Noah and Clare story picks up right where Mine to Keep ended. Clare, a woman trying to shake her past. Her secrets threaten her entire existence, she finally realises that in order to live her life she has to seek help. She finds it in Noah, a man with secrets just as dark as hers, but asking for his help comes at a price. She has to let go of her inner demons.

Claire has never let herself get close to anyone before, but when she tries to keep Noah at arms length, Noah shows her that, he isn't one to be easily swayed. She finally allows him into her heart, but enemies from her past will not allow her to be happy.

Noah's life hasn't always been the one he lives now. He's a savvy businessman, own hotels across the country. He never sleeps with same woman twice. That is until he meets Claire. And with one taste, he realises that he can never let her go.

The story is filled with twists and turns that will keep you guessing right till the end. The drama is unbelievable, the mystery will have the sleuth in you jumping up and down with joy. Everyone is a suspect, and then they're not. Backwards and forwards with each clue you get! The authors writing is very engaging and the story is quite interactive. I honestly felt like a part of the plot and I just had to figure out "whodunnit"

Noah is your ultimate alpha male, hard, gritty and blunt. I loved him! Claire although broken was not weak and she didn't annoy me like the usual heroine playing damsel in distress(the books I read have a lot of those)

What I also liked was the fact that even though Claire isn't weak, her strength didn't overshadow Noah's alphamaleness (yes that's a word). I hate a heroine who is so cocky or sure of herself she ends up emasculating the hero.

Final Thoughts

I really enjoyed this book, it was so much better than the first two. I may have had a slight problem near the end but I decided not take away stars because I was actually being a little insensitive well actually a lot insensitive. But that's just me.

"We touch, we kiss, and we ignite."

P.S. I buddy read this book with My Fave Skank

★★★★ 4.5 'PASSIONATE, OBSESSIVE, WHODUNIT' STARS.

Mine to Hold is the third part of the "Mine-series" by Cynthia Eden and once again, the author managed to create a fast-paces, sexy, suspenseful read that kept me hooked from the very first page until the very last one. Unlike the first two books in the series, that were focused on Trace and Skye, this time the story is about Noah York, Trace's old friend and former colleague, and Claire Kramer, who we also met in the previous book Mine to Keep. Although the story's main characters are different than the one's for the previous two books, I would recommend reading the previous books first because there are certain elements that are a continuation of book one and two of the series.

Claire Kramer has been through a lot in her life. She's already experienced her fair share of loss and heartbreak and still, demons from her past keep haunting her. Even though, her past has marked her, she's still strong and determined to make the best out of life. She's a survivor. But, when yet another life experience knocks her down, she decides to turn to the one person left to help her, Noah York.

Noah York is used to always being in control. His character already managed to intrigue me in the previous parts of the series, so I was very curious to find out more about him and the many mysteries he seemed to keep. He's the perfect type of alpha male, he's a rich, powerful hotel owner with a past full of fighting and killing. Even though, he's left that world behind, he's still the same calculated fighter with a lethal instinct. Especially when the things or persons closest to him are being threatened. If there's one person who'd to be able to protect Claire, it's supposed to be Noah...

I won't say much more about the storyline, because that would ruin the fun of reading the story. What I like most about Cynthia Eden's novels is that they keep surprising you until the very last page. The many twists and turns constantly keep you on your toes and just when you think you've found out what's going on, something unexpected happens that turns everything upside down. This series never becomes predictable or boring, that's for sure! If you're looking for a sexy thriller, filled with action and suspense, I would highly recommend giving this series a try!

Feminists beware! Mr. Noah's numminess may not be for you...but I sure liked him ;)

MY SYNOPSIS
Noah and Claire made their first appearance in Trace and Skye's story...the sexual tension was already palpable, and the stoic and seemingly reserved Noah already snagged my interest. Claire's background came to light, and it's a horrific one. At sixteen years old, her abusive and possessive boyfriend shot her parents and tried to kill her after she attempted to leave him. Her only other family member, her sister, was killed when Skye's stalker went on his killing rampage.

Now, with Noah's invitation to come to him for help if she ever needed it, Claire arrives in New York in a last ditch effort to get a job and live her life, for what it's worth. Her ex's family has blamed her for his incarceration and mental instability, and they are a powerful family capable of ruining any chances Claire ever has at a normal life. But they can't ruin her job with Noah...this man's been waiting for Claire to come to him for the last six months. But he wants more from her than her employment. He just wants her. And he intends to have her.

