Debbi Rawlins currently lives with her husband in Las Vegas, Nevada. A native of Hawaii, she married on Maui and has since lived in Cincinnati, Chicago, Tulsa, Houston, Detroit, and Durham, North Carolina during the past twenty years.

Now that she's had enough of the gypsy life, it'll take a crane, a bulldozer, and a forklift to get her out of her new home. Not that her friends would let her leave Las Vegas even if she wanted to. Debbi's home has become a retreat for writers from both coasts and her guest rooms are rarely empty.

Tanner and Lexy

Got to love a rodeo cowboy. Oitld fashioned, maybe, but man, Tanner is just that...all man. He has the look, the strength and attitude to win. Yes, he's thirty-three. That's old for a rodeo man. Lexy thinks he's just right for a calendar shoot though. When she gets him alone, she'll prove it. Playful banter much of the time. Busy in the bedroom too. Two independent people who need to learn that honest communication is necessary. Enjoy!

Businesswoman Alexis Worthington still has to prove herself to her exacting father and sneering brother in the family firm. She's handed an assignment to sign up a rodeo cowboy for a theme calendar and a cologne. Only, the bronc rider in question had a great run for two years but is now thinking of retirement and his sponsorship contract with the Worthingtons expires in ten days.

Will Tanner hates flying so driving them from Montana to the photo-shoot in Houston in his elderly truck-trailer is the only way to travel. If Alexis hadn't blown so much credit on her Armani suit, on top of her student loan, she wouldn't be doing this job. The good-looking cowboy will suit the calendar, but he's not her usual kind of company.

To start with Alexis is not that sympathetic a character and I didn't think it was that realistic of her to have amassed such debts, when she was supposed to be sensible. Tanner by contrast is a realistic portrayal. He signs autographs for kids and smiles at the pretty ladies, but he knows that at thirty-three it's time to leave the injuries to younger men. Look at all the young riders tweeting their scores, chatting about Facebook pages and marketability while drinking protein shakes instead of beer. Tanner sees the times they are a changin' in rodeo as everywhere else.

The trip is a series of misfortunes for Alexis: her credit card is declined, she has to let Tanner buy her dinner and the trailer bed is lumpy. She keeps trying to deny her attraction to the bronc rider, who mostly behaves like a perfect gentleman. He's got various family issues on his mind, and a life on the rodeo circuit doesn't lend itself to a relationship.

I enjoy Debbi Rawlins's realistic tales of the outdoors. This latest in her 'Made in Montana' series is a change from her usual and there were fewer animals than normal, sadly. There's poker playing, which doesn't interest me, and characters who come and go on the journey, but mainly it's an adult romance on a road trip. I preferred No-One Needs To Know but ALONE WITH YOU is a fun ride.

Lexy finally have the courage to ask her father for a job in his company. And her father make a condition that she to convince a cowboy to sign for a theme calendar and cologne. She didn’t realise just how difficult the cowboy in question is. Will is thinking of retiring from the rodeo and is looking forward to a carefree life after that. Acknowledging that it is going to be his last assignment, he agreed to the photo shoot provided that they drive instead of flying to the photo shoot in Houston. Throughout the trip, series of misfortune happened to Alexis and it is through them, Will get to see the true identity of Alexis whom he thought to be someone who born with privileges.

It is a story of two characters who are at odds with each other but ended up together at the end of the story. Alexis is the founder’s daughter where else Will is a cowboy from a small town. He doesn’t have good impression of her so called privileges life. All that change soon after. I like their dialogues exchange between each other: bickering, teasing with great dialogue. Overall, it is a sweet read for me although there are some plot issues in the end.

Lexy is trying her best to get Will Tanner back to her home to Houston to prove that she can do the job. What she wasn't counting on was falling in love in with the cowboy or finding out what a big heart he has. With obstacles in the way can this work for the both of them and they be happy? The story is wonderful and the author does a wonderful job grabbing the reader. The characters interact well and the story takes hold and you don't want to put the book down.

Thank you NetGalley for allowing me to read for an honest review.

I'm ashamed to say that this is my first encounter with a Debbi Rawlins book. I enjoyed the experience. It was a quick read, a sweet read and I found myself enchanted by her characters. The premise isn't new, but Ms. Rawlins kept the story fresh. The characters were interesting and engaging, the dialogue appropriate to characters and situations, and the pacing quite even. I spent an enjoyable evening with this well plotted story and would definitely read more form the author.
