She was my beginning - my end. The woman I wanted by my side until we were two cranky old people who still carried weapons and shot at squirrels when they ran in front of us.
I wanted a future with her.
I wanted a present with her. I just wanted her.

The Eagle Elite series is the first series I've read by Rachel Van Dyke, and while the first book in this series wasn't that great something made me carry on reading the other books and boy did it pay off! I just love reading books where stuff happens, you know! I mean my first love is romance, but I love mystery, murder, drama and action so much! I love the rollercoaster of emotions when I read an intricate plot! The Eagle Elite series is one of those hit or miss series, where you're either gonna love it or you're gonna go running off into the tree and hide until it's over.

Entice, is Chase and Mil's book.. Mil is now the boss of the De Lange Family! Unfortunately none of her family want her as the boss, and her life is in danger because of it. Because of her father, the De Lange's have no morals, stooping as low as killing their own family as long as they can get power and money. To protect herself, Mil proposes a marriage arrangement to Chase. No emotions involved, it would be a business arrangement. What she doesn't tell him is that she loves him, and has since she was fourteen years old.

Chase is still pining for Trace, and everyday that he's around Trace and Nixon is a trial. He's still wants what he can't have, until he starts spending more time with Mil that is. And sees what a strong and kickass woman she is. I'd have to say that I definitely preferred Mil to Trace. Mil had a good head on her shoulders, and while she needed Chase's help she didn't sit back and let him take care of everything, she played an active part. And yes she loved Chase but she didn't beg and plead for his attention.

Chase had my heart, but he would never have my soul, it had been taken from me the same day I'd earned my scar, never to be returned.
He'd been right about one thing. I'd refused to feel because I'd refused to go down without a fight. I was going to finish what the De Langes started, and they were all going to die.<.i>

Besides Chase and Mil's POV, we get a POV from Nixon and Tex as well. Some pretty crucial information about Tex is revealed in this book. Tex always seemed like the goofy one in previous books, the lackey that everyone shunted around. But it's quite obvious he's not, Tex is a cold and methodical killer through and through. I'm very excited to read his book because of this!

A new villain is also revealed, the Godfather of all the families, the biggest threat to Mil's life and everyone else who is around her.

"You are the bravest person I've ever met."
She closed her eyes.
I gripped her chin. "Open your damn eyes."
She tried to jerk back, so I squeezed harder.
"You're going to look at me when I talk to you."
Her lips trembled.
"You're incredible."

This book could have easily been a five star read for me... because I'm easy like that. But I had one little problem. The sex scenes. I mean at one point I was reading and suddenly realised the characters where having sex and had no idea. Here's a tip, it's called a pussy and a dick. Coming into someones heat is way too vague for me. FYI that was not a direct quote just an example.

Other than that I thoroughly enjoyed this book and I'm really scared that we're running out of characters and the series is going to come to an end, Hopefully the author can create another awesome Mafia series to prevent that!

I would just like to state that Chase is my favourite and I love him. I think more than Nixon (don't hurt me).

Mil was also a great girl, she's a kick ass heroine and really comes into her own within the duration of the novel. Plus the emotional development between these two is splendid.

Great plot, plenty of excitement with the twists, turns and all around mafia badassery.

I will admit though, I wasn't really expecting the book to partially be from Nixon's POV. I sort of figured that since this is Chase and Mil's book, there wouldn't be any focus on Nixon and Trace still. There was some, and it was fine, just surprised me a little. Ultimately I should've assumed, considering Elite and Elect had POVs from a few different people, but whatever.

Any who, hello cliffhanger, meet Shannon. I need Elicit now. Like, right now.

The first time I read the series, like everyone else I had my favorite character. Chase for me was it. Nixon he was the martyr asshole. Wait a minute, is there such a thing?

Sure Nixon had the asshole part down in spades, plus the shit he did was always for others but that's the same way I saw Chase and he was the guy who kept getting screwed.

description

Trace.....ugh what's to say about her other than I still hate her. How she was able to flip her emotions on and off like a light switch is mind boggling. But that's the thing about the characters in the series, they fall in and out of love so easily. Like turning on a water faucet.

As much as I wanna hate Mil and Trace, I'm at the halfway point to where I can't. Rachel Van Dyken ensnared me into their web of lies, heart stopping drama and their life and death choices and all I can do is reach for the next book. Five stars, happy reading!