When psycho ex's family once again tries to stir up trouble and murders start to take place, everyone seems to be a suspect; including Noah and Claire. But Noah's mission to have Claire for his own means that he will use all of his considerable influence and power as a VIP of New York City to protect what he now considers to be his woman. A man with a violent past and no real ties to anyone but his brothers in arms, once Noah falls, he does it with no reservations. His combination of ruthlessness born of necessity and his power that comes from money means that nothing will get to Claire, not while he's alive.

MY THOUGHTS
Once again, Cynthia Eden weaves one hell of a "whodunnit" story stuffed full of action and intrigue. I've yet to read a predictable book by this phenomenal author. Each villain has a different agenda, but obsession seems to rule, and this villain was no exception.

The sex...
**sweating, salivating, shaking**
Unparalleled sex that rides the line of erotic but never manages to cross...just barely staying mainstream. Eden is really talented about using exactly the right words to be super hot and titillating but never over the top. She uses sex to bring her couple together both physically and emotionally, and she utilizes it throughout the story, not just thrown in as a romance genre duty. Sex and seduction are a tool of her trade, and she wields them to perfection!

While I do like the alpha men, I have to admit that Noah rode the line of being a bit too chauvinistic for my taste. He seemed at times to disregard Claire's wants in lieu of what he thought she needed. Now, to argue with myself really quickly, Claire was quite the needy little thing at the beginning of the book, and it did take some time for her to act like she could stand on her own. But I sort of felt that Noah should have been trying to help her with her self confidence as well as trying to convince her how much she wanted and needed him.

As always, I'm always impressed by Cynthia Eden. I'm now (already) hoping against all hope that Drake gets his own story. I fell quite in love with him during this book. He actually gave Claire some hard truths and tender moments that I felt Noah didn't, and he really endeared himself to me. He obviously has a protective streak, and I'm ready to see him fall.

4.25 Steamy and Suspenseful Stars

After so many years of going through the motions of life, she actually made him feel alive.

There are 2 things I am almost guaranteed when I pick up a book by Cynthia Eden: A steamy romance with a protective and possessive alpha hero that is to die for, and a suspenseful story that will keep me at the edge of my seat from beginning to end.

After being introduced to Noah and Claire back in Mine to Keep I just knew that their story would be sizzling. And I was not disappointed.

After a horrific tragedy in her teens that cost her both her parents, and the recent brutal murder of her sister, Claire is running. That's all she knows how to do, move from place to place and make no attachments. Especially to a man. But then when she has no other choice, she finds herself turning for help to the only man that has tempted her in over 9 years.

Noah is rich and successful, but beneath his expensive suit he is a man with a dark past and even darker secrets.

He doesn't hold on to any woman for longer than a night, but for some reason he can't seem to get Claire off of his mind. He knows that he must have her. And when Claire's past comes back to threaten her, he knows that he will stop at absolutely nothing to protect her.

I loved this book. Noah was the perfect combination of dark and broody, possessive, and sexy as hell.
I wanted to fuck you from the first moment we met."
She tried to suck in a deep breath.
"You feel so good."
"Will you scream for me again?"

I also liked that Claire wasn't a meek little mouse. She's been through so much in her life, and she is still vulnerable from her past but she still had this strength at the core of her. I thought she was the perfect match for Noah and his past. I loved watching their relationship develop.

One of my favorite things about Cynthia Eden's book is that she not only gives you dual POVs, but she also give you a peak inside the villain's head. It really spikes up the suspense of the story.

I have to admit that I had a feeling who the bad guy was around the 20% mark, so I wasn't all that shocked when the truth was revealed. But then when you think everything is all sunshine and rainbows Ms. Eden throws in a twist and a hell of a shocking surprise at the end.

Mine to Hold was my favorite book out of the series, and I can't wait for future installments.

On a side note:
Please please please for the love of all that's holy, can we get a book for Drake. How can you tease me like this, Cynthia? You give me hints and peaks at a damaged and broken man and expect me to wait patiently?!! I'm dying! DYING over here! And no, I'm not exaggerating dammit! I need, must have Drake's book.
Now I am off to internet stalk the author to find out if and how soon I can get my hands on the deliciousness that is Drake. And I thank you

Update 10.23.13
So after internet stalking the author, I just got a confirmation that we are indeed getting a book for Drake. Who's doing a pervy happy dance right now? THIS GIRL!

