I really had no idea that I would enjoy this story so much when I bought it. I figured that I'd give it a try, but human dog training didn't sound like it held much appeal to me.
It's a testament to the skill of the author that she made the process into something as erotic as it was disturbing.
George was out drinking with his friend Craig one night, looking to make a connection with a classy woman (which may have seemed an unreasonably lofty goal), when he meets the beautiful and mysterious Sadie. Sadie dismisses Craig, but seems interested in George's shy and nervous demeanor. She's clearly very dominant, and offers to take George home with her, so long as he understands that he is her property, her slave, and that she will punish disobedience severely. She leads him from the bar, collared, and with his hands handcuffed behind his back.
What follows is a stun gun fueled ride in the boot of Sadie's BMW, to a secluded country estate. George is forbidden to speak and must remain on all fours, and is fitted with a programmable shock collar to teach him obedience (and it is programmed to shock him painfully if he so much as utters a word).
When he makes the mistake of trying to masturbate while locked in his dog cage, he is fitted with a chastity device, a CB3000, as well as a programmable DL2000 male management device from DreamLover. The DL2000 is programmed to shock him if he attempts to stand upright. The story also features a visit from Anita the "veterinarian", who will be recognized by readers of Sabrina Jen Mountford's stories.
George is captivated and aroused by Sadie, and at the same time frightened of her. He revels in the submissive feelings she evokes in him, and longs for whatever affection she affords him.
The author does a good job of making you believe that choosing to be Sadie's doggie can somehow be a valid and reasonable choice (at least when she offers a choice).
This is an odd little story, but intriguing and erotic.

So because of my submissive nature, I normally enjoy books where the male is the dominate character and the female is the submissive. However, if there is a TPE (total power exchange) I'm usually all in. My problem with most female dominate books is they lack credibility because there is such a mismatch in the strength of the male vs. the female. (Sorry but true.) How can the male actually be the submissive when he is physically stronger? Not to worry with the power exchange in this book. The poor guy is kept completely helpless and that worked for me. The helplessness allowed for the sexual heat to build, the humiliation to foster and the dominate-submissive roles to make sense. (sorry for all my inner dialog.) Bottomline, it is a good, but short book. Recommended for those loving a complete exchange of power with the woman being the dominate character and the guy being treated like a dog...hence the title. BTW...spoiler....no real sex in this book so you are buying it for the kinky storyline. Rating: flat on my back with 4 paws in the air! Translation - 4 kinking canine stars.

Gratifying pet-play story
I'm feeling very satisfied with this story. The story is whole, with a plausible premise, a downslide to humiliation and depravity, and a hanging ending. The narrative is from the male perspective and bears a good balance of descriptions and introspections, the latter I generally find to be lacking in femdom stories. I read it in one sitting, literally devoured it. I felt engaged and could easily relate to the protagonist. The story is non consensual and fantasy based, but very titillating, stroking the all the right chords. Some of the scenes are convincingly described. I still feel the shadow of illness when recalling the part when he is forced to eat dog food. One of the few pet story that I did enjoy. Highly recommended. Thanks Maia.

This is a recommendation from an author I read pretty regularly. She knew my enjoyment of non-con fantasy BDSM, specifically for the femdom depraved ones. She didn't know I love puppy play. I've read a good amount of it. This one is just so-so.
First, this theme is rather popular and exceedingly hawt. One of my favourite authors who writes this is Chris Bellows. Second, all readers need to know that this isn't "realistic" per se, but totally spank bank material. I went into this book looking for some humiliation, degradation and material for "alone time".
This book is a decent start and probably good for those who have never read a femdom puppy play book before. This will probably whet their appetite for more. The story is actually light puppy play. What I mean is, the details are just so so. It's a little too factual description. This makes it too clinical. Basically, the horny perverted theme is made rather dry and unarousing. This is because the female in this book is boring. She take a boy for some sexy time over the weekend and does absolutely nothing as far as training. It's new to the guy and she just "expects" him to behave like a dog. The guy is completely confused. The only time we get real emotion out of him is when he's trying to avoid puking all out the dog food. This is definitely not erotic since my kink doesn't involve puking and having sex at the same time.
As a first attempt, Ms. Fisher does a good job of editing and keeping the story line flowing and moving forward. As for capturing my attention for masturbation, it didn't even get me moist. This book is for those new to the genre and want to see what it can be about.

This wasn't actually that about puppy training. It sort of is, she takes him and makes him play dog for an entire weekend. It's weird though, it feels like it's more about the femdom than the puppy play. I still liked it, it was a decent short read. The force feeding dog food bit was a bit yuck! Not exactly erotic, and it could have stood being longer. Enjoyed it though.

The title says it all.
I love reading puppy play but this one pushed my limit.
George just met this girl maybe a couple of years older than him at a bar when she invited him to spend the weekend with her as her pet dog. He was collared and chained in the bar and made to walk to the car park and locked in the boot of her car for the ride to her house. There he was treated as a real dog, shock collared, a male management system to control his behaviour ;) relieved him self outdoors under a tree are real dog food. Some he enjoyed some he didn't at the end he agreed to be her dog for an other week.
I hope things work out for both of them.

I picked this book because there were so many good reviews. After reading this, I'm extremely shocked. Because it's really poor writing. It's actually a short smut with zero characterization, completely wrong character reactions, and boring action actually. And as we don't know about the character's mentality, and we are not told about their mental reactions properly during the scene, we literally feel nothing. It feels like watching a puppet show with sounds turned off. The premise was basically consensual, but the activities happened much like non-consensual scenario, and then the smut ended up in a way as if everything was happening by consent. There were also many logical mistakes in the premise. Numerous books on the subject of Femdom Pet-Play are written far better than this.