If you have read first two books in series, you know that there was love triangle between Nixon,Trace and my hero Chase.
I was rooting for him since first page and now I am so glad that he did't get the wrong girl!
See,I feel sorry for him when Trace chose Nixon, but now...looooove how he and Mil works together!

description

Chase deserves his happy ending and I was really happy how this book ends.
Mil had been in love with Chase for ages, and in time she started to hate him. Now,when her father and brother is dead, she needs his help. So Chase agrees to marry her to help her,and protect her from another mob bosses.
In the end they finaly start falling for each other.
Chase is my favorite character in whole series, and this one was pure joy for me cuz he finaly get the girl, and I can feel what he felt for Trace and now for Mil.

I'm a biiigggg fan of Rachel Van Dyken, and this is my favorite series of hers. I didn't know how I was going to feel about this book, because I was totally on Team Chase in the first two books.
But since Ms. Van Dyken is magical, book three of this series is now my favorite. She did an amazing job creating a heroine who was strong and yet vulnerable, a woman who fought her way through a heartbreaking past... and a hero strong enough to earn that heroine's trust. And Chase as a hero... OMG. Buh-bye, Gideon Cross, I just dumped you for my new mafia book boyfriend.
And apart from loving this book as a reader, as an author I'm forever in awe by the flawless writing and the way all the little threads are so neatly tucked in. I highly recommend this book. Now Rachel if you please, go get busy with Mo and Tex's story. Cause I can't wait!

Go to Chase and Emiliana/Mil...

Talking about a second chance romance, they pulled it off through fire, pain, hatred, passion and sacrifice...

Perfeto!

And here, more of Nixon and Trace, more of Tex and Monroe/Mo, pretty much are fantastically incorporated as they are also better developed in characterisation than i would expect them to be.

Fast, gritty, with a snarky humor, these elements improved the basic storyline which made it quite an enjoyable reading material!

These books are super easy to listen to and I am getting deeply involved with this crew!!! The coolest thing about this book - it is told from multiple POV's. So even though this book is about Chase and Mil and their relationship, you get their POV's.......and many chapters from Nixon, Trace, Tex, etc - since the whole greater story involves everyone. I didn't realize how nice that is in a story like this - hearing what's in everyone head!!

So even though I am super into Mob books, this one is pretty tame - these are still young adults and even though they all carry guns and have security - they are literally just fighting family drama the whole time!!! Which does make for a page turner ~ And boy was I on the edge of my seat for this one!!! I wouldn't even really categorize this as too much of a romance!!! Either way I am really enjoying this series>>>>here I come Tex and Mo!!

This is book #3 in the Eagle Elite series, and the series just keeps getting better and better. This one is about Chase and Mil, who have major history together. Many years ago, they both lost their virginity to one another, but circumstances made it so that they parted ways. Mil had major feelings for him, and Chase just moved on with life and ended up falling in love with his best friend's girl. Knowing he can't have Trace, because she is in love with Nixon, he decides to say yes to a propostition from Mil. As these two spend more and more time together, their feelings start to grow strong for one another. Through their growing attraction, secrets start to come out, and there is major danger on the horizon. Chase, Mil, and the whole circle of friends and family fly to Vegas to figure out some of the situations that are coming to the forefront. Chaos develops, and lives are in danger; but this is what happens when you are a member of the mafia. Will all of the "good guys" make it through? Or will the "bad guys" succeed in taking back the power that they crave? This book is not only full of romance, but also action, adventure, and friendship.

I thoroughly enjoyed this installment, and it was an added bonus that we got several POV's. Not only did we have Chase and Mil's povs; but we continued to have Nixon and Trace's through out the book. I enjoyed that, as in book two, I felt that there was unfinished business between Nixon and Trace. We definitely get the treat of seeing more of them. Chase and MIl though, are a couple that I fell in love with. Chase is a great character, he can be hard core and dangerous when he needs to be; but he also is extremely loyal, sensitive, and hilarious! He highly amuses me, and between him and Tex, they provided some really good comic relief through some rough times with the mafia.

My only complaint would be that I would have liked a more sex..I think this is kind of funny considering it wasn't too long ago, I was complaining about another book that had too much sex in it! LOL Now all of a sudden, I have too little! The sex is a little bit more in this story as it has been in books one and two..I am thinking because this series is more along the YA genre, this would be the reason that it is kept to a minimum..This book doesn't give off a YA vibe to me, so I tend to forget that the sex isn't graphic for a reason!
The connection between Chase and Mil though, is very powerful as it is, and there are some sizzling scenes between them that are quite fulfilling.