***4 Love and Obsession Stars***

Let me start off by saying romantic suspense is not a go-to genre for me. But every time I finish I Cynthia Eden book, I question my decision making and tastes. WHY am I not reading more of this!?! I absolutely love Cynthia Eden’s books. Her writing style is fast paced, sexy, engaging and above all completely consuming. I have a hard time putting her books down. And this book was no exception.

Claire Kramer has a dark and ugly past. At the young of age of sixteen she fell for the wrong guy. Ethan Harrison came from a wealthy and politically influential southern family. He became obsessed with Claire…and if he couldn’t have her, NO ONE could. He kills her parents for giving her the idea of getting away from him and holds her hostage too. Luckily, the cops arrive on time before he has the opportunity to kidnap her, or worse, kill her. With Ethan locked away in jail, his father blames Claire for his family’s downfall. She manipulated and seduced his son. And he will not rest until Claire gets what’s coming to her. Claire has run out of options. She must now turn to a man she met a few months ago under less than ideal circumstances...Noah York.

”Then you’ll have to choose…if you want to keep working for me or if you want to fuck me.”

Noah York is a man with blood, death and secrets in his past. He’s a man who lives a tightly controlled life. A wealthy hotel mogul who doesn’t keep a woman more than a day or two. He doesn’t need the complications or the emotions. But Claire is different. He felt a twinge of something when they met in Mine to Keep. She’s strong. She’s beautiful. And she’s a survivor. He feels the need to protect her. To shield her from more pain. To ravage her. The desire is strong, but so is the danger. Can Noah keep Claire safe from those set to destroy her? Can he find a way to keep his control and make Claire his? What happens if he loses that control? Where is the line between obsession and love?

”The need doesn’t stop with you. The more I have you, the more it grows. The more I want.”

Oh boy! Cynthia Eden takes you on one hell of a roller coaster ride. This book is an intense guessing game. I was changing my mind right up until the surprising twist in the last moments. Trying to untangle the mess that is the Harrison family while trying to make sure that my kindle doesn’t spontaneously combust from the intense inferno that is Noah York...well let’s just say I had my work cut out. Noah and Claire were electric. They were intense. They were fierce. And they were HOT!

Claire may come off as a delicate flower, broken, vulnerable and fragile…she is anything but. As has been my experience with this series, Cynthia Eden’s heroines have a quiet strength. They don’t need to be loud, sassy or in your face. It’s an inner strength that shines through effortlessly and when it matters most. And her heroes……yeah, where does one stand in line for them? They are alpha. They take charge. They SATISFY. But above all, they’re an intriguing combination of strength and vulnerability. Even they have their weaknesses, and though the outside world may not see it, they aren’t afraid to share that with their woman.

”I understand that Noah is my friend. And the biggest threat that the man has ever faced...she’s standing right in front of me.”

Overall, this was an edge of your seat, sexy ride that ends in a blink of an eye. I couldn’t put this book down. I needed to know who, why, where, when, how?!? All of it! My heart was racing and blood pumping through a majority of the book. If you’re a fan of romantic suspense, then this book and series is a MUST READ.

Noah hasn't seen Claire since Chicago a few months ago at her sister's funeral. He had told her that if she ever needed anything, to call. Claire finally calls him in hopes of getting a job at one of his hotels. It seems someone from her past is making sure she doesn't keep a job for very long before she has to pack up and move on. He wants her for more than just an assistant.

 photo null_zps239bd844.jpg

Claire's past is coming back to haunt her and a lot of people are being murdered. Claire knows that she loves Noah, but it seems anyone in her life is being killed so she thinks she needs to get away from him in order to save him. Noah just doesn't see it that way. He let her go once in Chicago and he won't make the same mistake again. He will do everything in his power to keep her safe. Even kill for her?

"What's the difference between love and obsession?"

I know I've said it before, but.....

I love, love, love, love this series. It's perfect length to fit in between longer reads, it's hot as sin, the alpha's are fiercely protective and possessive, (my favorite), there's danger lurking behind all corners, and mostly you suspect everyone before the end. I'll say I had the killer pegged in this one, but I did second guess it once, okay maybe twice.

This third book in the series is about Noah and Claire. They met in the second book during the height of Skye and Trace's....drama. Claire had a horrible past. And she's been literally running from it every since. Noah has the same past as Trace, except he had a fatal drama go down that was different than Claire's but somewhat ties them to one another of sorts. Noah has spent his time sleeping only with woman after woman and never caring about any of them, but immediately he knows Claire is different. Claire feels the same about Noah, but knows he's dangerous and she's done dangerous before and is still trying to get away from it.

