Dumped on New Year’s Eve by Tom, her only ever lover, ‘good girl’ Lily vows to make up for years of underwhelming sex. Armed with a diary, she resolves to seek out new thrills with no strings attached, in a year of womb-aching, clit-melting sexual exploration. Which is all well and good on paper, but how exactly she's meant to put her mission into practice, she's not too sure.
Though, when an old friend hooks her up with a job, Lily finds herself organizing events with a difference. High-class orgies and sizzling sex are the order of the day, and Lily finds herself drawn into a lifestyle she barely knew existed. And then there's Seb. Unfathomable and totally unavailable, Seb Harper has one hell of a nerve flirting with Lily, and no right warning her to play safe, especially when the world she's stepping into is one of his own making.
Untaming Lily Wilde ticked all the boxes for me, steamy with storyline!
Lily has just been cheated on by her knob head boyfriend on NYE so decides the next year is going to be for her. She's not going head first into another relationship and needs good sex.
As luck would have it her friend has a job opening which happens to include setting up sex parties. (Some girls get all the luck)
And enter Seb.....oh Seb, sexy confident and so generous he decides that Lily needs the year to have the wild sex with different people and offers to wait for her.
And so it begins.
I'm not going to go into every detail as I dont want to spoil it for anyone but theres lots of drama, sex and a little bit of a cliffy...grrr....
All in all this was a great book, with lots of ''Britishisms'' of knickers and cuppas and an entertaining story.
Steamy , saucy , erotic , sexy , could go on and on.Good story line and plot , but killer ending .......I hope book 2 comes out soon to seal the deal ! Great first book and fab freebie.
*I received an arc in exchange for an honest review*
Where do I start?? Well, there's definite hotness that's for sure.
So Lily has been cheated on and dumped. She decides to turn over a new leaf and explore her sexuality.. having just lost an 8 year relationship with her first and only partner. In doing so she meets Seb. He's rich, hot, owns a kink club (so to speak) and is married!
The story that unravels is full of surprises. There's twists and turns, you're not sure what exactly is going on at times and then it just ends! Book two in the works?? Lets back up... Lily is pretty damn hilarious! I laughed out loud a few times that's for sure. The sex is hot! There's plenty of kink, some girl on girl, a threesome, light BDSM, etc etc. There's the beginnings of a romance/relationship between Lily and Seb.. but then things get weird and eventually certain circumstances prevent them from being together.
I liked a lot of the book, the puns and wittiness, the hot factor, the fact that they were British and used words like "knickers and cuppa" .. but there were things I didn't care for. Maybe I just don't care for the open relationship/sharing thing. That always weirds me out. And there's lots of that in here. There were some grammatical/editing errors also, nothing terrible but noticeable. And then the fact that it just ended sort of on a cliffhanger.
Am not sure if I'll read the next one. I enjoyed the eroticism of the book, but not sure if I really felt for the characters enough to find out what happens next.
**Update to previous review.... I recently read "Untaming Lily Wilde" again. I forgot to mention previously how much this book reminds me of "Bridget Jones's Diary". (that's a good thing, I LOVE BJD!) I also caught a few things the second time around that I found interesting... knowing looks and little reactions by the characters. Certain things make more sense now. Also, I have a new outlook on Christoph. (one of Lily's "partners") I think the first time I read it, I was a bit upset with how things had ended.. but in reading again, I am intrigued to find out just what path Lily will take next. I think I will read the next one.
I totally loved this book, it was one of those reads that you couldn’t put down. I was laughing and crying in parts.
Lily Wilde has only ever had one boyfriend, they have been living together and have been partners for 8 years. New Years Eve, surprising him at the office she overhears him on the phone to his girlfriend, turns out he is about to dump her and has been cheating on her for ages. Confronting him, Lily tells him to pack his bags.
Lily decides that she is going to reinvent herself and in doing so comes face to face with Seb. Seb is rich, married, extremely HOT but also has deviances of his own and owns a sex club. Well when I say club he has kinky parties at his house…his house is a massive country estate and we are talking high end clients that pay a lot of money for a good time and anonymity.
