Sebastian Avery is a 6’2 hunk of a man who effortlessly sends the hearts of the girls at University aflutter. And why not? He’s hot, too handsome for his own good and an heir to a multimillion company to boot. But after the freak accident that killed his twin brother, Sebastian was drowned too deep in misery.
Nicholas was willing to pay any price to give his best friend and birthday boy Sebastian a good reason to climb out of his self-imposed hellhole. Nicholas surmised a good romp in bed with a blonde vixen may just be the perfect cure!
Caitlin Thompson has a classic beauty that can tempt any saint to sin. Too bad she is too busy making ends meet to give any interested guy a minute of her time. But in her desperate attempt to save her brother’s life, Caitlin was forced to agree to a bizarre deal – five grand for a sexy dance, another five if it leads to something else. Just do it, get the money and walk away! How hard can that be?
But that single night of white hot passion left both Caitlin and Sebastian wanting for more. But is Caitlin worthy to be with an Avery? Or will she prove Sebastian's parents right - that she is just one of those use ‘em and leave ‘em type?
This book has the potential to be a great book. I loved the way the story flowed but you need to flesh out the story more so we connect better with your characters and work on the ending so it is not so rushed. I was just getting into the story and then it ended. I wanted more!
Other than that, it was an awesome first attempt. With some professional editing you'd have a winner!
PS: I hate negative reviewers, Author's need constructive criticism to become better at their craft. Especially first timers.
A good story. Katie needs money she hasn't got for her brothers operation. Sebastian needs to be heaved out of his depression following the death of his twin. Nick & Susie on behalf if their friends have the perfect solution. A birthday honk, as a present with the ribbons tied around Katie. But somewhere two lost souls find each other & attraction ensues. The twists & turns to the story are endearing & make it an easy story to entertain. Money, family secrets, protection, class divide & assumption, all help bring the story to conclusion & that's where, in my opinion, the pace & skill of the writing changed. It was a missed opportunity, it could have lasted a few more chapters to explore issues raised in the last few pages about acceptance of circumstance, in fact could easily have doubled in length. However, this wasn't to be, fair enough but the last paragraph came across as lecturing to the reader, as a narrator concluding the finish rather than the characters themselves. Such a shame.
I would've given this book 4 stars but can't because of the third person point of view. I love to connect with the characters and "hear" their thoughts. It was a little disconcerting to just know what and how they felt.
Beyond that, the story is great. There's no great surprises but that doesn't make it any less enjoyable.
The author could have done so much more with the ending. I would have been pissed with Sebastian if I was in her shoes - he didn't even have to fight for her, she just forgave him - what a cop out. I felt slightly cheated when I got to the end. Booooo.