Once again, I will say that this is a series that I am very glad that I took a chance on! I am eager to read the next story about Tex and Mo..Tex is the comedian in the group of friends, but he has some major intensity to his personality, so I can't wait to see what he will bring to the table! I am going to take a little break; but will be coming back to it in no time!

After finishing "Elect (Eagle Elicit #2)", I couldn't wait to get stuck into this book. With the way book two of the series ended, I knew that this one was going to be mainly focused on Chase and Mil and knowing this couple, I was going to get one hell of an interesting read and I was not disappointed. Rachel has once again delivered a story that was full of nail biting suspense, edge of the seat drama, and a whole lot of violence. There was even time for some swoonworthy romance. The mafia world is never a dull one!
I'd refused to go down without a fight. I was going to finish what the De Langes started, and they were all going to die.

The story began with yet another heart stopping prologue that almost made me tear through the pages until I knew just what it had all meant! I was then transported back to the present day. Chase had been propositioned by Mil and just as I expected, he had agreed to the proposition. Despite his feelings for Trace, it was time for Chase to move on and accepting Mil's proposal gave him the encouragement to do just that. I was keen to find out the reasons behind Mil and Chase's arrangement and I was sure that I would most probably discover even more secrets along the way.
Chase was anything but safe. In fact, he was damn hazardous to my health. But he was also loyal. And I needed loyal more than anything.

Mil had always come across as such a feisty, hot headed girl. The type of girl that you wouldn't want to pick a fight with. however I soon discovered the truth behind this tough girls attitude and I was surprised by what I was reading. Mil was frightened and scared for what her future held. She was also a girl who had had her heartbroken with no hope of it ever being repaired. I felt truly sorry for her and I had a new found admiration for how she was living her life with so many demons surrounding her. I was so pleased that Mil now had Chase by her side. I knew that he would never fail her.
"Whatever is is, Mil. Just let it go. You can trust me-I'll protect you until I die. If you remember one thing from these lips, it's this. I'll die before letting you go."

I had fallen in love with Chase in the previous books of the series. I'm sure that most readers did. Chase was a strong, loyal guy with a heart of gold. He was a good man, no wonder that Mil had chosen him to be the guy to help her in her time of need. Chase was more than capable to save the day, the only thing I was concerned about was how he was recovering from what had previously gone on with Trace and if that was going to affect his relationship with Mil. Having now read the story, I realise that I had nothing to worry about. Chase took his new role very seriously. He was committed to Mil, body and soul and it wasn't long before his heart played apart in their new relationship, too. Maybe accepting Mil's proposition was the best thing Chase had ever done.
I could kiss her tears away. I could offer her my money, my body, all earthly possessions, and in the end, I would still be wanting more. Because I was already falling for pieces of her.
As usual, with this series, the story wasn't just about Mil and Chase. The author had given a lot of the characters their own chapters, written from their own POV. So not only did I get the chance to catch up with Trace and Nixon but I also had the opportunity to discover what was going on in some of the other characters heads and the parts that they were playing in the story. I found that this really helped me understand what was going on and it also helped me connect with the characters. One of the characters that took me by surprise was Tex. Tex had always appeared to be a bit of joker and a playboy. Never taking life too seriously, despite the dangerous lifestyle that he was a part of. Now I have an extremely different view of Tex. His story was one that pulled at my heart strings. The next book in the series is all about Tex, so I am looking forward to uncovering more about his secretive life.

"Entice" was another brilliant instalment to the series and gets ❤️❤️❤️❤️ from me!

5 Chase Lovin’ Stars

I really like this series. I love the drama, the action, secrets and all the characters. I never wanted it to end.

Summary

Chase and Mil are getting married. She is a mafia boss and needs Chase’s protection. Chase is still hung up on his crush, Nixon’s girlfriend, Trace.

What a complicated story huh?

Review

I like Chase, he was always there as the best friend and comical side character. I was really torn up with his love affair with Trace. You felt his pain. Now, he is trying to get over his broken heart and do what needs to be done, protect his family.

It’s very hard to for me to like a series when it’s not just about the main character. I love Chase and I love Mil’s story, but what I love most is all the drama that is involved. The book is written in many POV’s, mainly Chase and Mil, but every once in a while we get Nixon’s. I thought I would be annoyed by getting Nixon’s POV, but I wasn’t.