Lily decides to keep a diary and gives herself a bucket list of sorts detailing things that she is going to do to give herself this magical makeover and one of those things is to broaden her sexual experiences.
Working at the setting up of one of Seb’s parties, Seb makes his interest known to Lily and soon she is sucked into his world and attends one of the parties as a guest. But is all as it seems with Seb?
I will say, although I loved Seb, I found him to be a bit of a pushover. I would have thought he would have had more backbone, but he was a bit wishy washy at times. I seriously wanted to batter him in places. You wanted to scream at the kindle during some of the scenes with his “wife”. He does eventually man up, but then he does something else that totally aggravates me. While I could sort of understand his reasoning, it didn’t help their relationship at all.
You do get engrossed in this story, so much so I hardly high lighted a thing, which is unheard of!!
This book does contain some very hot sex scenes, BDSM, threesomes, a bit of F/F, but it never comes across as gratuitous. Also, some of the side characters were a bit annoying at times, but we can’t love everybody!
I can’t wait to read the next in the series, I need to know what is in store for Seb and Lily.
Where to start? Oh, okay. First, there are many hot scenes. And second, too many men in one book I can't even keep track of them.
Lily Wilde broke up with her boyfriend when she found out he's been cheating. And then, she promises her self that she'll have a more lively sex life, and explore the world of kinkiness. Then, at a party she caters with her best friend Cayley, she meets Seb Harper. This guy is the ultimate sex-on-a-stick and he makes Lily hot the second they meet. However, Seb is actually married! Whoa, whoa.
Things get confusing when Lily is invited to the 'secret' party Seb and his wife host. And then the shocker comes when Ana, Seb's wife, actually offers to help Lily seducing her husband. Whoa squared. What happens next, of course, they end up having a relationship, and it's a rocky and bumpy one.
I got a lot of whoas in the book. While I like the overall story, I was bored at first. Dumps/be dumped by her boyfriend? It's a little too usual. And then she meets the hot guy, who sweeps her off her feet, then falls into the world of kinkiness, as the guy happens to be a dominant in bed. Maybe I'm too jaded because I've read too many books of this plot. I won't mention what books. But there are things I liked, like how Lily and Seb meets and feel the instant attraction, Seb's gentleman manners, his care/love to Lily. And Olivia's writing is actually very good and beautiful, but the plot is a bit confusing and not very building.
I didn't get to connect with all the characters. Seb, though he's hot and definitely have some manners, doesn't really call to me. Lily is eager to take the role as sex explorer and while I don't dislike/disagree, I felt weird with what she decides on. By all appearance she's pretty innocent, and she's not too insecure of herself, confident. And their chemistry is off. I even felt like I was reading Lily and Grayson, not Lily and Seb. Grayson is really the one who introduces her to things, not Seb, because half of the book Seb isn't really there but off to do some exhibition! Aaaarrgh And worse: Cliffhanger! Really???
What really struck me funny is the reference to Fifty Shades. Heh. At least it didn't feel funny like when I first read Fifty, and I love the book enough to wait for the second one. Just please, please more Seb, not Grayson. I kinda hate Grayson
* I received this book in exchange for an honest review*
In the beginning of this book, Lily the main character finds out her long time boyfriend has been cheating on her and she is very surprised, and of course hurt. She goes to stay with her best friend Emma. Emma suggests that Lily use this time single to experiment for 1 year and write about it in a journal she provides. Because Lily is 24 and spent all of her adult life with Tom the ex, her sex life has been pretty dull. She decides to give it a try.
She also gets offered a job with another friend to help set up parties for rich people. While at her first event she runs into the rich, hot Seb Harper. They have a mutual attraction and great chemistry from the start, but she hears things about him that make her want to keep her distance. He and his friends Ana and Grayson have orgy parties. Lily gets requested to help set up for one of these parties and gets way more than she bargained for.
I don't want to give anything away, but I will say Lily ends up doing some hot experimentation. And, I mean hot, like melt your E-reader HOT! Now, this is where things get sticky, literally. She ends up having feelings for Seb, but he goes out of town and tells her to experiment while he is gone, to get it out of her system. While he is gone she sure does so, but there is also some drama with her ex, that will really make you angry!
