read!! Mia and Jax were a beautiful couple! Their love was explosive and this wasn’t your typical meet fall in love story. The twist and turns, the journey of it all kept me on my toes! I greatly appreciated this read! It fed my soul!! It wasn’t super deep but the right amount and romance and suspense that I needed!!

The book starts off as your typical love story, but marriage by name only with Jax and Lynn throw me for a loop. Then, Charlene end up dead was a curveball for real. Mia admits her former occupation and the person that trained her to be that way. Make you think like damn! This was a great novella.

It's crazy how both Mia and Jax were keeping secrets from each other but little did they know that they were connected in so many ways. I hate that Charlene had to lose her life the way she did. I am glad that Mia walked out on faith and gave Jax a chance even after learning the truth able him. This was an okay read. I just wish it was longer.

Love at first sight

I just love the instant connection Mia and Jax had, that chemistry was hot. It was crazy to see how they already had a connection because of Haze sick self but I am glad they took the time to build their relationship. Great story