I loved getting glimpses of Nixon and Trace’s relationship. No, there wasn’t too much drama with the couple, but they had a few issues. We even get a few Tex’s POV, which I also loved because I’m a sucker for character development and I totally understood I was getting prepared for Tex’s book, which is next.

Chase and Mil have a history. There are no flashbacks, but we do get tiny bits of their history here and there. Mil has been in love with Chase ever since they were kids, but she knows better than to fall in love with someone who loves someone else. Mil has her heart guarded.

In the mean-time, you know what hits the fan and it seems that there has been a hit on Mil. The whole gang is trying to figure out what’s going on and Mil’s childhood past issues may be the key to figuring out why there are men after her.

Even though the prologue had the ending at the beginning, it was the perfect bam in your fact opener. I was glued to the pages from start to finish. I was never bored and I was always on my toes, especially the ending.

I recommend this series.

"Nuestra historia era evidencia de que a veces, cuando intentas escribirla tú mismo, te quedas atascado. No puedes ver todos los resultados posibles. Tal vez por eso es mejor dejar que la vida siga, porque a veces te sorprende."

Los libros son adictivos. Demasiado empalagosos para mi gusto.
Sigo odiando a Trace.
Mili es de lo mas genial y con Chase♥ son una pareja BOMBA.
Espero leer el siguiente en algun momento ♥

I'm glad that Chase got his HEA and I liked Mil BUT I really needed Mil to address Chase about his feelings for Trace. She knew he loved Trace but turned a blind eye to them. As a woman...I don't think I could do that. I would need her to verbally tell me.

"I don't even know how it happened, how she'd maneuvered her way into my soul, how she'd made it so that I was overcome with madness for her -- a type of obsession that I never wanted to be done with. She had destroyed me, and in my destruction, I'd found my salvation." Chase Winter Entice

If you haven't read the first two books in the Eagle Elite series...you need to read them ASAP. Entice, is the third book in the series and well my favorite so far. It's probably because I am absolutely in love with Chase Winter. Chase is a huge part of books one and two, but Entice is his story.

Chase Winter is part of the Abandonato crime family. His cousin Nixon is the head of the family and Chase is his go to guy. They are basically 20 somethings who run their family through Eagle Elite University. Whenever anyone talks about Chase they talk about how loyal he is. Nixon trusts Chase with his life and more importantly with Trace Rooks, who is the love of Nixon's life.

When we left Chase at the end of Elect, he was broken hearted since Trace told Chase she loved him, but Nixon owned her soul. Chase thinks Trace is his true love and he is devastated by her choice. Personally, I would have chosen Chase, but Trace didn't have those same feelings and well, her loss is Mil's gain.

Anyway, imagine my surprise when Emiliana "Mil" De Lange who is now the head of the De Lange crime family asks Chase to marry her and he says yes (I died a little inside). Mil thinks being married will give her more credibility as a mob boss. And her choice? Well...she's been in love with Chase Winter ever since he took her virginity when she was only 14. There's more to it than just losing her virginity, but just go with it for now.

The De Lange Family is at the bottom of the organized crime food chain and Mil's goal is to change that. Clearly, not everyone wants to see that happen. And even some of Mil's family would like to see her "eliminated".

In true Pulp Fiction style, the book starts kind of at the end with Chase getting shot and me freaking out. So of course, I read like crazy to find out what happened to my Chase (Nope, I'm not telling).

This leads us back to the beginning, where Chase and Mil get married. Their nuptials are presided over by another mob boss and are almost comical since at the time neither of them wants to get married.

Chase and Mil's honeymoon is definitely one to remember, since on her wedding night, someone tries to kill her. It's about this time when Chase starts to realize he has feelings for Mil. Of course Mil thinks Chase is still in love with Trace and brushes off in true Mil fashion any advances from Chase. Then he kisses her and literally rocks her world. Chase doesn't kiss like an awkward teenager anymore. Not only is Chase gorgeous, with dark hair and green eyes, but as Mil puts it, "He has the body of a god." He's also tatted up which makes him that much hotter.

After the attempt on Mil's life, the whole Abandonato and Alfero families accompany Chase and Mil on the next part of their honeymoon where Mil has to try and get herself out of a mess her father created for her when she was a teenager. Mil has a definite back story. She's got some secrets that she finally shares with Chase, (who becomes uber protective) and even though she got my man, she's a kick ass chick and I like her a lot.