The reason I didn't give 5 stars is because I really wanted to hear more about her and Seb. There was more about her, Ana and Grayson. Oh, and Cristoph! The positives are, that there will be another book! And, of course the sex scenes were really good. Also, the way this book ended left me saying, Huh? But, I am very interested to find out what happens in the next book. So, overall it was a great erotic read! Great writing as well!
4 1/2 stars! WTF just happened??? This book was a roller coaster ride and I want to get back on again and again.
Lily discovers her boyfriend is cheating on her and she is devastated because she didn't see it coming. Her ex proceeds to tell her why she didn't make him happy, including her frigidity in the sack. Lily, with the help of her friends, decides to explore her sexual desires for a year and record it in her diary. Lily is hesitant because her ex was the only man she'd had sex with and she doesn't have a lot of experience. Lily meets Seb, one of her clients, who immediately takes a liking to her, inviting her to not only organize a sex party for him, but to participate as well. And just when she decides to initiate something more with the rich, mysterious, sexy Seb, she discovers he's married and she wants no parts of home-wrecking. So when Seb's wife encouraged Lily to sleep with Seb, all bets are off and the fun begins. Seb is immediatly protective of Lily and decides he wants more than just sex and he reveals just how screwed up his marriage is, which relieves Lily of her guilt. Seb is called away for business and leaves Lily in the hands of his wife, Ana, and Grayson, his best friend. Ana and Grayson were there to help LIly explore her sexual side until Seb returns. Seb trusts them, but not completely and for good reason. Lily gets what she desires but at a price. Lily learns the hard way that you can't just trust anyone and your gut instinct is always right. The ending was fabulous. The final chapters left me dumbstruck. Lily is going to need some therapy and possibly a restraining order for all of the screwed up people who have it out for her.
I received this book from the author for an honest review. I enjoyed the book it was a hot steamy read. It follows Lily who finds out her boyfriend is cheating, she dumps him and vows to start having some fun as she's been missing out on it for a long while and starts writing her adventures down in a diary. Lily gets a new job working at an event organisation with her friend when she bumps into the hot, rich Seb 'Lord Harper'. He invites her to help out at an event he is throwing at his mansion, but she needs to sign a privacy agreement. The parties thrown are a little less conventional than normal, Lily starts to help and Seb takes more interest in her, but Lily finds out that he is married. She finds out that the marriage is one of convenience from Seb so Lily starts to see Seb and joins in on some of the fun at the mansion. Her ex Tom comes back, reads Lily's Racey accounts in her diary about Seb and his wife Ana and Grayson, gets jealous and attacks Lily and Seb comes to the rescue, Tom vows on revenge. Seb has to leave for New York for a month for his gallery, he wants a relationship with Lily but wants her to live alittle so tells her to explore more while he is away with the help of Ana and Grayson. But the more Lily explores the more she feels she's detaching from Seb and doesn't really know his past at all, and the more she gets out of her depth with both Ana, Grayson and Tom. A great read, but the ending left me wanting more, please tell me the next book is out soon.
I received a free copy from the author for my honest review, so here it is. This is a really good story, it is hot and steamy. I was not happy with Lily at times, she kept making decisions and then changing her mind. Yes her boyfriend of eight years was caught talking on the phone to his lover while Lily was sitting in the waiting room outside his office. Now he is her ex-boyfriend. So she has to find another job to cover his part of the rent and bills. She goes to work with Cayley, who works at an event planning business. At the first event she works she meet Lord Seb Harper, gorgeous, sexy billionaire and married. He pursues her anyway and his wife Ana seems to be fine with him having an affair as long as they stay married. There are more questions than answers for Lily. But can she have a fling with Seb and not loose her heart? What part does Ana and Grayson play in all this? Lily will learn things she never thought she would understand or want to try. And then there is the diary that Emma gave her on New Years Eve. She writes in it for a while and what happens when the ex reads it? Will Tom (the ex) be a problem for others from what he has read in the diary? Please tell me there will be another book. I want to know what happens with Lily, Seb and Christoph. This is the first book for me by Olivia Fox and I will be reading more from her.
