My name is Kyle Chase. I had a bright future as a heart surgeon until an accident brought my world crumbling down.
Just as I started to get my life back together, I stumbled onto a conspiracy that began thousands of years ago; a secret my family tried to keep hidden from me.
Now, the conspirators want me out of the picture. They will stop at nothing to silence me.
As I try to uncover my ages-old legacy, I release a dark power that threatens to destroy everyone I love.
In true nomadic spirit, Valmore Daniels has lived on the coasts of the Atlantic, Pacific, and Arctic Oceans, and dozens of points in between.
An insatiable thirst for new experiences has led him to work in several fields, including legal research, elderly care, oil & gas administration, web design, government service, human resources, and retail business management.
His enthusiasm for travel is only surpassed by his passion for telling tall tales.
Now we're back on track. This was definitely much more exciting than the last book. I found that I was confused for a moment because Kyle's fathers power transferred to that lunatic Lawrence instead of him. But considering his father's DNA was floating around in that mad man, I guess it made sense. Father Webster (is that his name? Maybe not. Doesn't matter) was a complete fanatical, monstrous lunatic. And his apprentice, though not AS bad was no better. Darcy and Richard showed up right on time to save the day (thank Gawd). Can't wait to see what happens next!
I think this is an incredible series. Now that I am three books in, I can't stop reading. I need to see how it plays out.
The author takes an interesting bit of biblical mythology and combines it with genetic elemental magic to create a conflict that is surprisingly easy to relate to.
