Unlock Your Purpose and Unleash Your Potential

Do you want to fulfill your life purpose? Then it’s time to stop looking for purpose and start using the divinely placed purpose inside of you. Your destiny is not waiting to be found, it's waiting to be released!

New York Times Bestselling author and evangelical statesman, Bishop TD Jakes, shares the key to fulfilling your purpose and releasing your potential: Power.

It all comes down to divine meetings—God’s power with your potential. Power can be released through specific people, strategic meetings, significant moments. Regardless of how power comes, you must learn how to prepare your potential for the life-changing, destiny-altering collisions with supernatural power that launch you into new levels of living.

By drawing from the powerful analogy of Elijah and Elisha, Bishop Jakes shows you how to:
• Discover your purpose
• Unleash your potential
• Remain focused during difficult seasons
• Position yourself for destiny-defining moments
• Recognize your power encounters and seize those opportunities

When your potential meets God’s power, you are on the way to fulfilling your purpose!

"When Power Meets Potential: Unlocking God's Purpose in Your Life" is an excellent follow-up to another T.D. Jakes book, "Identity: Discover Who You Are and Live a Life of Purpose."

"When Power Meets Potential" goes into greater depth of developing your potential, i.e. Developing characteristics of readiness: one characteristic - patience. Being patient where you are are, patience protects from second-rate pursuits and patience prepare you for the power to step into your purpose.

A well written book full of excellent information.

When Power Meets Potential is an excellent, teaching book. It helps to understand and accept the process of waiting on the Lord’s timing. This book explains how God uses those seemingly inactive periods to prepare us for the next level of blessings and increase.

Pastor Jakes steady use of similes provides clarity, encouragement, and appreciation for God’s way of doing things.

The ‘reflections’ are terrific additions to chapters. Questions compel you to ponder various points and bring a deeper understanding of God’s love.

I’m reluctant to bring this up, but the publisher must’ve mistakenly sent an unedited version of this book. I’ve read other books by Pastor Jakes and never came across any typos. This book had an unusual amount of them. However, those issues didn’t discount the information being shared. I enjoyed reading it and gained greater insight about God’s method of preparation.

I recommend When Power Meets Potential.

I have to say that I really loved this book. It fit in my life for something that is going on in it that I have been struggling with and, as usual, TD Jakes spoke right to it.

As someone that isn't particularly religious, I will admit that I had difficulties to the strong biblical reference (yes, I do know who wrote it) that seemed to have the feeling that there was some redundancy to aspects with the book that I had to read past or kind of decipher around.

TD Jakes writes with such power though that I tend to go to his books first with working through issues of purpose/meaning. I will say that my favorite aspect of the book was definitely the questions following each chapter.