This book was off the charts hot! Lily has caught her long term boyfriend Tom cheating and dumped him. It's New Years Eve and her resolution is to explore or expand her sex life. Lily is only 26 and has only been with Tom. This is her chance to explore sex with with different people.Lily has to take a job with a friend who caters or sets up sex party's for the rich to help pay Tom's part of the rent. Lily meets Seb and they share a connection but Seb is married to Ana. Ana tells Lily I really would like it if you have sex with my husband he needs to get you out of his system.Ana later learns that Seb and Ana have a fake marriage and she and Seb get together. Seb learns of Lily's New Year resolution and is concerned that he entered Lily's life to soon and she needs to explore with different people. Seb has to leave town for a month so he sets it up so Lilly can explore safely with his friends Ana and Grayson who practically runs a sex club. This is where it starts to heat up and things get cloudy. There are twists and turns and bad situations arise. Really though how could Lilly expect to play like that and not get burned. Why would Seb send her to a place he wants no part of? Why can't Lilly just say NO? I didn't like the way the book ended it left things to open. I would like to think she grew a brain and decided sex with Seb was all she would ever need.
** I received a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review!**
This book is about 26-year-old Lily Wilde, who finds out on New Years Eve that her boyfriend of 8 years has been cheating on her. Lily is tired of being the "good girl" and tired of unsatisfying sex so she makes it her New Year's resolution to have a year of wild sex. What she doesn't expect is to have gorgeous Seb Harper wanting her. Especially since he is married! Things get even more confusing when Ana, Seb's wife tells Lily to sleep with her husband! Things aren't as they seem and after Lily is told the truth, Ana, Seb, and their friend Grayson all help Lily with her New Year's Resolution.
Warning: This book is definitely NSFW! It's got light BDSM, girl on girl, and even a couple threesomes! If you like 50 Shades of Gray you will probably like this book!
I enjoyed reading this book. Some parts shocked me, but it was pretty interesting. The only reason I gave this book four stars instead of five is because this book has a lot of British terms in it and I am not British so I didn't understand some of it!
Very good book though! I definitely recommend reading it! Can't wait for the next book to come out!
Great book from Olivia I loved the story it was hot and steamy, except the end was to quick I need more about Lily and Seb.
It was easy to read, I loved some of the British terms which are not difficult to understand, this book is a mix of threesomes, F/F and some BDSM, so keep your mind open.
The good girl Lily is about to explore her new found freedom after an 8 year relationship with Tom who has cheated on her.
What way to begin your New Year’s resolution with a planning of one year wild, uninhibited, self serving sex in her diary and a new job. She starts working with her friend Cayley at an event planning agency. Her first event is at Bellevue Events and also almost her last if she did not meet gorgeous and hot married Lord Harper, or just Seb.
Seb will to anything to see Lily again and hires her help for his wife’s pleasure party, but can he behave himself in the surroundings of Lily? And what’s the deal with Anna his beautiful wife and the sensual lawyer Grayson.
Will she have a romance/relationship with the married Seb and will she explore the wild pleasure parties?
To find out all the answers and a lot hotter steamy details go and read the book, I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.
3.50/3.75 stars. This book was sent to me for an honest review and I was advised that there would be some +18 material. Obviously, there were some seriously steamy scenes that were very well written and left you breathless, but what I thing is the strong point in this book is the diary/non diary descriptions that help you connect with the main character Lily and achieve the needed deepness in order to really understand her, in some parts better than the others. This was also the weakest point, in my opinion, in the book because we get to go into Lily's head but we only have a couple of looks into Seb's mind that didn't let me connect with him. I also didn't really like some of the other characters and didn't get the point of them being in the story, but I guess I'll find out in the next book. I'm confused with the end of the book and with Lily's feelings, wich left me thinking that her relationship with Seb wasn't strong or consistent enough (once again suported by the lack of scenes on Seb's pov). But, despite some parts on the story that I didn't get, the book was increadibly funny and sweet in parts and overall very enjoyable. I guess the next book could definitly make it or break it for me, but I'm curious to see what will happen and rooting for Seb and Lily.
