The New Sex Bible: The New Guide to Sexual Love by Dr. Jessica O'Reilly, PhD, engages learning about sex scientifically, progressing with creating and/or identifying a sense of self via good hedonism, so one acknowledges oneself well, fully in an interdependent reality at large (rather than less than, to any capacity, as a human being), recognizing every human has a right to fully realize oneself well. When healthily embarking through a sexual rabbit hole of a healthy warren of information in connection with good sex, I decide to buy then read the text due to my choice to constantly practically improve and grow as a mindful individual as well as romantic life partner (especially considering one may choicely-practically grow very well; one may be consistently healthy all one's life and reap the benefits of being so infinitely). I find the text quite informative especially considering the unique tidbits operating healthfully toward one becoming more self-aware, healthily. The text offers far more guiding information via words than guiding pictures. Even so, I find the guiding information to be comprehensible (though like any portion of a text one may need more clarity about, a portion may require a re-reading or so) and quite enjoyable. Additionally, I find the following texts may assist one in further deliberating contexts of concepts within The New Sex Bible: The New Guide to Sexual Love by Dr. Jessica O'Reilly, PhD: Idiot's Guides: Kama Sutra by Dr. Ava Cadell, The Complete Idiot's Guide to Amazing Sex, 4th Edition: Learn the Secret of a Sizzling Sex Life by Dr. Sari Locker, PhD, The Complete Idiot's Guide to Tantric Sex (2nd Edition) by Dr. Judy Kuriansky, PhD, The Complete Idiot's Guide to Enhancing Sexual Desire by Judy Ford, MSW, LCSW, with Rachel Greene Baldino, MSW, LCSW, The New Sex Bible for Women: The Complete Guide to Sexual Self-Awareness and Intimacy by Dr. Amie Harwick, Great Sex for Life by Linda Sonntag, Sexual Happiness for Women: A Practical Approach by Maurice Yaffe and Elizabeth Fenwick, The Ultimate Guide to Orgasm for Women: How to Become Orgasmic for a Lifetime by Mikaya Heart, Naked at Our Age: Talking Out Loud About Senior Sex by Joan Price, Perv: The Sexual Deviant in All of Us by Jesse Bering, She Comes First: The Thinking Man's Guide to Pleasuring a Woman by Ian Kerner, Sexual Soulmates: The Six Essentials for Connected Sex by Susan Bratton, The Vagina Book: An Owner's Manual for Taking Care of Your Down There by The Thinx Inc. There seem to be bibles everywhere for everything these days, and The New Sex Bible: The New Guide to Sexual Love by Jessica O'Reilly is one of them. I don't know whether it's because without sex there are no more humans or because sex is the only human pleasure that keeps the body healthy, but the literature about sex has surpassed any other literature.
In this book, whether you are straight or otherwise (fill anything else for this blank), it is a good read. While the mechanics of sex remain largely the same, our knowledge and attitude towards it shift every few years based on popular culture. So, every generation has its definition and practice of sex.
The writer says that turning 50 does not mean the end of sex-- Baby Boomers are healthier and more sexually active than the preceding generation! New research had yielded more information on sexual arousal and orgasms.
The New Sex Bible is a comprehensive primer to every aspect of sex and how to get it and give it well. Get up-to-date, hot information with solid new takes on core categories like oral, orgasms, and intercourse with a bit of an edge, spicy new positions and daring twists on the old. I enjoyed reading it.
This book is well written and informative. Even those of us who think we have an in-depth understanding of the ins and outs of sex, don't know as much as we think we do, and we are depriving ourselves of the purity and beauty of intimacy. I'm in my mid-sixties and this book enhanced my sexual/sensual knowledge.
If you're looking for some trashy, adult bookstore type of content, keep looking. This is a serious book for a serious subject. I derived far more from this book than I had anticipated. I'm happy I read it.
I don't know who told many a writer that using the word 'Bible' in their book titles is a sure way to get readers. Many a reader are not even religious these days, let alone knowing what the hell the bible is. That being the case, using the words 'Sex' and 'Bible' in the same sentence is a juxtaposition that may probably be repugnant to assistant gods and deputy Jesuses.
So, The New Sex Bible: The New Guide to Sexual Love by Jessica O'Reilly presents nothing new, only a change in attitude towards sex. The mechanics of sex are essentially the same, but now people have gone kinky, and all toys, with the gadgets available for order online, and soon will be stocked in supermarkets. The book is a comprehensive primer to every aspect of sex and how to get it and give it generously.
