I am not sure about this book, the hero is the a total idiot. He's like a schoolboy on heat. All the hints and signs are that the heroine is a maiden . Her sisters warn him she is not like actresses in London so what does he do. Offer her carte blanche, a total tosser who end up the rest of the book trying to make amends. The heroine wasn't much better, all she did was whine throughout the book, ''I just want to dance''.

Another excellent part of the Trents series

We have already discovered that Adele and her daughter Julia did not die in the coach crash as the appalling senior Bentley claimed.

In this part Julia is now living in Milan and earning her living as a ballerina. Drake Finton (Acker) sees her and falls in love.

The tale follows them and their journey to resolving the revelation of her true identity and the reunion with her half siblings and their partners.

Annoyed.

I've already purchased all 10 books is that not enough to show that I like the series? Now this book is holding my Kindle hostage in that I cannot close it until I rate the book!

This was my least favorite of the series. But it was still good. I liked finally finding out what happened to Adele and Julia. There was lots of dialogue. It seemed the chemistry between the hero and heroine was not up to par as the rest of the series. There was a few steamy moments though,

I listened via audible as I read along and the narrator was just great. All the characters had their own distinct voices, and she did the men's voices really well. I like Marian Hussey as a narrator.

NOTE-If you read this series start with Scots, Spies, and Salacious Lies. Its 3 novellas and helps with understanding all the characters as this series continues to develop.

Drake Acker, who we met in A Misguided Lord, works for the Home Office & like Jordan is a ballet lover. He sees Juliette Mirabelle dance & is captivated. He attends all of her performances, sends flowers & eventually takes her to supper. He thinks to make her his mistress, as he thinks of himself as in some way duty bound to marry Elle but suddenly Juliette, her mother & twin sisters disappear.

A year passes Drake is back in London & sees Juliette, things then progress quickly as Juliette is revealed as Julia Trent. This story brings the Trent’s family secret to conclusion.

Its not my favourite of the series as I didn’t warm to Juliette, I found her self centered. However as I’m reading the series one after the other it does fit very well with the other books. I’m looking forward to finishing the series with the twin’s stories. I’m really enjoying the series & will definitely re read

A few proof reading errors but less than in the other books. These don’t detract from the story, in fact kindle books all seem to have more errors than printed books.

I really enjoyed this book.

I liked Drake more than I thought I would. I liked that even when he thought Juliette/Julia was a ballet dancer that he hadn't ruled out marrying her.

Juliette/Julia was a bit harder for me to like. I understand her passion for dancing. But let's be realistic - I thought she was being selfish. It was all about her getting what she wanted and not really considering how the effects of her desires would affect her sisters or the Trents. It really didn't paint her in the most favorable light to me. She wasn't evil or nasty - she just came across as self centered. It didn't ruin the book for me or even make me dislike her - I just didn't love her :)

I have enjoyed this entire series and am looking forward to reading the twins stories.

Loved the story, Ackers and the Trents!! Ackers saw Juliette in a ballet in Milan and new he wanted her. When Adele learns her vicious husband has finally died, she packs her girls up and moves back to England. Ackers searched for Juliette and could not find her. Her heads home and finds Juliette in England. During a ballet her points Juliette out to the Trents and they realize it's there long lst sister Julia. Not only did they find Julia but learn that Adele was pregnant when she left and they also gave twin sisters. So much happens but for the good and with a great ending.

Taken from an abusive father & unaware of having siblings, Juliette & her sisters know only one life. The chance meeting of Drake, Lord Acker, will change her world & everything she knows of it. Longing for the beautiful & talented ballerina, Juliette, Drake can't find the "perfect" wife. Fate brings them together again & unites a family but threatens Juliette's independence.