Of course shortly after the book starts bodies start dropping like flies. And they all point to Noah and/or Claire being the possible killers. Noah has decided he will protect Claire at all costs.

I really don't know how much more I can say about this book or series that I haven't already said in previous reviews. I loved Noah. I didn't think I could like a guy any better than Trace in this series, and don't get me wrong he's a hard cat to follow, but damn Noah was hot, hot, hot!! I loved that he would do anything to protect Claire, and without spoiling, I mean absolutely anything. I loved seeing her become more and more comfortable with herself and trusting Noah over time.

"I was told once that you were in love when you needed someone so much that you couldn't bear to think of the world without the person, that you couldn't live without that person being near. I think that's obsession. A need that dominates you. Consumes you. A need for one other person. A need that make you do...anything...to possess that person."

All I can really say is read this series. It's full of twists and turns and like I said hot, possessive alpha men, and lots of dangerous situations, which are before my fave kind of reads. Drake's story is next I believe and I CAN NOT WAIT!!!

So I stand by all my previous comments about Cynthia Eden, romantic suspense can be a tricky genre to tackle, too much of one can over-shadow the other, and sometimes it all just gets lost. Not this time, and not ever in this series, each book is as strong as its predecessor and just as enthralling.

Noah York and Claire Kramer do feature in the previous books, but Mine To Hold is their story, and theirs alone. We found out a little of Claire's past in Mine To Keep, and Noah has been a part of Trace's world for a while so featured in both Mine To Take & Keep.

A lot goes on in this book, (as with the previous), the pace is fast and frenzied, and just when you think you have all your ducks in a row, another one turns up and ruins the whole line up again. I was kept guessing right up until the end, and I loved every moment of it.

So Noah York is a self made man, much like Trace Weston, he has his own personal demons, and lives by the "One Night Only" rule. He is a tiger in the bedroom, a total gent out of it, and has women falling over themselves for the chance of one night, that is until he meets Claire Kramer......

Noah - "I look at you and my whole body burns. I want you naked. I want you screaming. I want to see pleasure make your eyes flash even brigther"

Although polar opposites in some ways Noah and Claire have an awful lot in common. Similar losses, similar pasts and a need to protect those around them. Noah does this by fighting, Claire by running, only she can't seem to run fast enough or hide well enough to evade Noah, and when they unite..... BOOM!

"We touch, we kiss, and we ignite."

I can't gush enough about this series, I have highlighted so much of the book, I could post quotes for an hour. I want more, I hope Drake gets his own book and happy ending too.

I will continue to say the Cynthia Eden does romantic suspense so damn well. She has ridiculously hot characters that are strong, intense and mysterious. She also writes her killers with chilling craziness to make you on edge when you read her stories.

I have loved this series todate and was really looking forward to Noah York's story. He is rich and dominant with a bit of darkness and mystery surrounding him. When he met Claire he was consumed...immediate obsession or was it love???? For once in his life Noah wanted something to keep, but Claire is running from her past and running from anything that would bring her intimacy. She has lost everyone she loves and she refuses to let Noah York into her heart...but the heart wants what it wants, especially when it is being ingnited like a blazing inferno!

Let the games begin...let the stalking, the chasing, the mind games, the mystery, the murders, the doubt begin. Noah has to fight for his control as he vows to keep Claire safe. With the help from the ever sexy Trace Weston and mysterious Drake Archer, he sets out to find Claire's nemesis.

I loved this! I love a book that keeps me guessing and wandering what is going to happen next. I love the hot chemistry between the characters and the sense of all consuming passion! I cannot wait to get into the game with Drake Archer..please Cynthia Eden...let this dark man play!!!!

ARC received on behalf of Season Publishing from NetGalley

When I started this journey four months ago I never expected to end up here. But yet, here I am. Completely in love with Noah York and completely loving Cynthia Eden's ability to craft such suspenseful romances. I figured after the two prior books in this series that I would have been able to figure it out, that I would pinpoint the way she shaped the scenes and gave the clues... but nope. I was kept on the edge of my seat until the end and my mind was going crazy trying to figure it all out. Like if I was able solve the puzzle, find all the clues - I could stop it all from happening.

We've already met Claire, we saw her pain when she lost her sister and we learned her painful secrets of her past. And although we knew that kind of pain would never leave her, we had no idea that it still haunted her, stalked her... obsessed over her. Everyone she has loved has been murdered. And when someone begins systematically killing all those connected to her tragic past, Claire has to face her worst nightmare. But everyone seems to be a suspect.

