It was okay. I was happy for her in the end. I read this to try out erotica. I really hate the cover. Not sure how I feel about the writing. There could have been more to the plot and showing the reader more of what outside of the sex made the two characters compatible for each other, but at the same time I can’t be a complainer because I didn’t read this book for the purpose of finding a good story. I enjoyed this being a quick read.

I’ve just read the sweetest erotic romance that I think I’ve ever read! Mating Lexi tells the story of Lexi as she tries to get pregnant! Pregnancy is one of my favourite things to read about, so when I read this I knew I’d enjoy it.

5 STARS!!!!!

Lexi knows she wants to have a child but after the death of her husband years ago, she wonders if it will ever happen. She’s thirty seven when the story takes place so is running out of time. It was nice to read about an older woman that wants to DESPERATELY have a baby. I’m not thirty-seven yet but I’m not that far behind and I desperately want children too!

Enter Noah, a man that happens to just have a coffee with Lexi one morning. From here, the two go on an adventure of wildly passionate sex to get Lexi pregnant. Do they succeed? Does one of them fall in love? Do they both fall in love? You’ll need to read to find out!

This book has everything from funny parts, to serious parts, to damn emotional parts. I almost cried and I NEVER cry when I read, so that tells you I was connected to the characters. I loved all the love scenes! They were very passionate and I could almost feel the steam coming off the pages.

Wow. Mating Lexi was one incredible ride (pun intended).

I found it refreshing to read the relationship development between Noah and Lexi happen as naturally as it does.

After reading the authors blurb about ghost pepper level spice, I went into this excited but reserved as I like my spice extra spicy ;). This book exceeded all my expectations!

If you are looking for a sweet, sexy, spicy read with a happily ever after, this book is one to get.

I look forward to reading more from this author.

The emotional relationship between Lexi and Noah is a slow burn; however they also have a spicy hot agreement where they have sex twice a week and on demand when she is ovulating. The sex scenes are hot and spicy, but the emotional connection between these two characters is a bit bumpy. Both have lost spouses and neither one is a great communicator.

When Lexi tells Noah she no longer needs his services and cuts off their relationship, both of them learn how much they care and have to work on communicating what they want and need.

Even though it's a somewhat shorter story the storyline flows nicely, doesn't feel dragged or rushed.
Both main characters, Lexi and Noah, are extremely relatable. The steam was pretty nice, too!
I would've loved an epilogue though. 😁

I loved this book! A lot of times books like this (breeding etc) are written off as having almost no plot and it mostly being smut but this book I had everything. A really good plot nice of spicy scenes and two great characters with tons of chemistry and understanding. Loved this book and would def recommend it!

Mating Lexi by April Cross is a Planned Pregnancy Agreement Erotic Romance. This story is told from the main females POV, no cliffhanger and a HEA.

Lexi is a widow who has been using a dating app to have one night stands, trying to get pregnant and not telling the men she is sleeping with.

Noah is the latest man she is going on a date with but he figures out what she wants and is on board with it and offers to sleep with her until she gets pregnant.

The story was ok, and the characters had chemistry, but I didn’t care for how Lexi was “tricking” the men into fatherhood.

The premise of this story seems on the weird, but understandable side. A still-grieving widowed woman wants a baby, and can't afford IVF, so she goes about it the "old fashioned" way. But don't let the cover fool you. This is a romance; a bit of an unconventional one, but a romance none-the-less (it's erotic for sure, but also so very sweet and emotional, and it deals well with (gasp!) actual feelings).

I was honestly not sure what I was getting into with this one, but something about it called to me when I was seeking new authors to try, and it turned out to be really quite good. I was delighted by how well-written the story was and how the plot didn't feel as icky or contrived as it might have been given the subject matter--I felt like I could have just ended up with a book written only to throw innumerable "erotic" scenes at the reader, but this goes well beyond that (it's hot af, but that's not the "point" of the whole thing). I felt sad for Lexi and Noah so many times; they were written in such a way that their grief and their decisions made perfect sense (even if you wanted to smack some sense into them a few times). I hate when characters end up hurting themselves needlessly when a few minutes of conversation will save a lot of trouble, but everything works out as it should for everyone in the end of this one, which is always great--even if we're not always happy with how we get there!

