I didn't make it all the way through this book before the library ebook checked back in, but I really enjoyed what I read of it and I'd like to finish it at some point.

There is just the right amount of history included for each country to keep my attention without bogging me down with information. The history about the beer companies references modern homages or company changes to make that history relevent to the industry today ("today" in terms of when the book was published).

I found it very easy to jump around in terms of what order to read the chapters in. The information in one chapter was not dependent on information in the previous chapter.

I appreciated all the pictures included.

Comprehensive and enjoyable, the book is a detailed snapshot of the world state of beer. In such a rapidly changing industry? Movement? Hobby? Select slice of the foodie pie? The author integrates beer production history, giving a feel for how we arrived at our current flowering of independent brewers.

I won this book in the goodreads giveaway.

This is full of details about the different beers around the country. The history was amazing and I learned about many things that I have never known. If you are a person that loves drinking or even brewing beer, then this book is for you.

I was very impressed by this book and glad I had the opportunity to read and learn more about the beer world.