Noah York is much more than the rich hotel owner. He was a solider, a contracted missionary, a killer. But when he met Claire in Chicago months before he knew there was something about her that made him want to protect her. He saw a darkness in her that although was not as bleak as his own, it was there. Noah is a man in control, he needs it to be sure that he can remain calm. But when Claire is in danger, he is on the verge of losing it and when a man like Noah loses his control shatters and the man he used to be may not be able to be restrained. Everything he wants is within his reach, but all of it could be taken away in a moment.

I loved Trace & Skye's story in the first two installments, but there was just something about Noah that intrigued me when he was first introduced. And he did not let me down. Hands down this was the best of the three books.

Every damn time I thought I was close to figuring it out, the other shoe would drop and my theory would be blown to hell. And even when I got close, some twist would happen and you would second guess everything you thought you had figured it out. At every turn, every suspicion, every guess...

Although Claire's past would have allowed her to be the perfect victim, she was not painted that way. She was a survivor. Even if surviving was not living for the last nine years. She did what she had to do to ensure she made it through. Even when she feared that Ethan was right, that she had darkness within her, she allowed Noah to show her that darkness is not always a bad thing to have.

And oh, our poor Noah. Yes we know that his military and security past was not without bloodshed, but his pain was so much deeper than just the lives that he took. They were the lives he lost. The fear of losing the one thing you love because you failed to save them.

Noah was intense and I loved the little bits of insight that we got with the simple lines of his inner thoughts throughout the story. He was possessive and protective of Claire and did not give up for one second on his need to make her his.

I can't say for certain if I loved the suspense of this or the romance of their story more. All I know is that Noah York was down right perfection from start to finish and Cynthia Eden rounded this series out with a brilliant story. I am not sure yet if we will ever see a fourth book for Drake. I hope so, there is something there in that man's insane mind that makes me want to get a closer look.

Cynthia Eden is a veteran writer and this installment in the Mine series is amazing. Cynthia writes amazingly hot and super sexy love scenes. She also knows how to build suspense to a boiling point. I adore this series and loved this third book in the series.

Claire Kramer has been leading a life on the run. As a teen, she feel in love with the wrong guy. He was charismatic and his family was wealthy and influential. When things went terribly wrong, Claire ended up feeling guilty for the devastation her romance left behind. Despite the fact that her ex was behind bars, she found herself being stalked by someone on the outside. Claire finds herself in danger and she ends up at the doorstep of Noah York looking for a job.

Noah York met Clair when working for his friend. Claire's sister was murdered and now the ex-military group of men decide to take Claire under their wing. The only problem is that Claire has a way of disappearing. A trick she had to learn the hard way. So when Claire shows up on his doorstep, Noah vows to never let her go.

Someone is after Claire and the stakes are getting higher. She is being followed and people are turning up dead. But who is after her and why?

When Noah starts making strong statements to Claire, she gets scared. Her ex-turned-psycho did a very similar thing. Claire has no idea if Noah can be trusted or if she is falling into another horrific relationship.

As time runs out, Noah needs to figure out who is after Claire in order to save her. When the evidence starts pointing in an unexpected direction, Claire and Noah must decide who they can trust.

The sexual chemistry between Claire and Noah is off the charts.

In the end, someone is going to have to die. Who will it be?

Mine to Hold is a suspense filled steaming hot romance. I was either biting my nails of fanning myself, and I loved it. Cynthia Eden is a sure thing! If you like romantic suspense then I highly recommend you read this one. You do not have to read the prior books in the series to read this one but there are tie-ins. This one wraps up neatly at the end as well.

Another great recommendation! A new romantic suspense author (for me) that will have me hooked on her books!!

I just found myself a new Romantic Suspense author that I will be devouring her books! This was such a great read.

Even though I started the series with book #3 (…a bit backwards) there was enough background in this story that I didn’t feel lost at all. Cynthia Eden does such a great job writing Claire and Noah’s story.

What I was hoping for was a story filled with suspense, an intense alpha hero, a strong heroine and a mix of supporting characters to kick things up a notch. And what I got was just that!!

The heroine Claire has been through so much. She is trying to cope with the horrific things that have happened in her life. In her teens, her parents were murdered and recently her sister was murdered as well. All she seems to be doing is running. She is living a life that is detached from emotions. She doesn’t want to love anyone because for Claire everyone she loves is brutally taken away from her.