Definitely worth a read.

I read this in serial form on Medium and was excited to finally see in a completed book. This was S-O G-O-O-D. It was absolutely realistic and something you could imagine happening in real life. Lexi is a widow of three years , is now in her 30's and wants a baby. Noah is a widower of ten years, is in his early 40's and doesn't want commitment. A match made in heaven, right?

Well, yes and no. The first meeting goes from cool to boiling in a heartbeat, and Lexi has to admit that she hasn't enjoyed an intimate connection with a man quite as intense as this with Noah. Wow! They work out an understanding (contract, so to speak) and begin their twice a week meetings, more when Lexi is ovulating.

Months go by but every pregnancy test is coming up negative. Although the sex is great, Lexie is getting discouraged. Is she going to be able to get pregnant after all? And if she does, will she be able to simply walk away from Noah? With very minor glitches, he's been a perfect partner in all ways: thoughtful, considerate, loving, gentle, forceful when needed and ever so patient.

Then it happens. The test is positive. And everything goes to hell in a handbasket. Read. This. Book. You'll love it, just as I did. I'm sure of it.

Well well well. I’m so glad I had the chance to read this book. Not like other books, this book was focused on the breeding k!nk on both sides so to all my reader ready for a good breeding k!nk book, that one is for you!

The relationship between Lexi and Noah is just 🔥

The story was short but it didn’t feel rushed, which I really appreciated. The development between Lexi and Noah is just 😍 and completely realistic (in my opinion).

Lexi is a widow and looking for someone to get her pregnant, she’s going on so many dates without any success to find the one that could give her what she wants. Yup, because she wants a baby without the father in the picture. In short, she’s just looking for a sperm donor.

Noah is also a widow, not interested in a relationship, and he’s more than happy to help Lexi out (after one coffee date 🙈). The plan was 2 days a week until it becomes more 👀

The breeding k!nk is here all the way through and not only 2 chapters, and on both sides and even after (yup, a real one).

This book was short but oh boy was it 🌶️🌶️🌶️
If you’re into that, go and read it, you’ll not be disappointed 🔥🙈

This is the type of book you go into when you’re in the mood for something fast and dirty, and let me tell you it DELIVERED!

Lexi wants to have a baby. But even more so, she wants enjoys the trying to get pregnant part. Craves it. Needs to scratch that itch that is the act of being knocked up. She goes looking for men to scratch that itch for her, and finds Noah. And maaaaaaaaan does that itch get scratched!

This book was all about that breeding kink. It’s got some great dirty talk, spicy scenes (like, a lot), some sweet moments, and is all around enjoyable.

The only thing that kept this from being a 5-star read for me was the ending. It seemed almost too abrupt. The story focuses more on their physical relationship than anything emotional, which is fine for what this book is. But it felt like the emotion based part of their relationship was all crammed in the last few chapters and felt lacking. I would have like to see more from both of them in that regard.

All in all, this was a great read, and is an awesome tribute all the folks out there who just love doing that baby dance!.

Little Breeding Fucktoy

First, I want to say that even though this definitely falls into the category of erotica, there're a lot of emotions bundled up between the pages, too. I laughed, cried, and cringed in between getting riled up. A great read!

I’m not sure how this went from me denying him a treat to him edging me, but then I remember what happened in the coffee shop. I assumed I was taking him home to turn him into MY fucktoy, when instead he turned me into his.

I like how Noah knocks Lexi off-balance a few times and has her rethinking some of her preconceived notions. They have some hurdles to overcome, but I like how this started with a lot of heat and little conversation and slowly morphed over time. It's very realistic in that sense.

There are some things that were left open, like Josh's accident, but all-in-all, this was a solid, albeit very sexual, book. I look forward to more!