Add into this mix the mob boss of all mob bosses who is shady as hell. A fight scene that looks like the bad guys might win and Chase Winter, who is just so swoon worthy it's ridiculous.

If you love Trace and Nixon, don't worry. They are part of the action. Trace is freaking out because Nixon's hasn't popped the question and they have their own issues to deal with.

Then there's Tex and Monroe, who aren't together, but add their own twist to the story. And as much as I hate to say it, Monroe is funny as hell when she puts Tex on blast. Oh and plot twist... When you find out who Tex's dad is, it's a what??? moment.

The story keeps you involved from the beginning until the very end. I read all three books in succession and I literally gobbled them up. I absolutely cannot wait until Elicit comes out. Tex's story is going to be bad ass!!

As a fan of all things mob related, I can give Entice a resounding five lip smack review. And I could only wish someday I'll find my very own Chase Winter.

So at the end of Elect we were left with some lingering questions. Would Chase really go ahead with the plan to marry Mil and help her become the head of the De Lang family? Would Trace get over the fact that Nixon is truly alive and that everything he did was to protect her? Would Chase be able to get past his love for Trace? What about the mysterious Tex, would we learn more about him in this book? All answers we are looking for... What do you get from Entice?

You get a riveting twisting roller coaster ride that takes you from a wedding to a heart stopping whirlwind trip of love, loss, betrayal and revealed secrets... I can't even begin to describe that when reading this I was literally on the very edge of my seat wondering what was going to happen next. Through each heart stopping moment I was riveted to Rachel's words and the world that she creates with this group of characters. The interwoven and intricate mafia world that Rachel has created is truly addicting.

As we begin Entice you know that something BIG is coming the whole time. The book literally starts with a BANG and just never stops. The prologue tells you there will be an EPIC moment that is a turning point in the series and when it hits, I was left breathless and hoping that what was to come wasn't going to break my heart. This series certainly has a knack for testing my patience from beginning to end!

Along with all the serious nature of the book there are some downright LOL funny moments that still make me chuckle weeks after having read the story. Nixon is such an easy target for Tex's hilarious banter, and once Tex is under his skin he pushes Nixon's limits...

Chase becomes a completely different character in this book, no longer the lost and lonely, he now has something to truly fight for. His and Mil's relationship comes out of left field and will make you fall completely in love with him all over again. He gains perspective and focus and Mil will stop at nothing to gain the respect and love she deserves from him and the families. Her strength and characters snarky attitude lends a whole new side to this series. She's a strong female with a resolve made of steel but a soft feminine side that will make you admire her.

As this book unfolds you will learn a lot about the families. Some things you will be exited to learn and some you will wish you never read. As with every book in this series it has an end so it's not a cliffhanger but some things will open your imagination to what is next to come for the Elite clan... Long gone are the days of hiding. A war is on the horizon and the one thing rings true... Blood In. No Out.

All the way through this book I kept asking myself why I kept reading it instead of DNFing it. I really wasn't a fan of Chase and he certainly never treated Mil like an enemy. In fact, he starts the book with a broken heart but gets over that extremely quickly for Mil. Any dark parts are all about other characters being gross paedophiles/Ephebophiles. There were twists that I didn't get that maybe were because I didn't read the first books. This book didn't really entice me to go read those either. (Trace and Nixon are supposed to be a super couple but I didn't get that feeling in this book.)

I did stick with it and finished it.

This series is so. damn. ADDICTING!!!!

I freaking love Chase, and I had no idea what to expect from Mil, but holy hell, their story was freaking awesome!! I'm not usually a fan of an arranged marriage but I really loved the whole premise of Mil taking over the De Lange family and marrying Chase as her protector. This was action packed! And I really enjoyed how we got so many POVs because, you guys, there is so much shit that goes down in this one!!

I had to take a little hiatus from this series do to sickness, holidays and vacation, because this series needs to be devoured in a single session. So now with nothing else on my schedule, I can't wait to do just that!

Here is one of those sequels I have been dying to read ever since I put down ELITE. Chase deserves his happy ending and I wanted to give him that right after what happened previously. Trace & Nixon is having theirs, his should be next. But happy ending seemed to lurk in dangerous grounds, and he needed to pass by it in order to get it.