Noah is the hero. He is very successful, very rich, very sexy, quite possessive and certainly intense. Noah and Claire had met at the time of her sister’s funeral. He resisted her then but when she comes to one of his hotels asking for his help, there is no way he is able to resist her twice. From the moment Claire walks into his hotel hoping to get a job, he knows he has to have her. He has to protect her at all costs.

Claire’s past has finally caught up with her even after all her efforts to keep them out of her life. The insane family who has been tormenting her since her parent’s death has surfaced again. Claire is horrified.

Noah is there for her. But will he be able to give her all she needs. Noah has his own demons he is fighting and his own inabilities to love. He does all that he can to protect her and keep her safe. Will that be enough?

Noah and Claire’s story is filled with some crazy ass people and some twists that keep you on the edge of your seat. I took that deep breath at about 85 % percent and said we are good now. Then WHAM! I am shocked once again! I was reading like a maniac trying to get to the end. When I did….I was happy!

All the supporting characters were great too. I loved Trace and Drake. I can’t wait to go back and read the first two books and I hope to see a book about Drake!!

“I want to let go.”

A furrow appeared between his brows.

“I want to stop playing it safe. I want to not care what happens beyond the pleasure that you can give me and the pleasure I can give you.”

That furrow smoothed away. His eyes heated.

“I want to let go,” she said again as their eyes held. “I want to burn instead of always being so cold. I want to claw your back. I want to buck against your hips. I want to scream.”

“All you have to do is ask.”

Claire is the victim of a terrible, violent crime when she was a young woman. As a result of what happens, she not only loses her parents but also earns a powerful enemy that vows to make her life difficult. She is forced to run, from job to job, from city to city…she’s been unable to come to terms with her loss or feel safe anywhere or with anyone. Until Noah.

Noah is sexy, powerful, and so freaking intense. He’s also dangerous. His desire for Claire is unwavering and his need to protect her fierce. He is a total alpha, even going so far as to make certain decisions that in real life would have gotten him slapped in the face, but in “book life” makes me want to swoon. Trace (from book one and two of this series) was a hard act to follow but I actually ended up liking Noah more. Way more.

His hold tightened on her. He drove into her again. Her sex was contracting around him, aftershocks from her release.

“Nothing like this…never like this…” He heaved into her. Tensed.

She was staring into his eyes when he came, and Claire actually saw his gaze go blind with pleasure.

“Claire!” He kissed her. “Mine...”Noah whispered against her lips.
His hands still held hers pinned. She was spread beneath him. Filled with him.

Surrounded by him.

Mine.

There were a couple instances where I was a little peeved with Claire. With Noah’s military service, and later with the work he did with Trace and Drake, he obviously was put in very dangerous situations where violence was most likely a requirement to continue to live. Claire’s questioning of his past made her seem both naive and insensitive. The fact that Noah was scared his dangerous past potentially might scare off Claire made me want to comfort him…okay, well maybe that had more to do with my feelings for Noah than anything =) I also got a little tired of Claire constantly wanting to run and disappear but I guess that became a natural instinct to her after her years on the run. To me, if you’ve been on the run for years and you meet a devastatingly handsome and well-connected man whose main purpose becomes protecting you, you stay put! But this is fiction and I guess the story requires a certain cat and mouse play, so I get it.

She lived in the darkness for years, and now finally, she could see the light.

I honestly love this series. I love the simplistic story lines and the strong alpha males who will do anything to secure the love and safety of their beloved… maybe it’s not original but it totally works for me! Coupled with Cynthia Eden’s always on point writing, this series is one that is a must read for me and Mine to Hold was definitely a great addition. I do have a small bone to pick with the author though…what in the world is next for Drake? I think the readers deserve a hint, a lead in, something! I almost thought he might have some future connection with the female detective from the story but as the book progressed, I changed my mind on that. I am dying to know what she has in store for that cynical, hardened man!

Mine to Hold would work fine for a stand-alone. Although certain earlier events are alluded to, I don’t think reading the first two books in the series are necessary but I recommend starting from book one if possible. As far as the next book, I haven’t seen any news on if or when another book will be released. I’m hoping that Cynthia Eden will not let readers wait too long before the fourth book is announced. I’m definitely excited to see what’s next!

“The rules are different with you. Everything is different with you.”

Let me just start by saying that Mine to Hold is my FAVOURITE book in the series!!!!

I loved the electricity between Noah and Claire! Even in Mine to Keep we could see that there was something between them. A pull, chemistry call it as you want but was soooo scorching hot...