This book seriously got on my nerves! What were these people thinking behaving the way they were? Things that I didn't care for - Lily's vocabulary in reference to body parts and dungeon equipment - waiting to see which of the other characters would screw Lily over first - Seb's persuading Lily to have 6 months of sexual experimentation with other people while he sits on the sidelines and then he leaves town for a month leaving her to fend for herself in a world of BDSM that she knows nothing about - Seb's entrusting Lily's safety to Ana and Grayson when he knows the relationships he has with those two are strained and uncertain - Tom of course - the feeling of everyone in the book (except maybe Emma) was manipulating Lily for their own purposes - the ending, I understand cliffhangers but this ending left me feeling like I was missing a few pages of the book
Things I liked - Emma always being a shoulder for Lily to cry on and friend to lean on - the sex scenes were pretty hot
I am not sure I felt enough for the characters to see what happens to them in the next book.
I received this book in exchange for an honest review.
Where to start?!?! I don't give out 5 stars too often but this one definitely deserves on in my opinion.
This is the epitome of an erotic romance. Some books are either all sex or all romance but this combines the two beautifully. Not only does is it one of the sexiest books I may have ever read but it has intrigue that keeps you guessing through the very last page. It is so descriptive that I honestly had to wake my husband up in the middle of the night...and it wasn't to tell him I had a headache. ;) The story line was fantastic, the characters real, and humor that had me not only smiling to myself but with laugh out loud moments. So if you are looking for a full length true erotic romance novel with panty dropping sex scenes look no further. I will warn you that the ending leaves you wondering. Some would call this a cliffhanger but in realty this book could actually end there if you are okay not knowing the full story. Personally, I'm thankful that Ms Fox is following this one up so Lily's story can continue. Here's to hoping things end up the way I hope they do.
First I wanna thanks for the copy that I received! This book told us the story of Lily Wild, a sweet girl who was cheated and dumped , after a long relationship with her boyfriend Tom. She can't believe she didn't see the signs that their relationship wasn't good enough for him. With the help of her friend Emma, she decided changing he life. She starts with a new job and promises herself a life with uninhibited sex. The work as planner of events with another college friend Cayley shows her another world. Some of these events is sex parties. She meets Seb, a beautiful and rich man who leads her with help of other friends to a world of kink sex. She starts to have feelings for Seb and they have a sort of relationship, but the problem is Seb is married. For me, Lily changes from water to wine dramatically! The story has many turns, the sex is really hot, but the end not worked for me, I mean I need the next book now to know what will happen with both of them.
I received this book in exchange of an honest review. *****what can I say IM SOOOO PISSED OFF, not because the book was bad but because I have to wait till next year to know how this unbelievable story ends!!!i The wait and uncertainty is going to kill me!, this story completely blew me away, I have read few books on BDSM and erotica but nothing could prepare me for this, it felt real, natural, it's a story of self discovery but each scene is perfectly described. The writer I felt took a gamble by writing some of the book in a monologue style as the female lead is keeping a diary, and as with some previous books I have read in this same style it could get tedious, in the case of this book it was a beneficial factor to the fluidity of the story. I feel I can't say much about the plot as it will ultimately will give too much away, I'm a big fan of the 50 Shades trilogy but this is way better, I just hope we get to see the end in the next book will not be able to wait for 3rd one.*****
I would have given this book more stars if it were not for the ending. I am hoping this book is the first of a series because it had such an abrupt ending. No real closure for the two main characters.
Lily Wilde embarks on a journey of sexual experimentation and discovery. She meets Seb who helps her on this journey with the help of his friends Ana and Grayson. She begins to have real feelings for Seb and they try to form a real relationship, but things get out of control. Not to give too much away but Lily suffers a major betrayal. This betrayal has a negative impact on her relationship with Seb.