I would have called this a slow burn romance if Lexi and Noah hadn’t jumped right in from the start, but I loved following along as their relationship evolved from a mutually beneficial arrangement to a real emotional connection. The sex scenes were hot and if you’ve never read any BDSM, this is a mildly kinky novel to get your feet (and other parts) wet with breeding dirty talk and a touch of domination. Both Noah and Lexi were very well-developed and had me liking and hating them at various points in the story. Noah bordered on cocky and arrogant at the start and Lexi seemed a bit blasé about sleeping with strangers in order to get pregnant. This was a single POV story and I would have liked to see what Noah was thinking/feeling too. With ups and downs, a lack of communication and baggage that both MCs had to overcome to move forward, it was a roller coaster ride to the very end.

I thought this was going to be a romance book where two people agreed to have a child together. Well this was not what this was. Lexi is a widow who is desperate to have a child in fact she arranges these coffee dates to ask potential fathers how they feel about wearing condoms. When Lexi arranges to meet Noah for coffee she believes that he will be her man toy and that she will dominate him. Boy was she wrong! Noah is a dominant, filthy dirty talking man who is in absolute control of their spicy romps and there are many. Now the way he speaks to her does border on degradation, but this is a kink they both seem to enjoy. There were a couple of different kinks in this book. If you are sensitive and particular about certain things you may want to go in cautiously. I enjoyed this book it kept me engaged the whole time. I was curious about how they would resolve their issues. This was my first book by this author but I would gladly read another book by her.

It's a well written book that was easy to read. I however have mixed feelings about this book because of the character Lexi which is why it doesn't get 5 stars from me. I'll try to explain why without giving away any spoilers. I really didn't like her and how she was essentially willing to use people to get what she wanted. She creates a particular situation and then is surprised when Noah sticks to the plan and doesn't "open up". Her friend Kylie also ends up basically using/manipulating the guy she's with to get her way as well. The only character I liked was Noah. I was hoping to see some growth in her character in that area but that didn't happen. There was no acknowledgment or apology for her behaviour so the HEA ending wasn't very satisfying for me.

Our heroine wants to get pregnant and she has a plan to accomplish just that. No commitments, no lasting entanglements, just a child of her own. But plans don't always go as we hope and she just might end up with more than she bargained for.

This is a novella length erotic story with breeding as the theme. The story is well written, easy to read and features and small but well done cast. Both our hero and heroine are nicely developed and solid providing the perfect actors for our play. The plot moves along at a good pace with some interesting twists along the way and plenty of steam. It was really quite fun to watch how our couple interacted, on all levels. Overall, this was a very enjoyable story and I definitely look forward to more from this author.

This book started right in! I loved how there was nothing gentle about the intro! She knew what she wanted and was going for it! Instant chemistry between Noah and Lexi. Super steamy and sexy. Noah can come talk to me anytime!! 😉 I felt like the story was a little rushed but I often feel like that on standalone books so that could just be me. I read it in like 2 hours! Great change from some of the darker stuff I’ve been reading lately! Overall a good storyline with some drama so it not just all sex scenes. I just wish there would have been more of an epilogue where we could have seen more into the future!!!.

When I signed up to review this gem, I thought it would be high smut, low plot. What I got was a really beautiful story about two people who were matched in the BEST way but couldn't seem to get out of their own way. Please don't be confused, there was PLENTY of spice!

The premise of this is so plausible in today's digital world and my heart hurt many times for Lexi as she tried to fill that hole in her life. Let's not leave Noah out, give that man a dang trophy for the A-game he brought.

My only wish for this was for more of Lexi and Noah in a longer book or an extended epilogue. I also demand more like this from the author. Either way, do your smutty heart a favor and read this one!

This book was a nice change from the FMC and MMC being young or an age gap. Both leads are older than 35 year old. Lexi being in her late thirties knows her biological clock is ticking and is looking to get pregnant. She's trying to get pregnant the bed way she can think of and doesn't have time for the games of dating. She meets Noah on an online dating site and the story takes off from there. It's a HEA with a lot of spice. Lexi is funny and aside from her antics, is relatable. Noah is hot and I enjoyed getting to know him along with Lexi. Overall, a great book. Definitely will be re-reading again.