Claire needs a break. From life! Having nowhere and no one else to go to she grabs the only choice she has, Noah. Noah has been waiting a long time for Claire to come to him and now that he's got her, he's not willing to let her go! Determined to start her life anew Claire is eager to try playing the game called "Life" again. But her past won't let her...

The only thing Noah wants is to protect her. To give her the life she deserves and should have always had. Noah is ready to finally give himself but fear is keeping them both back!

"He hadn’t been afraid, not since his parents had died. Even when he’d been battling the enemy—in ice, in sand, in the dankest forest he’d ever imagined—Noah hadn’t been afraid.

But I was scared when she was so still on that sidewalk. Fear had come back then, and he wouldn’t forget the feel of its icy claws raking into him."

Mine to Hold was trully a startling story. It has action, love, fear, passion everything mixed so amazingly together. I think that's one of the reasons I loved their story sooooo much. The other reason is their pasts. Noah and Claire were so alike that it broke my heart to see what these two people had to go through..

The thing I hated the most about this book was, Claire's constant running. I understand that she had trust issues but I thought being with Noah would help her get over them! Apart from that the whole book was perfect.

"She loves me.”

“Yes, I figured that one out pretty fast.”

“I love her.”

“That one was obvious, too,”

In this book we see characters from the previous books in the series such as Trace and Skye, who are sooooooooo happy (they so deserve it) and Drake. I was so surprised when I saw him and then I thought "He has a reason to be here" and he did but then I was so disappointed because I waited for a HEA for him as well. Please Cynthia write a book about him. Everyone got their HEA except him, it's so unfair, he was so saddddddd... :(

I can't say it enough but this book was BRILLIANT. I just hope we see more of Claire and Noah (maybe a small novela???)...

Highly recommended!!!

My thoughts: The synopsis had me at “He must have her” and the book didn’t disappoint. It was half of a romance and half a suspense read. Since I like more than reading about just a couple’s romance these kinds of books work for me. Alpha male meets tormented heroine and makes her life better with a protective MINE mentality with a military background. This book had my name all over it.

Mine To Hold

The Characters:

Noah York
Claire Krammer

Co-Stars: Trace Weston, Drake Archer, Ethan Harrison, Austin Harrison

The Story:

Overall I really enjoyed this story. I was happy to pick it up and trying to sneak in any reading time I could. The story line seemed well thought out and progressed wonderfully. I will admit at times this read kind of like a TV show, which is fine with me because all books are movies/shows in my mind anyway.

The Random Thoughts:

A spoiler heavy blow by blow of my thoughts while reading: Read With Me: Mine to Hold

Sigh Claire was way too timid and weak for me, as a survivor of such a horrific incident I had high hopes for the pivitol moment when she'd dig deep and find her inner strength and come out with fire and sass, that however didn't happen so I remained disappointed. Noah,Noah,Noah! he was apparently a manwhore of epic proportions, never sleeping with the same woman twice and if I understood correctly, having a different one each night. My mind boggles at the math so I pretended not to have read that part. All in all this was just ok and definitely not what I was expecting/hoping for.

RE-read (cause I liked it that much!!)

5 Stars- Hands down my favorite book of the series!!! I love Noah York.

Mine to Hold is book 3 in the "Mine Series" by Cynthia Eden. The first two books follow Skye and Trace, book 3 follows Noah and Claire.

The books hooked me right away, the beginning was intense and all throughout the whole story. Noah is a playboy, who owns his own set of hotels, but he also has a dark past. Noah served in an elite force for the military with Trace and Drake. Upon return they started a business together. Noah was gifted a hotel from one of his jobs and used it to remove himself from the security business.

Claire has been on the run non-stop. She lost her parents during a horriffic murder by her boyfriend. His is currently in prison, but her life is not safe. His father, a powerful ex-senator wants her to suffer. She is constantly changing jobs, cities, and on the run from her past. After losing her sister Sara- who worked for Trace, she finds herself on the run again. While at her sister's funeral, Noah told Claire that he owed her after they both were victims in the plot to hurt Skye and Trace. Claire finally finds herself needing to turn in that favor and asks Noah for a job. She has been pushed as far as she can be pushed, she is almost out of money and needs to beg Noah for help.

Noah is intense and will not have Clair begging. He wants Claire like he has never wanted anyone else. He agrees to hire her but makes his intent known that he doesn't fuck his employees but he will give her a job but when she is ready for him, all she has to do is ask.