I believe that Lily and Seb's story is unresolved. There are also others unresolved story lines that need to be addressed. So I hope there is a sequel.
First off, this book was hot. The sex scenes were dirty fun. And if I'm being honest, this book and all of its Fifty Shades glory was, IMO, actually more BDSM fun then 50S. This naive girl falls for sexy billionaire dom was actually more interesting to me than 50S. This is Lily and Seb's story. Well. Basically Lily's... Well, Lily's sexcapades, more so than a story. The heroine's trusting naïveté was beyond ridiculous and caused many an eye roll. But the overbearing nature of the side characters of Ana and Grayson, as opposed to Seb himself, was kind of a fun twist. In fact, I have decided to retitle this book. The new title shall be: When you are too naive to handle your life, and your friends are assholes by Olivia Fox.
First, than you to the author for the book in exchange for an honest review. I enjoyed Lily's story. I think it was well written and edited. I also think the author did a good job with the steamy scenes. Throughout some of the scenes and plot, this book made me think of Cruel Intentions. I also enjoyed that we had a clear view into Lily's head through her diary entries and helped relate with her. I'm torn a little about Seb because I had a hard time connecting with him since he was not there for most of the book, but in Lily's thoughts instead. I am looking forward to the next installment. I am disappointed that it won't be available until spring 2014!
I received a copy from the author in exchange for a review.
Well-written and spicy. I was especially intrigued with Grayson.
I felt that some of the diary entries were too long. I think that some of the content of diary entries should be told in the moment to make the book stronger - especially with the activites of Greyson and Seb.
Lily's indecisiveness made the story seem realistic. I like the way she tried out some things she normally wouldn't consider. I loved the twists, and Ana and Tom were good supporting characters. The plot was great, and the ending left me wantng to read the next series.
WOW! WOW! WOW!!! A must read!!!!! Amazing book!!! I loved every moment of it!!!! Thrilling, mind blowing, butterflies in the stomach kind of book!!! I couldn't put it down!!! Sexy, kinky and ho so romantic!!!! Really well written this book makes you hold your breath all along!!! Very creative with mysterious, sweet or dangerous characters Seb and Lily ( and i hope christoph) welcome to my favorite couple list!!!! Thank you so much Olivia for allowing me to read it!!! Two thumbs up your work is flawless!!! But please please tell me there is more and when can i read it :)
Lily is a young woman who recently found out her boyfriend of many years has cheated on her and moved out. Needing to earn more money to pay the rent, a friend hooks her up with an event planning job. A major client holds regular kink parties and the host takes a liking to Lily. The book starts out pretty well, but Lily continually allows herself to be manipulated into multiple sexual situations and this was very annoying. The characters were interesting, and if Lily had more of a backbone she would have been more interesting as well.
Wow. Although this story is another following in from the recent fascination with this genre of books but I have to say this one was very good. I really like how well the characters came to life with the writing really letting them into hearts allowing the story to really come to life. I liked how some of Lily's story was told through her diary. Although there was a lot of hot steamy sex it was well written and in context. I would definitely read more from this author.
This was interesting captivating read that drew me and had me want to finish to see how things played out… There is cheating in it but the marriage is one of convenience more than anything else… In addition Lily is in experienced in… Overall a good one that I may continue reading to see how this all plays out … In some aspects it reminded me of the 80 days series… 4 star read… (and I just discovered this is a no longer offered title and the author cant be found...)
I received this book thru the author for my honest review. I loved this book. There is drama, sexy hot scenes and a really great plot! Thank you so much for letting me read and review your awesome book. Sorry it took me so long to read and review it life got in my way... Lol if your looking for an awesome read to get lost in this book is for you and you won't regret it!
I read the Arrangement first and then this one. I'm not going to compare the two because the characters don't intertwine a lot. And I thought there might be similarities but nope! The two books are stand-alone. Book was longer but more details into the characters, the setting and storyline.
Read for honest review: It was honestly awesome. It was hot and eye opening to what people really want in their lives. But it is said how people use others to gain at the same time. I am really looking forward to the next book, as this one was outstanding. Thank you.