It was one heck of a ride with this two! I knew it would really be a handful, knowing they had a past, and Mil is now the head of the De Lange clan. Mil, however, is not telling the whole truth. She might tell him some things, but she’s keeping the rest. It took one favor, and one yes to once again start a chase, a chase that might lead to their deaths.

Mil had been in love with Chase since she was fourteen years old, along the years, it turned into hate. Now, he had agreed to help her – but he was as dangerous to her heart as she can remember, and perhaps more. Chase had grown to be pretty much dangerous and irresistible – a fatal combination that might destroy her heart. He protects what is his, and he would do anything for his wife, even if it means catching a bullet to save her.

Chase can be dangerous, but he was Mil’s safe. He can be sweet when he wanted too and he was adorable when he follows his wife around like a, well, puppy (although it’s hard to imagine a mafia boss do that!) I was really happy when he finally realized that someone else was meant for him, and embraced the emotion rather than ran away with it.

Mil, on the other hand, didn’t know what it takes to be a Mafia boss, at first. She was young, she was a woman, and now she was the boss of one of the Mafia Clans. How can she do it? Perhaps, Chase would help? Perhaps it would Chase who would lead? Ah… Mil gave me the biggest surprise of my life when she put on her big girl panties and acted like she was born to be the head of the clan. I freakin love this girl!

The family secrets were small blasts that kept on detonating until the final blast in the end shed enough bloodshed I wonder if I can handle one more secret from these guys. This is what makes this novel so engaging to read – the surprises that keeps on popping up on each pages and the suspense that had me biting my nails the entire time.

Of course, the group was still complete. It was nice to see Nixon and Trace once again – Nixon finally being able to breathe freely once he was sure Trace was all his, and of course Mo and Tex whom I definitely come to adore – I wonder what the future holds for them… I’m sure their story would be an exciting one!

I fell in love with this series the first time I met this young mafia guys who are fiercely brave and loyal. They can be dangerous, but they protect what is theirs and they love their partners with everything that they have. Once you started reading this series, you will love the characters more and more as we dig deeper into their world and face all those risks that comes with their position. It’s a compelling read that will have your hearts beating out of your cage with its suspense and action, swoon with its romance and squirm with its steamy scenes.

Now it’s TEX & MO’s turn – I can feel the excitement had just risen to another level. Yay! Can’t wait!

Best one YET!

When was the last time a prologue could make you feel things that it would normally take an entire book to accomplish? I'm not sure I've ever experienced that until now.

Chase has always been my favorite of the Elite. He's always been so loving and gentle and still is, but we get to see another side in this book. He's fierce, and his bad boy side gets to come out and play! Mil, I loved her from the start. A woman that can scare this group of guys? That's my kinda girl. We also get to see a softer side of her in this book.

Poor Mil, she has lost everyone. Now she comes into the position of head of the family and is instantly a target. There are some dark secrets the family is trying to protect and they will kill to keep them, even if it means one of their own must die. Marrying Chase is her only chance of survival but will she and Chase survive each other?

I received this book in exchange for my honest opinion.

Holy sh*# wow! I really enjoyed this one!!

Entice doesn’t disappoint readers as it is filled with intrigue, suspense, and a lot of action! In this, loyalties are tested, relationships are put to the test, and old rivalries between Mafia families reach their very brink!

Readers definitely will be at the edge of their seats with their e-readers as love, danger, and chaos really ensue in this third installment of the Eagle Elite and will make you wonder who is true and who is not.

You will definitely be “Enticed” by this explosive read!! I know I was!!

There is something about this series. I find them to be meh...but can't stop reading them. This one didn't have as much childish drama, so that was a big point in it's favor.

It seemed like all the characters learned a lot about themselves, but to do so, they had to lay themselves bare. There were big changes all around, so it will be interesting where things go from here.

Oh wow! This series just gets better and better, I have no words. I am completely and utterly in love with Chase Winter. I love this series, I especially love the multiple POVs, in some stories they can be confusing and frustrating, but Rachel Van Dyken has nailed them, Chase, Mil, Nixon and Tex, all spot on. Following Phoenix's death Mil becomes head of the DeLuca family and for her own protection she marries Chase, her first and only love. Chase is still getting over losing Trace and struggling to understand the feelings he has for Mil, add into the mix the many 'family' complications and the gang are facing their biggest threat yet, the Sicilians. I love the writing, the story and I am fully invested with this young group of mob bosses, I love that all the stories flow together, yet are still standalone. Onward and upward, book 4 here I come.