Noah instantly becomes protective of Claire and helps her throughout the twists and turns of the book. She wants to save him from her past as much as he wants to save her. Noah is used to woman doing anything to get him, including planning out his future so Noah gets what he wants and moves on. But, he can't seem to do that with Claire, he finds himself only wanting her more.

Claire finally gives into what she wants and tries to leave Noah immediately after to run again, but Noah will have none of it. There are so many twists and turns throughout the story. Suspects are becoming victims and all fingers are pointing at those who would love those people to suffer the most, Claire. I seriously found myself scratching my head trying to find out the killer- awesome suspense and build up.

Watching Noah open up about his own painful past was an amazing view of his character. When Noah and Claire had their discussion on love and obessesion it was truly heart wrenching, because their is such a fine line to walk. Fantastic book, in an already great series (now- will we get to learn more about deep, dark, DRAKE- please say yes, CYNTHIA EDEN!!!)

I enjoyed this book. I wouldn't haven given it 4 stars If I didn't but it definitely didn't match up to the previous two, especially the first in the series which is one of the most enjoyable books I've ever read. This is the first book in the series to differ because it is based on different characters. Instead of it revolving around Skye and Trace (The characters that we fell in love with) it revolved around Traces' best friend Noah and a girl they all recently met named Claire. I noticed a strong similarity with the way the author writes her protagonists, she definitely has a specific way she wants them to be and because of this both main characters seemed almost identical to Trace and Skye. The few differences that were between them were not likeable thus making them not as likeable to the reader as Trace and Skye were. On top of the repetitive characters the story itself was also extremely repetitive, even right down to how the two protagonists come back into each others lives, but this was something I didn't mind too much as I enjoyed the first book soo much, however it would have been nice for a bit of variety, especially at the end which also seemed almost identical. I gave this book in the series a 4 star on Goodreads but realistically I think it would be more of a 3.5 as it wasn't quite as good as the previous book, however you can only vote whole numbers. For people really enjoying the series I'd say it is definitely worth a read but if you are getting a little bored after book two you will most likely not enjoy reading this one.

Rating: 3 out of 5.
Claire Kramer from Mine to Keep has been a victim of an obsessed lover in the past. It is also a past that she can’t seem to get away from. Noah York, from the previous books, is Trace’s friend. He was a part of those secretive military missions that left all of them damaged in their own way. When the two of them meet in Mine to Keep, Noah York can’t seem to forget about her. Except she disappears, only to come back, in the start of this book, to ask help from Noah.

I was really excited when I saw that this book was available in NetGalley because I loved Mine to Keep. But I left somewhat disappointed. Some of the things that I didn’t like were how Noah kept on keeping secrets from Claire, even until the end and especially when those secrets came back with a deadly vengeance to hurt her. I wish Noah was a bit more emotionally available/open? Because in the end, I wasn’t really sure of their love. I also thought it was a bit unbelievable that Claire, the girl who was so terribly damaged and scared from her previous infatuated crazy lover would not show more fear and reluctance when it comes to Noah and his possessive tendencies.

Nevertheless, I will still eagerly await Cynthia Eden’s next books, but this book just wasn’t for me.

This story was such a mess. The h was incredibly annoying and I didn't understand the H's instant obsession with her. This book was very similar to Skye and Trace's story almost to the point where you knew exactly what was going to happen next. The twists became too ridiculous and it felt like even the author did not have a good idea of where she wanted the story to go. The h was not a doormat like Skye but more frigid. I thought the tragedies in her life were overkill and didn't feel sympathy for her. One moment she tells the H that she will not sleep with him then she tells him to f@$% her. Then she decides she needs to leave to protect him and he finds her like 3-4 hours later and they resume their relationship. I wanted to tear my hair out!!! The h is kind of b&%$#y and while I really like Drake Archer, his behavior in this story wasn't believable. He kept warning the h about what a bad@$$ the H was which I never bought in to b/c we never got to see it. Plus, Drake becomes protective of the h but she always acts like a b&%$# to him so I didn't understand. He even encouraged the h several times to leave the H. The story just didn't flow.

I just couldn't feel the lurve between Noah and Claire. Noah was like "Claire is mine" . All. The. Time. No sexual tension, no friendly laughter, no teasing. He just wanted her to be HIS. Exactly like Trace and Skye in book #1 and #2.

At one point I felt that Claire had more connection to Drake, the friend. I'm sure Drake's book is coming up next, just please let Drake be more easygoing than Trace or Noah.

This is getting old, 3stars.
