Diana was born and raised in the Pacific Northwest. Always the artist, painting, acting and drawing were her mediums of choice until she discovered the written word's ability to create strange new worlds, to craft new life and new civilizations, to boldly take readers where they've never been before. (Geek Bomb!) Besides writing, Diana has a full time job, a beautiful baby girl, an equally beautiful teenaged live-in sister, a black border collie- lab mix (or a borador), two sleek black cats and an adoring husband all packed into a humble cottage on a hill.

ARC for Honest Review

This is going to be hard to review without giving anything away. I liked it. This book showed Raina moving forward and becoming more of a nurturing role. I liked seeing her in a relationship with Damon, it grounded her and gave her some stability which she desperately needed. There are many changes in her life and questions of who and what she is, thus depressing and causing doubt about herself. I like Raina's character, she has such a fierce protective side even for people who treat her like dirt, she has morals and so self sacrificing. Great qualities to read in a character. I like that there is a bit of a love triangle forming, spicing things up a bit and forcing Raina to see she needs to stop settling. There is a lot going on in this book, and the mention of a lot of side characters so beware and take notes. No one is as good as they seem, everyone is hiding something which makes you wonder who can she really trust. As a whole, the book was great, the detailed background can slow you down a bit, but the suspense, mystery, romance and action are well worth it. I am not sitting her anxiously waiting to see where Raina is going in the next one. More Alistair please :)!!!

This book was given to me by the author in return for an honest review and I would also like to thank Ms Graves for giving me the opportunity to read and review this book.

After reading the first two books in this series, I was very keen to find out how Raina moves forward in "Grave Omen" and it didn't disappoint.

So much has changed since the last book as Raina continues to grow in her abilities. This book is well written and the details are very well captured. Most of the occurrences in the book are totally unexpected. It is full of suspense and most of those loyal to Raina remain faithful but betrayal comes from where it is least expected and so does love. More unsettling secrets are revealed from Raina's past and her family. Just when I was beginning to like Raina's mother, more deceitful revelations are uncovered and I am not sure if she has any decency at all.

As for Rafael, it's difficult to know what his real objectives are and I admit that I find myself loathing him.

The most surprising revelation to me is Raina's latest discovery about herself. I didn't see that one coming and all this amongst being pursued by ruthless murderers.

The other thing is, being so self righteous, Raina is beginning to have dreams about multiple partners and it would appear that she is having problems getting these out of her mind despite the fact that she is living happily with Damon and her small family? Is this the making of a Demon or is she really changing personality?

Please note this book is for adults as it contains some adult scenes and some violence.

The author says, FIVE STARS! LOL. Big surprise there...Grave Omen is the third book in the Paranormal Washington series, and I believe this book is were the story makes a drastic change in focus.

It seems readers either love or hate it because of the sexual content, so be warned. If you don't enjoy the steamy bits, this book may not be for you....or you could just skip chapter 6. LOL, either way.

Two years after Mortal Sentry, Raina has found peace with who she is. Then she's asked to help find a group of killers, and her life spirals out of control. Alongside a wedding and other happy events, death is at every turn as the gods, demons and angels play in Western Washington at Raina's expense and destruction.
