This book will be very useful for those who can not be alone. I enjoy being alone and spent also many years abroad mostly alone. Facing fear is a life long task for us to learn. So basically face the fear and admit our loneliness. Below i copied some paragraphs to keep.
The book is written in a very sincerely introspective tone as if the author is pouring his heart out to readers in a face-to-face conversation. The more I read on, the stronger I felt an intimate connection with the author via our shared struggles and hard-learned lessons in coping with fear and loneliness, both of which hold so much direct and indirect sway over many other aspects of our lives, including our family relationships, friendships, self-confidence, indulgence, social recognition, loss aversion, decision making, risk taking, etc. Through deep, repeated self reflection, we can all pierce through the unpleasant surface of our fear and loneliness, rediscovering our inner courage and will to understand, accept, forgive, and even love them.
