What do you get when you cross a sweet young widow with a single, slightly flawed, country boy? A great story! I thoroughly enjoyed the build up of the relationship through the structure of a strong Christian foundation. During several scenes, the characters had an inner dialogue with God about important decisions, and I think that added so much depth to the story itself. I also have to admit that the description of the Smoky Mountains was perfect for Ben. I was the perfect place for him to find solitude and happiness and made for a beautiful country setting for the story. It was a great, and inspirational read!

The world is filled with so many awful stories of murders and shootings and just plain bad people. So, when I won A Loved Discovered by Jennifer Collins Johnson, a Good Reads author, I got to get away from all of that! Her book was a touching story about people who have problems to work through, but basically live good Christian lives. She had likable characters, a good plot, and I found myself finishing the book at 2:00 in the morning! I'd love to see Collins Johnson continue this story in future books! If you like books without blood and gore, bad language, and graphic sex scenes and books that make you feel good, this is the book for you!

Didn't keep my interest. I would go days without picking it back up. I try to finish all books and finally did.

A Love Discovered is one of those delightful romances that’s realistic, heartwarming, and fun to read all at the same time. Maggie Grant is a young widow with an adorable son. She’s ready to get on with her life when she meets Ben Jacobs, a man caught between past mistakes and his new faith.

These two characters have sparks right from the beginning. I found myself rooting for Ben on just about every page. He’s an overcomer, and so is Maggie. No spoilers, but the ending is a ton of fun.

My favorite romances are the ones that look at life seriously but still make me smile. A Love Discovered is that kind of book.

This was actually the 2nd book by this author I'd read, and I enjoyed it as much as the previous one. Towards the end of the last book, Pamela & Jack's story, Ben's problems were alluded to, am thrilled that the author picked right up and didn't just leave us hanging...loved this book and how the Lord had work and growth to do in both of their hearts and lives before they could seriously consider moving on in their relationship - but as the Lord was working, they got to know and care for each other deeply

A Love Discovered was a beautifully written book about a widowed mother who unexpectedly falls for the gambling addicted man that reminds her of her no good father. Taking care of her elderly Aunt's business was hard enough but trying not to fall for for the reformed gambler proved harder. This book is a wonderful story of two people falling in love and giving into faith and letting God just guide them.

The story A Love Discovered is a great story of Gods unconditional love. Even though Ben had a past and was a sinner, God loved him. It’s a beautiful love story between two people, but also a love story from God. It’s a good example of the “Be still and let God”. With Maggie’s every day struggles she couldn’t seeing Gods plan for her, but God was laying it all out- even when she thought he wasn’t listening. God is so good, and this story is a great lesson of his love for us.

I've debated if it's weird to review my own stories. Then I decided...why not? A Love Discovered is the third in a series of can-stand-alone stories. The hero is recovering gambler who falls for a young widowed mother. Her son and quirky aunt add a bit of fun to their love story. Each book I write shows or reinforces truths about God and his desires for us. I hope you like the story. :)
